Bloom Sushi operates as a dedicated plant-based establishment focusing on the artistic reinterpretation of traditional sushi craft. The kitchen utilizes high-quality vegetables, fungi, and specialized plant proteins to replicate textures typically found in seafood-based nigiri and maki. Each dish features house-made sauces and fresh garnishes to build complex profiles without the use of animal products. The menu emphasizes seasonal ingredients that reflect current agricultural availability while maintaining a consistent aesthetic presentation for every plate served. By prioritizing sustainable sourcing and creative culinary techniques, the establishment maintains a distinct identity within the competitive sushi market. Guests encounter a curated selection of rolls that balance savory, sweet, and umami notes through precise preparation methods. This approach ensures that every menu item highlights the potential of entirely vegan ingredients in sophisticated Japanese-inspired preparations.
Bloom Sushi is widely celebrated for its creative, high-quality, and visually stunning plant-based menu that consistently impresses both vegan and non-vegan diners alike. Many visitors highlight the flavorful, fresh ingredients and unique combinations that make the experience memorable, often noting that the food quality rivals or exceeds that of traditional sushi establishments. The restaurant offers a warm, stylish, and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for dates or group gatherings. While service is frequently described as professional, welcoming, and attentive, the overall positive reception confirms that this destination is a favorite for those seeking an unforgettable and innovative Japanese-inspired dining experience in Montreal.
Bloom Sushi completely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant has a calm, stylish atmosphere, & the view over the lively streets of downtown Montreal adds something special to the experience. Every dish looked like a work of art, but the flavors were even better.
The menu is inspired by Japanese cuisine & proves that vegan or plant-based sushi can be just as exciting as traditional sushi. The crispy rice, dragon roll, & truffle mushroom creations were the highlights of my meal-fresh, creative, & full of flavor.
The staff were welcoming, attentive, & happy to explain the menu. From the presentation to the ambiance, everything felt thoughtfully put together. Bloom Sushi is a place I'll happily return to & recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable Japanese-inspired dining experience.
I wish the food can be a bit simpler than it is now. Way too fancy, too many things in one roll, can't really tell the difference. Fancy name … gets too complicated for simply just want to enjoy the meal.
I never thought I'd enjoy sushi until I found this place! 🫶🏻 I couldn't imagine vegan sushi could be this delicious. I've tried almost everything on the menu, & my favorites are the New Delhi roll & the mango-flavoured sushi. The only downside is that parking in the area can be a bit challenging. They also have a beautiful patio, which is a great spot to enjoy your meal.

Had a delivery order. Man, this was the worst sushi I have ever tried.
Shima bundle order came without miso soup, no wasabi, no soy sauce, edamame was overboiled, gyoza by smell seems was made yesterday. But there was an excessive amount of mayo spread all over the rolls. Guys, do you even taste what you cook, it should be illegal to make sushi like this ;) Horrible taste, & waste of money.
For an Omnivore I came here without knowing it's vegan, & thought... Well.. I'm already here so...'when in Rome'. It did not disappoint, we googled what non-vegans liked about this place & ordered 3 rolls that had konjac'salmon' & they were delicious!! Cocktails were also amazing.. Definitely coming back!
Vegan sushi is a hard thing to pull off but bloom does it with ease. If you get the service menu, you will leave happy, full, & satisfied.
I know this is something people always say but i genuinely did not taste the difference when they had mock salmon rolls. I also loved the fried dumplings & soup. Fresh ingredients & unique flavours.
It doesn't get too crowded but I would still recommend a reservation. The restaurant is also very well decored & the tone is so warm & inviting.
Delicious vegan sushi! The ingredients were really fresh & the rolls were creative & the flavours meshed really well together. They also make great cocktails. Overall a great experience!
blossom was so good. nasu was good too. the others that we tried didnt rly hit the mark for us (mr crunch, rock & roll spicy, new delhi, crispy avocado)
