UMAMI RAMEN & IZAKAYA is the very first fully vegan ramen restaurant in Montreal.
Thanks to the import of a Japanese machine for making noodles, the establishment makes its own homemade noodles from organic wheat, in addition to making its broths, Tsukemono, kombucha and sprouts! The restaurant offers several varieties of ramen and small classics of Japanese Bistronomy in a vegan version. Whether we think of okonomiyaki, gyozas, Agedashi tofu or even tempeh Tonkatsu, Cédric and his team are happy to present to you every day, from starter to dessert, these revisited Japanese classics... just a few exclusives straight out of our kitchens. And who says Izayaka, of course, says refreshing beers, sumptuous wines, intoxicating cocktails, delicate sakes and other fine wine products. Très bon restaurant végane. Les plats sont beaux & bons mais les saveurs pourraient être un peu plus travaillées pour se rapprocher de la cuisine japonaise.
2025 mtl à table : super expérience. Déco moderne, zen. Cuisine soignée & goûteuse. Mon conjoint qui un carnivore fini est conquis. Service courtois, très professionnel. J'ai adoré tout le menu dégustation. Un coup de coeur pour le'champignon-steak', les nouilles maison & la crème brûlée à la patate douce.

J'ai bien aimé ce restaurant de ramen Vegane. J'ai pris le bol miso epicé, c'etait bon, mais ce n'etait pas du tout epicé. J'ai aussi pris le cocktail « ume sour » fait avec du Umeshu, mais ça ne goutait pas du tout le Umeshu. C'etait quand meme bon, mais je pense quils doivent revoir le menu ou la description des mets pour que ça goute ce qui est décrit
Incroyable ! Ramens uniquement vegan sans le savoir & c'était fabuleux. Riche en goûts, en textures, belle portion, beaucoup de choix, bons conseils des serveuses, super accueil. & excellents cocktails ! Probablement le meilleur de ma vie. Bravo, continuez comme ça ! & ne changez pas les prix !
Wonderful experience. All the flavors & textures were spot on, especially a big fan of the'egg' in the ramen. The soup broth was a delicious combination of tomato & mushroom & gave the full experience of Japanese ramen.
The matcha cocktail was also fantastic, it kinda falls into a dessert cocktail but I would have it anytime 🤣
Definitely would come back to try more of the menu.
A very nice cute & intimate restaurant with really good food & greater service 🎉🎉 We started with Gyoza that was beyond delicious ❤?❤? For the main course I had the Montreal sushi while my partner had Chicken dronagiri & each bite was just perfect 💕💕 To see the chefs make it in front of us was a huge delight ! For dessert we had the chocolate mousse & the cheesecake matcha & it was heavenly 🩷🩷 Cannot wait to go back & try other items in this 10/10 restaurant 😇😇

Everything was perfect! The food was great, the ambiabce felt comfortable like when you're at home & the waitress was so friendly, helping us to chose the right sake for our taste. Thanks for the great evening!
La nourriture était excellente & notre serveuse, qui était nouvelle, nous a épatés. Par contre, le service des cocktails laisse à désirer. Nous avons attendus plus de 30 minutes pour nos verres & il y en a un qui nous a jamais été servis. Il serait bien de revoir le fonctionnement du service de cocktails ainsi que le nombre de serveurs présents. Merci!
J'ai adoré ma première expérience à ce resto ! La jeune fille au service est nouvelle en apprentissage & très bon support de ses collègues. Un bon resto où je vais certainement retourner !

Really impressive! The service was perfect: they brought out each plate at the right moment as we finished the last. They were easily able to accommodate a peanut & tree nut allergy, apparently only sesame is present. Incredible taste & presentation. Amongst the best ramen I have ever had, even in Japan. Highly recommend.

J'ai pris les ramen miso, en entrée les aubergines marinées, & en dessert le beigne maison - tout était tout simplement excellent. Les saveurs sont riches, bien équilibrées, & chaque plat est préparé avec soin.
Le service était impeccable : rapide, attentionné & professionnel. L'ambiance du restaurant est chaleureuse & moderne, parfaite pour passer un bon moment, que ce soit seul ou accompagné.
Je recommande vivement, c'est une adresse à ne pas manquer à Montréal !
Can't go wrong with the Tempeh Tonkatsu Ramen.
The gyozas are good too. & the edameme are amazing.
Too bad the seating is really close to each other.
For a vegan place, the food tasted great!
