Downtown Montreal is home to a brand new occupant, and we’re here to have a good time. A social lounge, an artisan bar and a modern bistro, Bivouac provides an urban and boreal gastronomic experience to all who pass through its doors.

Here, the objective is simple: to introduce guests to a whole new world of tastes and sensations. Taking advantage of the best that the Quebec region and its artisans have to offer.

Bivouac is where guests can get away from the chaos of city life to explore, share and enjoy the quintessence of our nature, all during a meal.

Located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on the 6th floor of Complexe Desjardins.
In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.

Bien situé (vue sur l'esplanade de la PdA), belle ambiance, pas trop bruyant (achalandage modéré pour un mardi soir), excellent service, plats variés bien pensés, à partir d'ingrédients du terroir, belles présentations, bon goût.

La nourriture est bonne. Le cadre magnifique. Les serveurs très empressés & dévoués mais visiblement pas entrainés dans les règles de l'art. La carte des vins a besoin d'amélioration & le chef devrait s'abstenir d'essayer de réinventer le baba au rhum & surtout éviter de parler de champignons sauvages quand ils ne le sont pas.

Mais de grâce baissez le volume de la musique. On ne peut pas s'entendre. Qui plus est la sélection est rudimentaire & trop mélangée. Il existe des cies qui peuvent faire un bien meilleur travail. Faut choisir une ambiance & pas jouer n'importe quoi. Mismatch complet avec la clientèle.

Food, drinks & atmosphere were amazing!!

My only complaint is the slow service with our original waitress. Not only was she not wearing a mask, she did not complete our service.

Thankfully, another waiter jumped in 'saved the night'. He was kind, professional & provided exceptional service despite his workload.
