Je viens de passer un super beau brunch en amoureux avec mon copain on n’a eu la chance de se faire servir par Charles super chaleureux souriant & à prit le temps de répondre à chaque de nos questions. La bouffe excellente l’atmosphère super & la bouffe super bonne. Le restaurant est très propre. Une super ambiance je recommande fortement. Le staff super accueil. Je vous recommande & je reviens sans hésiter. Merci encore Charles de nous avoir donné un excellent service.

Bonjour,
3 personnes ce midi - 3 plats différents, dans l'ensemble bon. Mais 3 accompagnements de frites pas pareils : un avec de belle frites & les 2 autres, frites archicuites. Également, nous avons demandé mayo & ketchup qui ont été apportés dans 2 très petits plats alors que nous étions 3. Service quand même bon. Les plats principaux étaient très bons... leur hamburger savoureux. Je vais y retourner :)
We ordered classic egg Benedict & smoked salmon Benedict.. & it was perfect.
I love the interior & the atmosphere.
Also the service was awesome.. everyone friendly & professional.

Great service from our server (Melissa, I think?) who was very friendly & paid very close attention to detail with our meals. Loved the chicken waffles, benny, & mimosas
We went to this restaurant last weekend. The food was average. Portions are small. There is not a lot of space between you & the next person. We paid 150 for 2 ppl 1 drink & 2 desserts. The service was horrendous. As soon as we walked in, we were told that we only have 2 1/2 hours (instead of 3 which was indicated on the website during the time of the reservation) & that by 8:30 someone reserved our table. At 8 o'clock we had a worker telling us that the people that booked our table are waiting in the lobby. I told her that we have time until 8:30 but she kept insisting that they are waiting in the lobby. So we left. It left a bad taste in our mouth. The following day I wrote an email to the restaurant & got less than a satisfactory answer. They said that opentable (the company they use to do the reservation) can add new reservations during the time of the service so it is "possible" that the time was changed from 8:30 to 8:00. In short, lots of blah blah. So we decided to never go back & give our money to restaurant that respects our business.

A celebration dinner for anniversary & friends from overseas was a disaster. I would leave food rating 1 but service should be in the minus rating if it was available. Our reservation was for 6 people at 8. First we were told inside. Then inside they said no you're in the patio. This should have been our first clue of the shambles we would face. Gavin was a friendly waiter but could not overcome the problems that night. The wine took over 1 hour to arrive. The promise of bread on the way never eventuated. By 9.30 or later when the rain started we were moved inside. Asking about our food elicited many apologies but no food. By 10 we received the oysters & escargots. One of our guests not eating an app was becoming dizzy (low blood sugar/lack of food). She spoke to the manager who spoke again of staff shortages etc. But as a restaurant with a good reputation why would you fill a dining room & open a patio if you have staffing problems? She could not answer. We saw people leave before eating. We heard other tables complain. The owners & management showed no respect for their clientele. Perhaps they assumed tourists are never ending. My guests & myself though will never return nor recommend this restaurant. Apologies mean nothing when poor management & greed is the problem. The main course arrived somewhere around 10.30 a full 2.5 hours since we arrived. 2 plates were refused & returned & I cannot say any meal could be enjoyed when you are tired & angry. While the 2 plates were removed from our bill there was no other compensation on a $435 bill. One of our guests is a general manager at a well known hotel chain trained in food & beverage. He found it unbelievable that nothing was written off as an apology. Staff tried to help & explain etc but they are at the mercy of incompetent management I believe.
Très belle expérience à la Brasserie 701. Excellent menu, super service (un gros merci à Gavin & son professionnalisme exemplaire) & beaucoup de plaisir! Merci beaucoup pour cette belle soirée.
J'ai été à 2 occasions pour le brunch & à chaque fois tout était parfait. Encore plus beau maintenant après les rénovations. & j'adore le menu & l'ambiance du souper. Déjà hâte d'y retourner!

Not your typical "hotel restaurant" 701 is stunning with it's historical allure & delicious craft cocktails. Came for a 5 à 7 & ended up staying for dinner. Menu had options for everyone, presentation is beautiful, & reasonably priced for Old Montreal stabdards! Please, if you go, have a dessert, everything is made my their in house pâtissière.
Je le recommande vraiment pas le service est à désirer plus la nourriture infect j'ai étais vraiment déçu d'avoir choisi ce restaurant pour mon anniversaire je suis arrivé à 22h30 du soir on nous a servi à 12h30 surtout il y avait rien d'agréable durant la soirée seulement la décoration du restaurant mes invités ont payé 100 $ à peu près par personne alors je suis déçu pour le prix & le service j'aurais préféré choisir un petit restaurant je suis sûre que ça aurait été meilleure quand j'avais appelé pour faire une réservation j'avais demander pour 19h30 quelques jours plus tard avant la date de mon anniversaire on m'appelle pour me dire que ma réservation est pour 9h30 on me la imposer on ma nullement laisser le choix c'est vraiment inacceptable & inapproprié alors je le recommande vraiment pas je trouve que c'est l'un des pires restaurant que j'ai été
Fabuleux !!! La portion de tartare était plus que généreuse & vraiment exquis avec son caviar de moutarde. On a apprécié l'ambiance. Les cocktails sont délicieux & il y a un bon choix de vin. Même notre petit bébé de 6 mois a apprécié l'endroit! Service impeccable de la part de Gavin, très gentil, drôle & sociable!
Excellent resto lounge, bien situé. Je dois avouer que je n'ai pas l'habitude de sortir dans ce genre de place ''fancy'' mais j'ai bien aimé l'expérience.
Points forts: Nourriture, ambiance, décor, bar & service.
Points faibles: Peut être un peu dispendieux pour certains (100$ pour moi incluant pourboires pour l' entrée plat principal un dessert & 1 drink(aucun vin!). Toilettes minuscules. Espace restraint lorsque très achalandé.
One of the most upscale lounge places in Montreal with decent prices. The place literally makes you think that you won't be able to handle your bill but for the quality of the place, the bill comes pretty affordable.
We were fortunate to have reserved the room at Place D'Arme,placed next to 701 & combined together, these two places give the best upscale combination ever.
The best combination of an upscale boutique hotel & a resto-bar in town at an affordable price. Other places are simply not enough upscale (Neligan) or too expensive (Saint=James)
