We are visiting from NYC & wanted some good Italian. Was excited when we found this place with homemade pasta. Pros - great service . Mussels were good Cons - 1. Homemade pasta texture was not at all what we are used to in nyc or Italy. Pasta was not elastic , it was like eating pasta made from chick peas or something, very grainy. We had linguini with pesto & the pesto was tasteless. Usually we find places too salty, first time I complain it was not salty or any taste at all. 2. We had Margherita pizza & it was basically a cheese pizza, not fresh mozzarella on it. It was soggy & could had used more taste also. Won't recommend this restaurant at all.
I had the speciality Ossobuco or'bone with a hole', braised veal shank & gremolata, & it was delicious 😋! The veal was melt in your mouth tender & the pasta was great. The portion was pretty big & being able to eat the marrow was a surprise. I really enjoyed the veal & together with the slice of yummy pizza & a sampler half piece of sausage from my dinner companions, I was stuffed! Another great dinner in Montreal!

The atmosphere is lovely. Service was great. The patio upstairs & outside is beautiful. I definitely recommend the pastas. The pizza was not good at all.
Upon arrival seated immediately, beautiful atmosphere, tables extremely sticky/dirty, regardless of where you sit they need to address this, Ordered fettuccine Carbonara, Pasta had been pre-cooked & stuck together in clumps & hard not the way you should be served a $25 plate of pasta, ordered the pepperoni & mushroom pizza, tomato sauce extreme Acidic, dough flop huge, soggy base, been here many times over the decades food is progressively worse. Shame could be the place to be. If you check my reviews they are honest & without prejudice. If you want Italian food go somewhere else.
We had a fabulous experience. It was a warm evening & we sat outside. Our waiter Samy was perfect. The fresh pasta was some of the best I've ever had. The desserts were fantastic. My wife loves tiramisu & she said this was the best. I had the Nutella cheesecake & it was much better than I had thought it was going to be. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Great for a date night, for visitors on their final night in the city, or a random Thursday night.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Wienstein & Gavino's! The atmosphere was lively & welcoming, perfect for a night out. We tried the pizza, pasta, & lamb chops. The pizza & pasta were both great - full of flavor & perfectly cooked. The lamb chops were overall okay; while the flavor was good, they could have been better in terms of tenderness. The service was attentive & friendly, & the restaurant's interior had a cozy yet vibrant ambiance. It's a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. We'd definitely recommend it, especially for the pizza & pasta!
Vibes are great, burratta was great, pasta was stuck together, & had a bland sauce, pizza was surprisingly bad. Undercooked, no flavour, weak crust. Overall had great expectations but honestly quite disappointed.

Great place for a lunch or a dinner with large, fulfilling meals of Italian cuisine. The restaurant interior is beautiful, with a drinks bar in the middle & interesting interior design. There is even a way to see how pasta is made. If you come with a company, many tables on different levels of the restaurant. For sport lovers, some tables are beside TV screens. Overall, very place to visit for a good meal in the middle of the city.
Would rate a 4.5. Food was delicious &, for the most part, service was super quick. We all had pasta, got free bread for the table & split a salad across 4 of us as an appetizer. Only downside, like 3 flights of stairs at the restaurant. My friend had a cane & they sat us at the top floor of the restaurant - we didn't say anything but not the easiest to get up to. Otherwise, it was a great meal.
Came upon this place while walking around the area. Homemade pasta that provides you with an authentic Italian meal,... reminiscent of what Nona makes. The ingredients were fresh & the Caprese salad showcased this. The service was wonderful, as the waitress was very attentive. The only issue & this is very minor, is that the bread provided is not warm. I think this would taste better with the oil & balsamic provided.

We had a lovely birthday dinner at W&G. The pasta was fantastic & so was the service. There were 3 floors of seating but a reservation is definitely needed because it is a popular spot. Our server Romain was wonderful.
Nice restaurant with friendly staff. The wine selection was excellent. I had a glass of the Chianti, which was delicious. The pasta was okay, I had the carbonara, & it did not have enough sauce. Calamari was not very crispy, but it was tasty. Minestrone soup was delicious. Overall, it was a good experience.
