I had a lovely experience. We had chosen this restaurant specifically to celebrate our lockdown wedding anniversary & we were disappointed that there was no lobster in our order of Mac & cheese, risotto & seafood pasta all of which was supposed to have lobster meat. The manager was kind enough to reduce our bill as the lobster hadn't been included. Really appreciate how nice he was. We will definitely be going back.
Just this past weekend my girlfriend & I had arranged a weekend in Montreal to celebrate her birthday. Prior to our travels, we didn't have anything set in stone as to where we wanted to have dinner. After deciding on Italian cuisine we narrowed our decision to a couple of restaurants one of which we concluded on, & that was W&Gs. Everything & anything you would want hope for on a night out were simply amazing. Our server, Tony was one of the best I've ever had. Great sense of humour, made us feel very welcomed & chatted with us throughout the entire night. He was very personable & had great energy. It's funny how in today's world we assume everyone to be like that in the serving industry only to be disappointed more times than not. Sure as heck not at W&G. The food was amazing. one of the best firewood pizzas I've had, I'm a big eater & love high-quality food, as does my girlfriend. She loved her pasta, White sangria was awesome, dessert was super tasty & the overall vibe of the restaurant was extremely welcoming & spacious. Overall I couldn't ask for more & thought it ought to be recognized & written about. I will return, & we need more Tonys in the world.
Wienstein & Gavino's has three inside levels in addition to an outside dining area. We opted fot the upper level where noise from bar was reduced & gave an excellent vies of second level where kitchen is located (about 6 steps lower than upper). Dinner start with a small loaf of warm bread & dipping sauce. Fairly extensive menu with many options. We chose the Margarita pizza -divided into 4 pieces. We thought we wold each have one piece & take the others back to our hotel. we ate the entire pizza - it was fantastic. . Service was over the top. ext night we were going to have dinner with a friend. We went back to Wienstein & Gavino's for another excellent meal. We ordered Caesay salad & pasta penne & split them between us. Our friend had lasagna - all plates were cleaned. We recommend this as an excellent restaurant for dinner or lunch. Five stars for food & service.
Food is amazing. Service very quick. Beautiful inside. They also have a very great 10$ lunch menu.
Filet mignon impeccable. Je recommande & y retournerai assurément.
Global disappointment by the 12 of us, a group of international 30 y old people Food & beverage Beer is one of the more expensive one we took : mainstream brands at 9 dollars the pint. Food is low quality : we tested different pizzas & pastas : crust tasteless, very salty topings, missing or non listed toppings Tiramisus is industrial quality ... for 9 bucks, we would expect something different. Service : really poor. It s hard to describe more, as the waiter was a ghost with mission to take the orders & payment as fast as possible Decoration : OK. Huge restaurant in Italian style
Chic resto branché, bonne bouffe, bon prix.
This place is pretty over rated. I got the mushroom pizza & my boyfriend the prosciutto pizza. They were OKAY. But not worth the price. Our entree was very good. The fresh mozzarella ball with tomatoes. Literally the best thing there was the free hot bread with olive oil & pesto. Also way too dark & loud.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I've been to it twice & ordered 2 different main dishes. The first time I tried the linguine romanoff. I've had very good Romanoff before & what I was served this night was not even close. It tasted like a tomato sauce with cream & thrown in mushrooms. The second time I felt I would go with something a lot more familiar, linguine Rose. Very disappointing...The pasta was undercooked & the Rose once again tasted like tomato sauce with cream. It lacked that gentle creamy texture & flavor a good Rose has. I will admit the service was friendly & pleasant. Also both the red & white sangria's were fantastic. I personally recommend the white sangria.
