Vendredi 17 avril nous arrivons a ce resto . L'accueil était bien on nous place table de 2 section bar & il est 19:hr 05 a 19:30 nous nous sommes levé & quitter. Personne n'est venu nous voir … pas de menu ni verre d'eau & surtout aucun bonjour pour nous dire je serai avec vous dans un petit moment .
Good experience with food & service. However the noise level is too high. It was sometimes difficult to hear my friends speaking from across the table.

We arrived at the restaurant & were seated.we were brought water & ordered a soda from the lady at the bar who also serves the table. The actually waitress kept serving & soaking to the customers around us & never acknowledged us one time. She didn't ask if we were ready to order, she didn't introduce herself. Finally I said hello to her & she rolled her eyes, I said is anyone serving this table. Do you want to order, is aid obviously our menus have been turned over for 25 minutes & no one as greeted us. They simply ignored us. This is racism. Disgusting behaviour.
Usually love Bâton Rouge Laval; tonight Friday April 17th 1926 at four had a very unpleasant barmaid before going to the reserved supper in dining area. Cannot believe this person works in such a high class restaurant. No manners, unpleasant & very harsh. My first & last time in the bar area. Again, the service & food was great in the dining area as usual. First time I don't give five stars. **Internet site states all BR restos have happy hours from 3 to six including signature drinks. Reception stated 5-7 & when they went to inform, were told 4-7. Already a confusion but the barmaid stated only beer (excluding bottled), wine & regular drinks such as rum & coke etc were part of happy hour. No argument on our part at all but the way she stated it so rude, harsh & no smile whatsoever. I still left her a tip out of courtesy but my friend did not. If you don't like your job, why work there !
Delicious meals, tried new braised beef with mashed potatoes & brussel sprouts, tender & favourful. Service was great, wine suggestion was successful! It was a relatively quiet night for a Thursday, hockey game on giant tv screens in bar area was fun.
Great place, I enjoy this restaurant several times annually.
Summary: Today, the volume is too loud.
April 09, 2026, I was very happy the HABS game was on the screens, & the impressive sound system was playing the sound of the game.
It's a moderate-size bar, & most of the guests are couples; most appeared interested in the game, as I was.
Yet, the volume during the game is definitely on the high-end of acceptable, & the volume of commercials is +20%, pushing the volume to ridiculous levels.
Now, the 3rd period is starting, only about 12 people remaining in the bar, yet the volume remains as loud as when it had many more occupants.
I like loud volume, yet this level is unnecessary & for me, it's too loud.
Our server was outstanding ,very patient ,very classy & polite I can't remember his name but all I know he is Greek 😂 top notch service ! The food was excellent & big portions ! U should all come try it.

Accueil bien réussie, par une belle équipe d'hôtesse bien efficaces. Un excellent service par une belle équipe de serveurs & & serveuses travaillant en collégialité. Un gérant qui veille bien sur sa belle équipe (Nick). Que vous soyez au bar accueilli par la charmante Annie , ou ailleurs en salle à manger, votre repas sera une réussite !

On Saturday March 17th we had an underwhelming experience at the Carrefour Laval location from our arrival to our departure. We had a reservation for 8 people at 18:00. When the two of us arrived we were brought to the wrong area of the restaurant where under large group were seating & with no seats available. We had to search the restaurant to find out the others of our group. Then we had to wait so long to get someone to come & serve us. We ordered our drinks & appetizers & waited a long time for them. In fact, we had to direct the server helpers to our table with the drinks & appetizers as they were trying to guess who ordered what at our table versus other tables nearby. The drinks & appetizers were fine however. Then we waited much longer to get our main plates. The same thing happened whereby the server helpers had no ideas you ordered what at our table versus other tables nearby. The food quality was really not what we had experienced with Baton Rouge previously, not to mentioned the temperature which was lukewarm at best. I have always had a good experience at Baton Rouge, this location & many others, but that night it wasn't a good one. Baton Rouge, you can do much better than that.
We went for my husband's birthday.I chose Baton Rouge for there onion soup, which I could not wait to have.Broth was very tasty but EXTREMELY salty which we could not eat.On to the main meal.The chicken tenders were melt in your mouth & the mashed potatoes were amazing.Service.was excellent , even though we must have had about 6 different ones.Cannot.wait.ro go back.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation expecting a basic level of organization & respect for customers' time, but instead I was left waiting 45 minutes past my reservation with no real explanation.
What made it worse was the attitude of the staff. Not only did they fail to acknowledge the inconvenience, but they were also rude & dismissive when I asked about my table. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right, & not even a small gesture while we waited.
The whole situation felt very disorganized & driven by greed, as it seemed clear they were prioritizing squeezing in as many customers as possible rather than honoring reservations they had already accepted.
If you're going to take reservations, you should respect them. Unfortunately, this place showed very little respect for their customers' time or experience. I won't be returning
