I suggest you call ahead & reserve to avoid waiting at the door. Food is delicious. We enjoy the spinach dip (usually enough for our group of 2 adults, 2 teenagers & 3 kids), & the ribs remain a staple of this franchise, one they deliver consistently. Baton Rouge is a bit pricier than average, but the food is always good & the service is excellent. Definitely recommend!
We went on a Sunday. We were a group of 12. Service was beyond slow. Waitress dropped the box with the bday cake in it. She forgot to bring drinks that were ordered. Food took over 90 mins from the time we ordered until we got our food. Will not be returning.
A chaque occasion, on est reçu en français & une fois assis, on se rend compte qu'on nous laisse des menus en anglais. Les 4 ou 5 dernières fois. Faites vous exprès ?
I had dinner & ordered a bavette med & got it rate. Returned it & came back the same way. They need to learn their cooking temperatures, & the size of bavette needs to be bigger for the price they charge.
Really disappointed in my experience here! I've been at this Baton Rouge multiple times without a problem but I'm unimpressed with the new management. My steak was cold & the waiter offered to fix the problem which I appreciated. Then the manager (I assume) came back with the exact same plate (It had a piece that I had cut missing) & it was just as cold as before if not colder. I told him this is the same steak & it's still cold to which he replied that if i requested it cooked medium "it's not going to be steaming." I found this to be very condescending & rude, of course I know it won't be steaming but I rather not eat a steak that's been sitting out for 30 minutes... Anywho besides the manager & the cold steak my waiter was very nice & handled the situation appropriately!! The rest of the food was delicious I just wish the manager was more polite & apologetic :
Went today for the first time in a while, & noticed prices are higher & how small they portions are now. A plate of rib & fries used to be a full plate & now it covered maybe half of the plate. The food itself was good. They also started charging extra for things that were always included.
It was just over priced with bad tasting food. I got a pasta that was way too salty & my boyfriend got over cooked salmon. Neither of us finished our food. The waiters are just hanging out at the bar just talking & took them 30mins to take our order Food also took another 30-45mins to arrive only for it to be bad tasting. The restaurant was empty on a Thursday night. Don't waste your money in here it's not even good to eat.
The service was great but I have to say this is probably the 1st time that the food just wasn't up to par. We had lobster pasta (mulfada, i think it was called). It was just warm, should've been hot when served. Not very tasty. We definitely needed parm cheese & pepper. We had shared cheesecake for dessert. That was delicious but was pretty disappointed with the lobster pasta. Definite lack of flavor. Sorry.
It had been awhile since we had been here. Our service was great. But the portion of food has been cut in half, & the price has doubled. I guess that is why the restaurant was half empty on a Friday night. If this was a favorite of yours I suggest you go ASAP as it probably wont be around much longer.
