Second time in Montreal after 15 years. Was craving some good Italian food. Found this place. Stopped for lunch. We ordered the seafood pasta- mussels, shrimp, calamari, clams, squid- in a tomato sauce. It was amazing! Flavour was just right, pasta cooked perfectly & most importantly it was served hot! Loved every bite!
We did our tour on Mount Royal & decided we should try it once more for supper since it was so delicious!
My husband ordered the pesto, beef pasta- which was outstanding- must try!
I ordered the same seafood pasta but it wasn't as good. It was served warm not hot. A big let disappointment for me. & somehow the seafood tasted like it was just mixed with the sauce. It was mixing the flavours. If I visit Montreal I will definitely return!
The portion was very generous, price is very reasonable & the staff & waiters were amazing!
We went to Wienstein & Gavino's to celebrate a birthday & had a great experience. The food was excellent, & we especially loved the calamari appetizer.
The Pasta Sofia & the steak were also excellent, & the mojito was very refreshing. For dessert, the chocolate cheesecake was my favorite.
The restaurant was quite busy, but the service was still very fast. Our appetizers & main dishes arrived quickly & everything was perfectly timed.
A special thank you to our server, Meghan. She was incredibly friendly, patient, & professional. She made us feel very welcome & took great care of us throughout the evening.
Overall, the food, the service, & the atmosphere were all wonderful. We will definitely come back again!
Returning to W&G, we enjoyed a flavorful burrata bruschetta & incredibly cheesy mac & cheese. While the pesto pasta was good, the chicken felt bland. Sam provided great service, even recommending the homemade tiramisu. Overall, it remains a solid choice for a pleasant dining experience.
When I think of Italian food, I don't usually think of Montreal, but having said that, this place is amazing. Some of the best Italian that I've ever had. If you're in downtown Montreal for business or pleasure, I highly recommend stopping in here, grabbing a seat at the bar, & trying some of their amazing pasta & one of Francois' famous lemon drop martinis.

The restaurant is a very cool space & the staff are friendly. We were really excited to try it based on the reviews & the homemade pasta noted on the menu, as we love pasta! After eating here, I would not recommend the pasta. We ordered two different dishes/noodle types & they were both just ok for how much hype all the reviews give. Kinda bland, warm not hot, & only 3 shrimp in the chorizo & shrimp dish we ordered. Not what we expected based on reviews & price point.
I cannot speak to the non-pasta dishes & pizza as we came here solely for pasta. Our cocktails were nice though.
I've been to W&G a few years ago & i liked it so decided to go back:)
We ordered the burrata in bruschetta & i loved the mix of flavour! For the main dish, we had the pesto (+chicken) & mac&cheese. The pesto pasta was good but the chicken was bland. The m&c was also good & extremely cheesy. For dessert, we took the tiramisu as our server Sam told us it was homemade. I'm not a big tiramisu fan so it was decent. Overall, we had a great experience & great service!
Pasta was rich in flavor without being heavy. Caesar salad was great if you don't enjoy fishiness. Happy with my choice of the house Cabernet Sauvignon.
Creamy, delicious pasta with generous portions. Elegant Italian atmosphere, professional & knowledgeable staff. On the pricier side ($30-$40 per meal), but worth it for the quality.
Note: not wheelchair accessible, no vegan options, & service can be slower when busy.

I've been coming to this Italian restaurant for over 15 years, & it's always exceptional. The food is delicious - pasta, pizza, salads, & great wine. The service is consistently warm & attentive. They make you feel at home. A true Italian gem in Montreal that never disappoints.
We gave this place a chance based on reviews, but the service was a nightmare. The staff has zero internal communication. We were stopped at the door & treated like criminals for trying to step outside for a smoke, even though we told a waitress & left our bags at the table as a guarantee. The management was incredibly rude & dismissive until the moment we paid; then their attitude suddenly shifted.
We specifically asked if our food would stay, but we came back upstairs to find our table cleared & our meal in takeout boxes anyway. It felt like we were profiled & judged because we were in sweatpants, as they didn't bother to listen to us until they had our money. The manager tried to fix it with a free drink, but the night was already ruined. As for the food, the ravioli was okay, but the soup was nothing special & the Manzo pasta was very'mid' & lacked flavor. Save your money & go somewhere where the staff treats customers with basic respect.

Came here on a Monday night & it was bumpin' before a Paul McCartney concert. Bartender was super nice & friendly. Food was delicious - recommend the Gigi pasta with a meatball! Great atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!
We visited Montreal for a week in early November & ate at Weinstein & Gavino's twice. An easy walk from our hotel (& not far from the Bell Centre), the cool, three-level establishment is casual & welcoming. The service & food were both great. Fresh, warm bread (with oil & balsamic dip) is served before your order arrives & the salads, pastas, & pizza we ordered all tasted delicious. Casual local atmosphere, very good food & reasonable prices. 5 stars for us!!
