Well trained professional staff serving perfectly executed dishes. Ryan was serving us in the bar section & that guy is a machine! He effortlessly handled the bar & the tables (with some assistance from the runners as well of course).
It’s always the same order for me & it’s always perfect. Consistent throughout the times. Except the prices, like everywhere else they’ve gone up! Ouch.
We have always promoted the St. John's blvd Baton Rouge as the best in food & service. But we were disappointed by the service, especially when my aunt who is going through cancer treatments & has to be so careful with the germs around her, was given a dirty coffee mug.
The food was delicious, but what made the evening extra special was the friendly conversations we had with the waiters. They were all funny & made our overall experience even more special.

However, the chips that were served with the spinach dip tasted bitter. & we're very oily.
I believe the oil needed to be changed, because the chips were not burnt, but tasted bitter!
Normally we enjoy this appetizer, but not yesterday.
I ordered the chicken tender salad. All the ingredients were saturated in salad dressing & the chicken tenders were quite soggy, not crunchy! Will not have again.
The waiter was excellent in providing courteous, friendly & efficient service. Totally professional & a pleasure to deal with. We had a very enjoyable dinner experience.
Stefano was our waiter & made my kids feel comfortable & enthusiastic. Patrick (manager in charge) is a great guy aswell & friendly. Been going there regularly every month for the past 14 years & service just gets better. Bring the steaks & the potato soup back please!
I spent years going to BR almost weekly. Post-pandemic, the quality of the food, menu offerings, & portions has dropped considerably. Hope you guys recover some of the quality experience you had before.
