Review Summary

Reviewers describe Boulangerie Ange as a bright, welcoming bakery in downtown Montreal with an extensive selection of buttery croissants, chocolatines, tarts, quiches, breads and even pizzas, and the pastries and coffee are often praised for freshness and quality. Standout items like croissants and almond croissants are frequently highlighted, while some comments mention that sandwiches can be pricey and that a few loaves or pastries have fallen short. Service is generally described as friendly and efficient, though a few visits report slow or inattentive service during busy times. Overall the bakery is viewed as a reliable place for a quick breakfast, coffee, lunch, or a treat to take home, offering a strong French bakery vibe, good value for the quality, and a lively, inviting atmosphere, with some notes on price or consistency that crop up from time to time.

This is my go-to downtown bakery for a quick breakfast, late lunch, grabbing something for a gathering, or just treating myself to a REALLY good dessert. I've tried a bunch of stuff over the past few months, margherita, pepperoni, & vegetarian pizzas, milk bread, chocolatines, croissants, mini donuts, & some desserts that I don't know the names. Cheesecake is one of my favorites here!! They never let me down. The employees are welcoming & nice. My bad I know their faces more than their names, but shout out to Doua!

Boulangerie Ange is my new go-to for bakery bliss. The croissants are ultra-flaky & buttery, the baguettes crackle when you tear them, & the pastries (hello, fruit tarts) taste as good as they look. Loved the sandwiches on freshly baked bread & a smooth coffee to match. The space is bright & welcoming, staff are friendly, & prices feel fair for the quality. Perfect for a quick breakfast, a treat with friends, or grabbing a warm loaf to take home-if it survives the ride!

As inflation is said to be down this November, the price of some bread goes from $5.45 to $6.95!

Absolutely love this spot! Boulangerie Ange at Humaniti on Viger Street is modern, bright, & welcoming, perfect for a quick coffee break or a casual meet-up.

Their selection of breads, viennoiseries, & sandwiches is excellent. You can tell they care about quality ingredients & fresh preparation. The croissants are buttery & flaky, the sourdough is top-notch, & their pizza slices are a surprisingly great lunch option.

Service has always been friendly & efficient, even during the busier morning rush. Plus, it's great to see a bakery maintain high standard while keeping prices reasonable.

Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area or looking for a new favorite bakery downtown!

For fresh bread downtown, this is a safe spot. Pastries are solid & their pizza is decent

Hands down, my favorite bakery in Montreal. I make a point to stop by every time I'm in town-& it never disappoints.

The almond croissants are out of this world: perfectly flaky, rich, & just the right amount of sweetness. Their fresh bread is amazing too, & the quiche makes for the perfect breakfast-light, flavorful, & satisfying.

& let's not forget the coffee-strong, smooth, & a perfect match for anything on the menu.

Incredible quality, cozy atmosphere, & consistently great service. A must-visit if you're in Montreal!

One of the best, if not THE best bakery in downtown Montreal with the best prices.
Authentic croissants & pastries, solid bread & sandwiche options. I go there on a weekly. Highly highly recommend!
