We used the Happy Hour offer until 7pm with Pizzas for 15,- CAD & beer (0,3l) for 5,- CAD. We enjoyed great personal service & the Pizzas were very good. Lots of seating options inside & out.
It's 2 Blocks away from the Main shopping street - where they have a second Restaurant - & was undeservedly very empty on Labour Day.

The patio is or fav, with a rolled back awning, weather permitting. Satisfies the people watching, great food & exceptional service.
When searching for a restaurant on Maps, Universel Dèjeuners & Grillades was highly rated. We first attended for breakfast. The options were excellent & delicious. After breakfast we decided we would return for dinner that evening.
When we returned we sat outside on the patio. The server was very friendly & spoke to us in English.
My wife ordered the chicken brochette with lemon, garlic & oregano. The serving was on the large size. The salad was'the best I've ever had', the chicken & rice were perfect & the homemade tzatziki sauce was incredible!!!
I had the Asian-style chicken breast which was also very delicious. The sauce made the meal.
The atmosphere was excellent with lots of people enjoying the evening.
The food here was beyond delicious & the staff & location were awesome. We would come back to Montreal just to eat here.
We visited Canada for a month, visiting Montreal, Ottawa, & Quebec City frequently going out for breakfast during our travels. Universel Dèjeuners & Grillades was our favorite during our travels for large, very reasonable, & delicious breakfasts. I love the option of the two egg breakfast with crêpes, toast, potatoes, & coffee. All of the weight staff we encountered were very pleasant & attentive. They offer indoor & covered outdoor seating. The only issue we encountered was the music too loud for us at times.
Great place for a quick, delicious breakfast or lunch in downtown Montreal. Fast, friendly service & hearty, affordable meals, with outdoor seating options.
Very good breakfast option If you are travelling downtown Montreal or visiting McGill. Nothing really special but food is pretty good. It can get very crowded tho which may affect service quality by a tiny bit but overall still a good option.
Excellent food, offering higher quality for only a small premium on price compared to other breakfast options.

Absolutely loved this place! One of the things that really stood out to me was that they offer late breakfast options, I was there aroun noon during the week & got offered both menus. Super convenient. The service was impeccable, & the food was amazing. They have a great variety of dishes for both breakfast & dinner, & everything I tried was delicious. Highly recommend!
When we visit Montréal, this is where we go for breakfast. Kids enjoy it & so do we because of the many options available. They have so much to choose from. Food is always great, as well as the service & we never really have to wait. We'll be back next time we're in Montréal!
One day I decided to eat my breakfast at Universel, & after ordering my meal I ask the bill, then I realize that there is no mobile phone payment option. The bill was 20.10$, I paid 20$ because this is only what I had as cash money. For """""10 CENT"""" The restaurant manager complained about 2-3 minutes with me. No more money to you. (Also somehow I forgot to mention. That idiot manager also asked me to give my ID to him!!!!. )
This location is next to a hotel & has an upscale ambiance. There is also a covered terrace in front just off the street. We ordered the banana strawberry Nutella toast & the combo eggs & waffle with extra toast. The coffee was additional. The waffle has syrup for the table included. The texture of the waffle was just a bit harder than I like but still okay. The french toast & potatoes were great. The portion sizes are quite generous. There is plenty of seating for one person up to medium-sized groups. The menu has vegetarian options for brunch & dinner.
We came here for breakfast every day when we were visiting Montreal. They had gluten free options which is hard to find. Really big portions as well & friendly service!
Never disappointed with this place . Every breakfast item I've ever ordered has been delicious . The hot chocolate & lattes are done very well . Food always fresh & delicious . Their breakfast burger is so so good & the chicken & waffles absolutely delicious . The service is great . Just a great place to dine . They also have great vegan options . Will definitely recommend
