While visiting my cousin in Montreal, we decided to have dinner at 40 Westt Steakhouse, & once again, this place reminded me why it's considered one of the top steakhouses in the city.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear how popular this restaurant is. Even though we had a reservation, the restaurant was extremely busy & we ended up waiting about 15 minutes for our table. That said, the wait didn't feel like an inconvenience at all. The staff greeted us with big, genuine smiles, apologized for the short delay, & immediately offered us drinks while we waited, which made the experience start on a very positive note.
Once seated, the service was absolutely top notch. I believe our waiter's name was Sam, & he truly made the evening even more enjoyable. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, & attentive without being intrusive. Everything flowed perfectly throughout the night thanks to him.
The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse-warm, elegant, lively, & very inviting. Despite how busy it was, the restaurant felt very clean, well-organized, & professionally run.
For appetizers, we went all out & ordered a variety of dishes:
Tuna tartare
Salmon tartare
Calamari
Beef carpaccio
40 Westt salad
Scallops
Every dish was beautifully presented & full of flavor. The tartares were fresh & perfectly seasoned, the calamari was crispy & light, & the beef carpaccio was delicate & melt-in-your-mouth. The 40 Westt salad was refreshing & well-balanced.
The real surprise for me was the scallops. It was my first time trying scallops, & all I can say is wow. They were absolutely delicious-perfectly cooked, tender, & packed with flavor.
For the main course, I opted for the New York Strip, & it did not disappoint. The steak was juicy, flavorful, & cooked perfectly, with an excellent sear. My wife ordered the same & loved it just as much. My cousin went with the Delmonico, & he said it was perfectly cooked & incredibly delicious.
We finished the night with dessert & all chose the soufflé, which was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal-light, rich, & absolutely amazing.
I've always enjoyed dining at 40 Westt, & this visit was no exception. I did notice that prices have gone up quite a bit, but considering the quality of the food, the top-notch service, & the overall experience, it's absolutely worth it.

I attended a friend's party at 40 Westt Steakhouse a few weeks ago & had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was warm & inviting, perfect for a celebration. I ordered the New York strip, & it was absolutely delicious-cooked perfectly & full of flavour.

What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Our server, Tayler, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, & went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our group.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this visit was memorable enough that I felt it deserved recognition. Highly recommend for a night out, a special occasion, or just a great meal with fantastic service!

Review for Rashid at 40Westt Restaurant I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Rashid during my recent visit to 40Westt Restaurant, & I must say, his service was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we were seated, Rashid exuded professionalism, warmth, & genuine care for our dining experience. His attention to detail was impeccable. He made sure every aspect of our meal was perfect, from recommending dishes tailored to our tastes to ensuring our glasses were never empty. Rashid's knowledge of the menu was impressive-he guided us through the options with enthusiasm & provided thoughtful suggestions that turned out to be spot-on. What truly set Rashid apart was his friendly demeanor & ability to make us feel valued. He was attentive without being intrusive, engaging in pleasant conversation while still respecting our privacy. Even during a busy evening, he handled everything with grace & a smile, making it clear that he takes pride in his work. Rashid is a shining example of what exceptional customer service should be. He added a personal touch to our meal & made the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend asking for Rashid if you're dining at 40Westt-you won't be disappointed! Outstanding steakhouse in Canada. We took a business partner for a nice dinner, everything will stop notch. I would recommend ordering steaks on the rare side, as mediums came out close to well done.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at 40 Westt Steakhouse in Montreal, & it was hands down the best restaurant experience I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, the stunning decor took our breath away-the ambiance is both elegant & welcoming. The food? Absolutely amazing. Every bite was bursting with flavor, & the presentation was impeccable. The drinks were equally outstanding, crafted with precision & care, making each sip a delight. What truly made the night unforgettable was the exceptional service. Our waiter, Michael, was not only incredibly helpful but also had a great sense of humor, making us laugh throughout the evening. He went above & beyond, even helping with our twins, which made the experience so much more enjoyable for us as a family. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience in Montreal, 40 Westt Steakhouse is the place to be. I can't recommend it enough!

Outstanding! Starters, steaks, & dessert (except the apple pie) were really amazing. We were a party of 15 & the service was impeccable. We all enjoyed the food, atmosphere & service so much. Our server Stephen was outstanding & extremely professional. We will all be back, but warn that we may be 30 next time :)

Absolutely outstanding! This place deserves a 10 star ⭐️ rating. I'm from Toronto & was in town for Mother's Day visiting family. We had the Mother's Day prefixed lunch menu & OMG fantastic. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with smiles. The service was perfection & the food was even better. I'm still dreaming about the chocolate soufflé. Counting down the days u til I go back to Montreal so I can go back to this place. Thank you to all the staff at 40 westt for making such a memorable experience. :)

This was our 30th wedding anniversary & as always, we had a wonderful time at the 40 Westt. The food & wine selection is outstanding. Our waiter Sergio was friendly, professional & answered any questions in an informed manner. The Cosmo cocktail was the best I've ever had. While my husband DEVOURED the Surf & Turf with 6 oz Prime Filet Mignon, I feasted on the Seafood Linguini... a literal mountain of succulent seafood with the most gorgeous tomato saffron bisque sauce. This restaurant has been the go-to place for all our special occasions & will continue to be so for many years to come.

We enjoyed our dinner there! Robert was our server & it was EXCELLENT service, professionally attentive & sociable. Joe the manager offered outstanding hospitality to us & around the dining room, even helping serving staff. The decor was casually elegant & appeared high-end quality. It was a well-run restaurant operation & it was clear they understand their customers & motivated to serve.
