Always like going to BR in Laval. We enjoy the tables by the windows in the bar area. Servers are always pleasant & food is served hot & fresh.
Yesterday I had the Rib Steak med/rare with fries & vegetables.
To drink I had a Bloody Caesar. Even has beef jerky & an olive!
My wife had the grilled salmon with rice & vegetables which was very tasty. (Sorry no picture).
We seem to come regularly to this location because of the good food & staff.
We had a wonderful experience at Baton Rouge! The food was delicious, the portions were generous, & everything was cooked perfectly. The service was friendly, attentive, & made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. We will definitely be coming back & highly recommend it!

It was a quiet evening, Wednesday 17th 2026. The restaurant was half empty. My son had just done his play in school & we wanted to go out for a small celebration as a family. This turned out to be a very disappointing evening.
My wife & I ordered a salad & the kids ordered on the kids a BBQ chicken breast on the kids menu. I specifically asked for the fries to be hot & crispy. We waited 45 minutes to receive our food on an evening where the restaurant was half empty !
First they came out with the kids dishes. The fries had been on the dish for so long that they literally collapsed & were lukewarm warm, soggy & totally disgusting. Not to mention that they bring a mountain full of fries with about a 2 oz piece of chicken for the kids.. Very unappetizing dish. I immediately told the server that the kids fries were awful & he took their dishes away to put new fries & took about 5 minutes so now the chicken is cold ! I guess it's hard to bring them some fries so they can start eating their chicken immediately.
I ordered the chicken filet salad. Mine arrived cold & soggy & humid. These were absolutely uneatable ! It's like everything had been done for about 10 minutes & were just left there & were forgotten. When you took it in your hand the coating just pealed off with your hand. Even the server saw that this was a horrible dish. He apologized & went to speak to the manager. He came back & said we can redo your dish & we can offer you a dessert & a coffee to compensate. This was absolutely insulting, making us wait 45 minutes for 4 simple dishes, letting them sit there while everything became cold & soggy & them offering dessert & a coffee to compensate for meals that were uneatable. Our evening out with the kids was ruined.
After wasting our time that evening & making the kids wait all this time for a horrible meal, we got up & left this restaurant.
THIS WAS A VERY BAD DINING EXPERIENCE !
UPDATE : COMPANY THAT REPLIES WITH AUTOMATED MESSAGES ! This company does NOT care about customer service or quality. You have all the information you need & requested in my review yet you want me to send it to your email. Cut the BS ! Easy to see why your once very busy restaurant has suddenly become so quiet ! Price went up & everything else came down !
Amazing service paired with warm hospitality & good food made for a wonderful night with friends. Emily & the host team were very welcoming when we arrived. From there, Maria provided exceptional service. She was great with drinks, wine, food, & fun conversation! Truly great service which is increasingly tough to find. The owner (Nick) came by to say hi. We enjoyed the spinach dip, a baked feta pastry, lobster rolls, the new seafood boil, & the legendary ribs. All paired with excellent wine. Looking forward to the next visit!
Good experience with food & service. However the noise level is too high. It was sometimes difficult to hear my friends speaking from across the table.
Usually love Bâton Rouge Laval; tonight Friday April 17th 1926 at four had a very unpleasant barmaid before going to the reserved supper in dining area. Cannot believe this person works in such a high class restaurant. No manners, unpleasant & very harsh. My first & last time in the bar area. Again, the service & food was great in the dining area as usual. First time I don't give five stars. **Internet site states all BR restos have happy hours from 3 to six including signature drinks. Reception stated 5-7 & when they went to inform, were told 4-7. Already a confusion but the barmaid stated only beer (excluding bottled), wine & regular drinks such as rum & coke etc were part of happy hour. No argument on our part at all but the way she stated it so rude, harsh & no smile whatsoever. I still left her a tip out of courtesy but my friend did not. If you don't like your job, why work there !
