About us
UMAMI RAMEN & IZAKAYA is the very first fully vegan ramen restaurant in Montreal.
Thanks to the import of a Japanese machine for making noodles, the establishment makes its own homemade noodles from organic wheat, in addition to making its broths, Tsukemono, kombucha and sprouts! The restaurant offers several varieties of ramen and small classics of Japanese Bistronomy in a vegan version. Whether we think of okonomiyaki, gyozas, Agedashi tofu or even tempeh Tonkatsu, Cédric and his team are happy to present to you every day, from starter to dessert, these revisited Japanese classics... just a few exclusives straight out of our kitchens. And who says Izayaka, of course, says refreshing beers, sumptuous wines, intoxicating cocktails, delicate sakes and other fine wine products. At Umami Ramen, we experience cruelty-free gastronomy at its best!

Excellente expérience pour un souper en tête à tête; le service est efficace & chaleureux, & la nourriture est délicieuse (le yuba karaage a été une révélation pour nous!).
Nous y retournerons très certainement pour tester le menu dégustation.

Mes quatre invitées ont découvert les plats végans de la meilleur façon qui soit. Tout était délicieux & une belle présentation. Elles ont porté attention aux jolies bols & assiettes. Elles ont été sensibles à l'originalité des plats. Le service vraiment courtois & agréable, nous permettais de poser toutes les questions sans se sentir bousculé par le temps. Merci pour la belle ambiance.

Wow! The best of the best of the best.
The food was incredibly delicious. The chefs are unbeatable. The service was very pleasant, profesional & authentic. We st outside & the vibe was unreal. This is 100% a restaurant worth checking!

Je suis allée à ce charmant restaurant , quelle belle expérience pour la première fois dans un restaurant vegan je ne pouvais pas tomber mieux . WoW que c'était bon & les cocktails aussi . Sandrine notre charmante serveuse nous a conseillé le menu dégustation tout était bon je suis tellement contente d'avoir pu essayer plein de plats . Je conseille ce restaurant autant au vegan qu'au amateur de viande il ne seront pas déçu .

Went there twice, as we didn't eat the menu the first time. On the weekend there was however no menu. But all the dishes we ate were really tasty & well presented. Sitting in the garden area was a true pleasure. Service very friendly & attentive. Waiting time a bit long, but ok.

Food was overly rich, very heavy & hard to digest. The curry ramen was way too thick. Service was all over the place. While we were there we got 4 different servers. Two of them seemed completely lost. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Only pro was the patio outside, which was nice.

J'avais attendu parler de renommer de cet endroit pour ses ramens reconnus, mais j'ignorais que c'était un restaurant complètement végan. J'ai apprécié grandement l'expérience & les prouesses culinaires incroyables de cette équipe. L'okonomyaki, gros coup de coeur, & le cocktail sour également. Vraiment sur la coche. Vraiment un gros OUI, encore.
