Fantastic real typical Portuguese Food. Men do enjoy this cafe in little Portugal with a real lunch as in Portugal.
wow. just ate here. insane… best Portuguese food i've had hands down. BEST COD we've had in our lives. will be coming back here asap. very impressed. 15/10
Loved going with my mom as she turns 89 years young. Her favourite dish is the Portuguese Cod. Staff are very warm & respectful!! Also loved the terrace come spring/summer!!
Amazing food, great staff & authentic Portuguese experience. Would come back here anytime!
The moment i stepped in this place something magical happened & I was transported immediately in Portugal. Great smells & very noisy, very casual & full of good vibes. The menu is full of incredible Portuguese dishes & the coffee is delicious. I have tried also the pasteis de nata & I think it was a sweeter & les crunchier version of the original one. One thing you should keep in mind when coming here is that this is a cash only place.
This small Portuguese restaurant wasn't one of mine & my family's first choices, as a matter of fact when we searched for restaurants we didn't see this little corner show up but as we walked around looking for some good place to eat we came across this Portuguese restaurant & my aunt wanted to give it a chance & said why not. I'll just start this review by saying that although most of the staff didn't speak French or English me & my family still had a lot of fun & left satisfied from this restaurant. At first we were skeptical but then as we looked at the menu & met a couple of the staff we realize that this is the perfect little place we would like to eat at. I had a Portuguese steak with egg on top with fries alongside Sumol. Now let me tell you it was really good I ate the whole dish in a split. The steak was made perfectly, just how I wanted it to be (medium well) with the perfect amount of pink on the inside & the perfect color on the outside. I wouldn't recommend this place for people that would like some fancy restaurant or some traditional cuisine or in that category but I would recommend it to people that want to just sit in a little corner watch a (the) game have a nice meal while watching it or catch up with some friends, this is the perfect place to do that. Me & my family were really satisfied with how our food turned out & how kind everyone was & how understanding & how hard they tried to understand what we were trying to tell them as we were ordering since we don't speak Portuguese. Going to this restaurant was a great experience & I'm very happy we went there. Thank you.
One of the best bars in Montreal especially if you want to experience Portuguese culture.
Portuguese immersion experience in the middle of Montreal. Thank you for your hospitality.
My mother, sister-in-law, & I were in the mood for coffee after having dinner at a nearby restaurant on a Tuesday. We arrived at the café around 9:30 PM. Three Portuguese patrons occupied seats at the bar while Portuguese news played on the televisions. It was well-lit, & the absence of music was a welcome contrast to our loud dinner. We ordered 3 "café com leite", 3 flans, & 1 pastel de nata at the counter—all for just $24. Domingos, who graciously attended to our order at the counter, was warm & made us feel welcome; we spoke to him in Spanish while he responded in Portuguese. He brought our flans to the table & offered to splash them with Cointreau, to which we happily agreed. Once we were done with our desserts, he kindly treated us to a glass of Porto while we talked about Venezuela (our home country) & the Portuguese diaspora who lived there. It was the perfect ending for our weeknight out. Make sure to bring cash, since it's cash only.
