Review Summary

Bloom Sushi is widely praised for its inventive vegan sushi, fresh ingredients, and a chic, cozy atmosphere, with many reviews noting standout items like vegan salmon and bold flavor combinations; the service is often described as friendly and attentive, though a few visits report slower pacing or miscommunications, especially during peak times, and some mention pricing and portioning. Overall, guests consider Bloom Sushi a must-visit for vegan sushi lovers, and frequent returners highlight the variety, presentation, and cocktails as part of the appeal.

My experience at this plant-based sushi spot was a mixed bag. Having tried other vegan sushi restaurants in Montreal, my expectations were high, but unfortunately, this place fell short. The sushi seemed to linger on the kitchen bar for too long, arriving at our table dry & hard to chew.

The Mr. Miyagi & spicy crab crispy rice cake were a letdown, with an overwhelming saltiness that made it impossible for my partner & me to swallow. The two futomaki rolls we ordered were equally disappointing in taste & presentation.

On a brighter note, the Inari crispy rice & gyoza were the saving grace of our meal. These dishes stood out as flavorful & satisfying. Drinks were good.
