i entered with a good mood & left with a bad one. that pretty much sums it up.
to elaborate; the service was horrible. the girl with the long pony tail is cold & gives attitude for no reason, even if you're smiling she won't exchange it.
the drink was undrinkable. i was patiently waiting to ask about the drink, when i got an'are you gonna order again or?' what in the world is this attitude? is there a problem with me standing in line?
the onigiri was very bland, they do not use the right kind of rice it falls everywhere & there is only a tablespoon of filling. at least the dango was good~ 🍡 & the place is cute
won't be coming here again nor recommending it. it's downtown there are other amazing spots i was just in a hurry this time around
Discovered this little gem while walking my regular route on my day off & saw they had Omurice, which for me is a rarity in the city. I stopped by & absolutely loved my simple meal ❤? the gravy was rich & sweet & the perfection portion, although I would have like more egg & less rice. I was only there shortly but the place is cozy as hell, welcoming & reminded me a bit of intimate little shops in Japan. I'll have to come back & try the Udon & the drinks for I kept seeing them on the lot menus & they all looked delicious, especially the ube latte. Great place to have some good Japanese comfort & a quaint convo. Or just read a book :)
Absolutely amazing! The staff were very nice & helpful! There was a wide selection, choosing just one was very difficult! The desserts were very lovely! The drinks tasted like heaven & don't get me started on the main meal! All of the dishes were divine!
I love their creamy udon! A bit pricy for the proportion but overall the taste is amazing, drinks are good, place can be packed sometimes, service can improve!
Had such a great experience at Café Noya in Montreal. The atmosphere was super cozy, the food was fresh & comforting, & the matcha drinks were amazing. Our female server was also incredibly sweet & attentive, which made the whole experience even better. You can really tell the staff care about creating a welcoming vibe. Definitely a spot I'd come back to whenever I'm in Montreal!
definitely gets busy right around 12 in the afternoon as a bunch of students come to get lunch or matcha drinks. so we did have to wait a while to order as they also don't have much staff during that time. the onigiri have a nice texture with the seaweed. I personally loved the miso & mushroom udon, it tasted like a creamy mac & cream.
Café Noya on Peel is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots! The mango matcha & strawberry drinks are the best so far. Super refreshing & perfectly balanced.
The crème brûlée & the matcha & pistachio cheesecake are absolutely out of this world. You can really taste the quality in everything they make.
On top of that, the staff are incredibly friendly & welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely worth checking out!
The new mango matcha recipe is barely sweet & more like a puree than a syrup/jammy flavour. As a matcha fan who's been a loyal customer for months, I found this drink to be barely drinkable which is the first time I can say this about a matcha from here. Please bring back the old version!!!!
high traffic for students ! but to me that just means its probably cheap & good 😂 solid bowl of udon, nothing crazy, & nice selection of drinks. Quite small so can get full quite fast depending on when you go.
Food & drinks were great. Went early weekday during winter & was not too busy.
