About us

Downtown Montreal is home to a brand new occupant, and we’re here to have a good time. A social lounge, an artisan bar and a modern bistro, Bivouac provides an urban and boreal gastronomic experience to all who pass through its doors.

Here, the objective is simple: to introduce guests to a whole new world of tastes and sensations. Taking advantage of the best that the Quebec region and its artisans have to offer.

Bivouac is where guests can get away from the chaos of city life to explore, share and enjoy the quintessence of our nature, all during a meal.

Located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on the 6th floor of Complexe Desjardins.
In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.

Food, establishment, drinks were amazing. Service was awful. Condescending attitudes towards girls with allergies & diet restrictions. Short tempered waiter who was very improper & seemed to lack basic manners & training. Very uncomfortable experience.

I was very impressed by the service (especially in this day & age). We needed to be in & out in an hour (because we had a show) & the waiter made this happen & very comfortably I might add, without our ever feeling rushed. Impressive! We'll be back!!!
