The duck confit salad was not at all what I was expecting. It tasted exactly like cold chicken & ingredients were missing. Although the manager was extremely helpful, it was hard to believe they've "never had a complaint about it".

We stayed at a nearby hotel & highly recommended having breakfast here. The breakfast here is far better than the hotel's, & we will come here every day during our stay. Also very child friendly.
Our server was absolutely fantastic. I wish I could remember his name, he was bright & cheerful.
The food was great. The all day breakfast was delicious, & I kept going in for bites on my daughters crepe. It was really good too.
The price is reasonable for downtown Montreal. Highly recommend.
Great hearty breakfast. I highly recommend Universel Dejuener. They catered to my gluten & dairy free food allergies. I had poached eggs, avocado on gluten free toast. A bowl of low sugar fruit too. We enjoyed Almond milk lattes.

Have already been twice & absolutely loved it. I got the Vegetarian Omelet I believe & was very satisfied. The portion was perfect & I loved the fruit on the side. The one thing I will say is that if you order a breakfast combo, it comes with quiet a lot of bread on the side even if French toast is your main. Overall great atmosphere with pretty porch seating as well. Will definitely be going again.
horrible fries stale & tasted sweet. drinks glass had a bad smell. burger was ok. service was very good.
Worst burger ever. Asked for medium rare, was informed they only offer client requests on steaks, not burgers. Fries were horribly greasy. Waste of $. Maybe their breakfast is their gig. Music loud & not conducive to eating. This seems like a low end college joint.
Friendly place with service in both English & French. We enjoyed our breakfast. They were very flexible when we wanted to customise our order. We will visit if we ever visit the city again.

I enjoyed my breakfast at the Universel Déjeuners & Grillades. I had an omelette & it was very good. I entered hungry & left satisfied. Service was excellent too. Would recommend & I would come back next time I am in Montreal.
My favorite restaurant for brunch! The food is amazing & the price is more than decent for downtown montreal. I recommend this place to everybody, even for vegetarians like me they have a lot of choices.
