Notre viande de bœuf, de qualité supérieure, est vieillie à sec, sur place, pendant une trentaine de jours, lui donnant ainsi son goût unique et savoureux! Il est possible de réserver le restaurant au grand complet, uniquement le dimanche, pour un minimum de 80 personnes.

Steak was good, everything else was OK.
Service was quite poor for a high end restaurant.

Pretty underwhelming food wise. Been several times for business, brought my wife for 1st time. Food was under seasoned. Paloma was flat ($30 cocktail 😒). Bread was offered yet never brought. A few other hiccups but normal in the industry, not worth adding but it all adds up at that point. Grille Nature will be our definite go-to at this point moving forward in the WI (better price, food, service, …)

Had the chance to enjoy a fancy lunch party with my colleagues at this amazing spot. Even though this is a late review due to the busy holiday season, my experience here was wonderful.
The food was absolutely delicious, & the staff were friendly, attentive, & very helpful. The atmosphere is elegant & perfect for special occasions.
I would definitely recommend this place to couples looking for a very fancy & romantic date.
Will surely come back again!

Food is delicious, lack of service our reservation was at 8:30 pm ,the waiter only came to our table to pour water at 9:15 pm . For a restaurant of this caliber you would expect better service.

While visiting my cousin in Montreal, we decided to have dinner at 40 Westt Steakhouse, & once again, this place reminded me why it's considered one of the top steakhouses in the city.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear how popular this restaurant is. Even though we had a reservation, the restaurant was extremely busy & we ended up waiting about 15 minutes for our table. That said, the wait didn't feel like an inconvenience at all. The staff greeted us with big, genuine smiles, apologized for the short delay, & immediately offered us drinks while we waited, which made the experience start on a very positive note.
Once seated, the service was absolutely top notch. I believe our waiter's name was Sam, & he truly made the evening even more enjoyable. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, & attentive without being intrusive. Everything flowed perfectly throughout the night thanks to him.
The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse-warm, elegant, lively, & very inviting. Despite how busy it was, the restaurant felt very clean, well-organized, & professionally run.
For appetizers, we went all out & ordered a variety of dishes:
Tuna tartare
Salmon tartare
Calamari
Beef carpaccio
40 Westt salad
Scallops
Every dish was beautifully presented & full of flavor. The tartares were fresh & perfectly seasoned, the calamari was crispy & light, & the beef carpaccio was delicate & melt-in-your-mouth. The 40 Westt salad was refreshing & well-balanced.
The real surprise for me was the scallops. It was my first time trying scallops, & all I can say is wow. They were absolutely delicious-perfectly cooked, tender, & packed with flavor.
For the main course, I opted for the New York Strip, & it did not disappoint. The steak was juicy, flavorful, & cooked perfectly, with an excellent sear. My wife ordered the same & loved it just as much. My cousin went with the Delmonico, & he said it was perfectly cooked & incredibly delicious.
We finished the night with dessert & all chose the soufflé, which was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal-light, rich, & absolutely amazing.
I've always enjoyed dining at 40 Westt, & this visit was no exception. I did notice that prices have gone up quite a bit, but considering the quality of the food, the top-notch service, & the overall experience, it's absolutely worth it.

The food & service were wonderful. I unfortunately can't remember our waitresses name but she was so attentive to the fact that we had our 2.5 year old & 7 month old. She was so great! Made the experience more fun for mom & dad!

Porterhouse was good. Mostly Tender. Nice sear. Some parts were dry, but it's is probably due to the dry aging.
Our dry aged steak delivered bold beef flavor, with blue-cheese notes & a touch funky. All good when you like dry aged steak, which i do!
Shrimps were cooked perfectly & flavourful.
I would describe the service as efficient. In the middle of asking questions about the menu, the server just left. Unusual. Another server tried humor by insulting us. Not my idea of hospitality. Again...Unusual.
Anyways, we finally tried it. Good food. We will not return due to robotic (but efficient!) service from one server & downright impolite comments from another.
Save the roasting for the steaks, not the guests.

Excellence in services restaurant, family friendly & fast. Their magnificent prestigious band & band leader Mr. Wali at the bar, makes you feel warm, welcoming & very special. This is the perfect band for all occasions & special events at this luxurious, fancy, top notch restaurant. Music is healing & happiness!!!

We've been coming here for special occasions for 20 years & it has always been one of our favorites. It has completely fallen off quality wise. Steaks were small & dry. The sides were extremely low value. For 18$ you get 7-8 cold thin asparagus stalks that were limp. The waiters were also inattentive & actually quite cold, bordering on rude. Honestly at 150$ per person it doesn't make sense anymore.

I brought my sister to 40 West to sit by the bar for cocktails & to enjoy the live jazz band. The service was excellent! Our bartender was Chris Everett. His expertise & service were impeccable! The entire ambiance & evening were so memorable!

Went for my company's Christmas lunch & really enjoyed it. The wedge salad with creamy blue cheese dressing & the NY-style steak were delicious. Service was decent-I was told it's usually better, but since it was my first visit, I can't compare. I'd definitely go again!

Our company Christmas party was held at 40Westt. What a phenomenal night we all had. Staff, management made sure everything was to everyone's satisfaction. Food was incredible fish or steak you cannot go wrong. Wine selection was wonderful. I definitely recommend this place for any event birthday-anniversary-baptism.... 40Westt will not disappoint.

Always a treat to go to one of the top steak houses in the province, not just the city. The wait staff is very courteous, knowledgeable & caters to every need. The selection of wine & the quality of the food is second to none. In short, incredible atmosphere coupled with excellent food & service!
