Bâton Rouge St-Jean is absolutely outstanding. The staff is epic specially Charlie!!!, on point, & genuinely delivers top-shelf service from the moment you walk in. Everyone is professional, attentive, & makes you feel like a valued guest the entire time.
& the roast beef - wow. Easily some of the best I've had anywhere. In my opinion, this is the best place to eat roast beef in Montreal. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, tender, & served exactly the way it should be.
If you want amazing service, a great atmosphere, & unforgettable roast beef, Bâton Rouge St-Jean is the place to go. Highly recommended.
Bâton Rouge is the perfect place for a delicious & satisfying meal. Their ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, steaks are cooked to perfection, & every dish is full of flavor. Portions are generous, & the sides are fresh & tasty. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, ideal for both casual dinners & special occasions. The staff is friendly, attentive, & makes sure you have everything you need. Consistently great food & excellent service - a restaurant you'll want to come back to again & again!

Took long to get served after seating, weren't given water. Grilled octopus was great highly recommend, but chicken tenders were 90% breading. Crème brûlée was straight out of the fridge cold while charcoal burnt on top... for the same price go elsewhere & get better quality
I love this restaurant so much. All the food is really great. I always get the chicken tenders, they are my favourite. The service is always amazing & the atmosphere is just the best.
Just had my birthday dinner tonight. I started with the Calamari which was excellent, then had the chicken Tenders & ribs combo. My chicken Tenders were very good, but my ribs were excellent. I was a little disappointed with my sides of baked beans & parmesan truffle fries. Our service was excellent. Very courteous & quick, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. I wish I could remember our waiters name. He was excellent.
Me & my spouse both enjoyed the food. It tasted delicious & meat was very tender, cooked perfectly. The only thing that we noticed that some of the servers who spoke to us seemed shy & voices were almost hard to hear. All in all satisfied & recommends. 😊

Food took a very long time to come, Chicken tenders were small & dry, not the usual moist chicken tender with fluffy coated batter. Purchased an online $100 gift card promotion with in-store scratch card, but scratch card was not honored.
I have tried other Baton Rouge locations which service or food was soso
but! this location their ribs was much much tender & juicier! Loved it! My sister-in-law took a past dish with beef & seafood & it was incredibly delicious.
Our waiter i think his name is Tristan? he was extremely kind & funny. Very good service!

I ordered the chicken tender salad. All the ingredients were saturated in salad dressing & the chicken tenders were quite soggy, not crunchy! Will not have again.
Thé chicken tenders on my salad were not hot, nor crisp. Disappointed but was very hungry & ate anyways. My husband ordered the Santa Fe chicken & his was dry. Everyone who ordered ribs & salmon were pleased with their meals. I hadn't been to your restaurant since pre pandemic- & sadly will not go back.
Was disappointed because I wanted the grill master tower that I saw on the web page, only to find out they no longer carry it on the menu. Therefore ordered the ribs. They were very tender & tasty but needless to say not what I wanted.
What a great experience we had at baton rouge! Our waiter Daniel was a superstar, probably the most interesting & devoted waiter I've ever seen. The food was delish, we had Santa Fe chicken & chicken tenders. Daniel made me a special cappuccino.... It's so nice to see ppl who take pride in their work. I had asked in my reservation for a quieter private table & that's exactly what we got! Fantastic night, great time.

I ordered the PICANHA STEAK 8 OZ. the menu said "Grilled picanha steak seasoned with our signature spice blend. Served with seasonal vegetables"
My complaint.. The steak had so much connective tissue & so was very hard to cut let alone eat that I left almost half (after trying to eat & then not being able to swallow). It was definitely not tender as noted below in the menu. I was not expecting a filet mignon but even something like a flank steak would have been more edible.. The vegetables were not cooked enough. I like my vegetables somewhat hard but this was almost raw.. I was honest with the server. I usually shut my mouth but this time I couldn't. When our bill arrived I expected to have a discount since 1/2 of the steak was not consumed & I had left all my veggies. I did eat 1/2 of the potatoes. I was charge full price. I then asked if I should get a discount. the server checked but was only able to give 15%.. So so disappointing...
One of my favourite restaurants. Service is always personable, discreet & efficient. Their menu choices are well thought out & varied. I've yet to have a poor dining experience. Steaks arrive perfectly cooked & are super tender. The seafood is fresh & tasty. . I highly recommend Baton Rouge West Island.
My husband & I were looking for a nice place to dine last Sunday. Having been to the BR a few years ago & remembering how enjoyable it had been, I suggested it to him.
The filet mignon was well done to our liking & very tender. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious. The only thing deceiving were the vegetables which could've been cooked a little longer. The service was very good & the waiters were friendly.
All in all, it was a delightful dining experience for us & we will certainly put it on our list of dining places.
I went to Baton Rouge in D.D.O on Sunday. To my surprise it was busier than I thought it would be but still not as busy as Friday or Saturday. The cocktails we ordered were very good. We had a very nice waitress who was personable & funny. The food was disappointing & was not very good. We ordered ribs & the chicken tender platter which are what BR is know for so Definitely sub par to standard. Even the presentation of the food was sloppy. However the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake was so yummy.
