Bloom Sushi completely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant has a calm, stylish atmosphere, & the view over the lively streets of downtown Montreal adds something special to the experience. Every dish looked like a work of art, but the flavors were even better.
The menu is inspired by Japanese cuisine & proves that vegan or plant-based sushi can be just as exciting as traditional sushi. The crispy rice, dragon roll, & truffle mushroom creations were the highlights of my meal-fresh, creative, & full of flavor.
The staff were welcoming, attentive, & happy to explain the menu. From the presentation to the ambiance, everything felt thoughtfully put together. Bloom Sushi is a place I'll happily return to & recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable Japanese-inspired dining experience.
We got incredibly lucky & managed to get a table without a reservation on one of the busiest nights of the year as Angine de Poitrine were playing at the Jazz Fest. Despite the crowd, the entire experience was outstanding.
The staff were exceptionally attentive & welcoming, making us feel taken care of from the moment we arrived. Instead of overthinking the menu, we asked our server to recommend a selection of sushi & it was the best decision we could have made. Every piece was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared.
From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. If you're thinking about going, don't hesitate, just go for it & thank me later.

Food was quite good, very well presented. Flavor was not anything special or unique, perhaps overdone. But we loved the atmosphere. Beer selection is limited, & their house offering is a poor one. Service wasn't very attentive but maybe that's because it was a busy night.

Second time visiting & still absolutely amazing. We tried maybe 6 different rolls & all were delicious & distinct. I love how it has flavors of sushi, even with most rolls not using'fake' fish. The Inari fried rice appetizer was also amazing. Inari had such a light delicious flavor. Our favorite roll was Mr. Crunch but we enjoyed all. The mushrooms were prepared so tenderly & favorfully in all of the rolls with mushrooms. I also got a mocktail of the Omu plum & ginger drink - so light, just a bit sour & just a hint sweet. It was beautiful & refreshing. The atmosphere is relaxed & chic, & the service is impeccable. Highly recommend & can't wait to visit for a third time!
Yummy, creative vegan sushi. I couldn't choose, so I ordered omakase. The miso soup was good with umami flavor. The crispy gyoza were a little plain tasting (I wouldn't order again). The sushi was delicious. Good textures & flavors. The vegan salmon was eerily good with the right color & marbling & texture as real salmon. The staff were friendly & attentive. Dinner was a splurge but it's worth it.
My second visit to Sushi Bloom, & once again, I am utterly impressed. We opted for the'omakase' & were treated to an extraordinary dining experience. The miso soup was simply exquisite-rich in flavor & perfectly balanced. The gyozas were a delightful combination of crispiness & tenderness. & the sushi-each piece was a masterpiece, crafted with impeccable care & precision.
