Review Summary

Reviews consistently praise Bloom Sushi for inventive vegan sushi, with fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and beautiful presentation that often impresses even non vegans. The service and atmosphere are repeatedly highlighted as warm and attentive in a stylish setting. The menu is creative and diverse, with standout items like miso soup, gyoza, arancini, and a tasting option that showcases the kitchen’s creativity. While busy nights can bring longer waits or occasional mixups, most diners feel the quality justifies the visit and keep coming back. Reservations are wise, and Bloom Sushi is regarded as a standout in Montreal for vegan sushi, offering artistic plates, reliable hospitality, and a memorable plant based dining experience.

My experience at this plant-based sushi spot was a mixed bag. Having tried other vegan sushi restaurants in Montreal, my expectations were high, but unfortunately, this place fell short. The sushi seemed to linger on the kitchen bar for too long, arriving at our table dry & hard to chew.

The Mr. Miyagi & spicy crab crispy rice cake were a letdown, with an overwhelming saltiness that made it impossible for my partner & me to swallow. The two futomaki rolls we ordered were equally disappointing in taste & presentation.

On a brighter note, the Inari crispy rice & gyoza were the saving grace of our meal. These dishes stood out as flavorful & satisfying. Drinks were good.
