On Saturday March 17th we had an underwhelming experience at the Carrefour Laval location from our arrival to our departure. We had a reservation for 8 people at 18:00. When the two of us arrived we were brought to the wrong area of the restaurant where under large group were seating & with no seats available. We had to search the restaurant to find out the others of our group. Then we had to wait so long to get someone to come & serve us. We ordered our drinks & appetizers & waited a long time for them. In fact, we had to direct the server helpers to our table with the drinks & appetizers as they were trying to guess who ordered what at our table versus other tables nearby. The drinks & appetizers were fine however. Then we waited much longer to get our main plates. The same thing happened whereby the server helpers had no ideas you ordered what at our table versus other tables nearby. The food quality was really not what we had experienced with Baton Rouge previously, not to mentioned the temperature which was lukewarm at best. I have always had a good experience at Baton Rouge, this location & many others, but that night it wasn't a good one. Baton Rouge, you can do much better than that.
We went for a birthday with a large group. The bus girl spilled someone's beer all over my husband chair & jacket. Excused herself but that's it. They gave someone their beer in a hot glass. We got the surf & turf plater the lobster was a little under cooked, garlic butter had no garlic in it was just oil. Now I don't expect much mistake happen all good but after dropping a drink on someone & we had a bill over 300$ plus all the others with us I expect at least a free appetizer or cover my dry cleaning bill.
Baton Rouge in Laval offers good food at a balanced price-not too high, not too low. The restaurant has a very nice design, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, on weekends, it gets extremely busy, which affects the service quality. If you're looking for a relaxed dining experience, visiting during off-peak hours might be a better choice.
They also have a selection of alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, wines, & beers, to complement your meal.
On Saturday evening I went out with my family for my birthday. The waitress was really nice she took our order. My husband asked for the double cheeseburger with no sauce & vegetables on the side. When we got our order my fries were double fried really hard & my husband's cheeseburger had sauce inside & his bun was wet & soggy. He told the waitress he asked for no sauce & she took it back to the kitchen & told the cook. It literally took 2 minutes & his burger was ready. He noticed that it was his same burger because he had bit into the first time. He opened up his burger & saw the same piece of bun stuck to the burger. The cook opened up his burger & scraped out the sauce & reassembled it back with a new bun that wasn't even toasted. He was so mad he asked for the waitress & manager. He explained that it was disgusting for a cook/restaurant to reserve a burger back to a client that had been bitten from & was cold. Imagine someone ordered a filet mignon & they got the order wrong would they try to pass it on to someone else? The manager understood & tried to make it right by offering a new burger but by that time he didn't want to eat it anymore. He offered drinks & desserts, but it ruined the whole experience already. My wife's birthday supper was ruined. Would we go back? NO! The experience was horrible & the restaurant was not even busy that evening.
We visited for a weekday lunch with a group of five & were seated quickly. The staff was very warm & attentive. However, the food didn't quite match the quality of the service. We began with their soup of the day, which was excessively salty, almost like drinking soy sauce directly; I ended up just eating a few of the tomatoes from the soup. On a brighter note, the platter was an improvement over the soup. The grilled shrimp was decent, & the lobster was quite tasty.

Unfortunately a lot of mistakes were made, the drinks we ordered were awesome but glasses were not clean you were able to see dome type sticky left over food residue, then our entree never arrived, & for the main plate I received the wrong order, the service was awesome our waitress took care of everything
Im sad to rate this place at this level, they have nice quality tasty food & menu, delicious drinks but the service is horrible & the worst one is the management. ***** update ***** Impressive client satisfaction follow up, After rating this place very low due to the service i received on January 20, i was contacted directly by the client satisfaction team, & after escalating my issue to the boisbriand branch manager, i was directly contacted by Patrick the branch manager & he immediately prioritized my case to fix this incident, we understand incidents happens but dealing after it is where it shows the empathy & the professionalism of the management people. Very impressed with the fast response the welcome & the hospitality Patrick showed. Thank you Baton Rouge for the amazing menu, delicious food & especially your consistency on keeping your brand unique. After all this been said, & after this impressive experience with baton rouge you are left with no choice by re-rating accordingly.
service MÉDIOCRE, le seule bon service est venu du gérant & du collègue de la serveuse, la serveuse semblait absolument inexpérimentée a renverser mon drink sur la table a laisser la table sale, un drink a 14$ il y a fallu que je le retourne car il manquait le rim , 15 minutes pour avoir de l’eau, le repas etait bon mais la serveuse nous a pas amener de napkin, ou d’assiette pour mettre nos carcasses/os, aucune épice sur les frites, tres habituer des batons rouges EXTRÊMEMENT dessus de celui-ci, manquait du fromage dans le burger de la personne avec moi, nous avons du demander pour tous, décevant
The place looks amazing but sadly the food was mediocre at best. Got the seafood platter with a dry salmon, undercooked lobster tail & overcooked shrimp. The drinks were fun & tasty.
The waiter was polite & friendly but the long wait for the food sadly didn't help.

Went to BR in Laval for business lunch on Tuesday November 1st. Was quiet & seated quickly in a booth. We were 3 people. In a couple of minutes after being seated we were greeted by our waitress who was cheerful & asked us if we wanted a drink so we ordered Caesars. They were delicious & quickly drank lol. After that we decided on some appetizers so we tried the fried shrimp in general tao sauce - OMG so delicious & good portion plate for the value too! As mains we ordered the BR burger with fries; the spicy burger with sweet potato fries(found burger to be on dry side); & bavet de boeuf with chimichurri & veggies only. Everything was delicious but the person who got the bavet was surprised how small the steak was - half a palm of your hand! He was still hungry after eating his meal lol Anyways we had coffee only no dessert as we were in a rush. Overall the service was amazing & on par - always around & refilling our soft drinks as they were free refills too which is nice offering. Food was good too!. Would definitely return for the shrimps!
quality & quantity of food 5 pnts! ,services 3 pnts ,understaffed for amount of patrons causing to forget orders on drinks, 2 pnts would have appreciated a table with chairs, instead of the booth. (i am quite big & was forced to sit out over edge of bench! whole night)
