Dans l'ensemble, Tuck Shop reçoit des éloges pour des plats frais et savoureux dans une carte variée, les huîtres et la sauce piquante maison étant souvent mises en avant; le service est perçu comme attentif dans une ambiance chaleureuse, mais certaines visites trouvent l'endroit assez bruyant aux heures d'affluence et quelques plats manquent d'équilibre ou paraissent trop travaillés. Le poisson et le canard sont régulièrement cités comme des réussites et les desserts comme le gâteau au chocolat et la crème de coco plaisent; la cuisine est saluée pour ses dressages soignés et ses changements saisonniers qui maintiennent l'intérêt. Le prix peut être élevé et certains clients estiment que certaines portions sont petites pour le coût, mais beaucoup repartent inspirés et ravis de revenir, grâce à l'accompagnement du personnel, à l'expérience de cuisine ouverte et à l'hospitalité généralement élevée.
Tuck Shop used to be one of our favorite spots-we always loved the food, the ambiance, & the overall experience. Unfortunately, something has changed, & our recent visit left us extremely disappointed.
From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed through our entire three-course meal. Our $100 bottle of wine was repeatedly poured high, seemingly to encourage faster consumption. As we were slowly savoring our last glass, we were abruptly informed that we couldn't order a cocktail to finish our evening because we needed to vacate the table in five minutes & jackets were delivered to our chairs, which were quickly taken back when I asked to first finish my wine glass.
The worst part? We were only given 1 hour & 15 minutes to enjoy a full three-course meal & a bottle of wine-an experience that should have felt indulgent & enjoyable, not pressured & hurried. Meanwhile, two other couples were there before us & still enjoying a coffee & dessert while we had to go. For a pricy evening, it was one of the most dissatisfying dining experiences we've had in a long time.
If you value a relaxed & well-paced dining experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. We won't be returning anytime soon.
The service is nothing short of impeccable, making you feel truly welcomed from the moment you arrive. The culinary offerings are absolutely divine & will leave your taste buds dancing with delight.
The hanger steak is an essential choice-it's one of the best steaks I've ever savored, cooked to perfection with a rich, mouthwatering flavor that simply melts in your mouth!
& don't overlook the desserts; they are truly extraordinary, each one a sweet masterpiece that rounds off the meal beautifully.
The atmosphere is equally captivating, creating a vibrant & lively vibe that enhances the entire dining experience.

We really wanted to eat here & we didn't get to because of an unexpected delay. We were not able to make the reservations we made but they were understanding & helped us book for another time. Without even trying their food we can tell they care about the customer experience. Thank you.
The best restaurant in Montreal, hands down. Never never never fails, always the best food, great staff, great atmosphere. One of those establishments where you know you'll have a good time, no matter the day or time a year. I have come here so many times over the years, & it never fails. Better than many other high-end establishments of Montreal. Cannot recommend enough.
One of my favourite restaurants in Montreal! The dishes are amazing, & the ambiance is welcoming & warm. The service is also exceptional.
If you're looking for an upscale dining experience, without the stuffy interior that tends to come with fine dining, I highly recommend Tuckshop. Plus, they're open on Mondays.
This is the real deal. Pork belly was wonderful with a Gouda sauce. Duck with foir gras was nuts. Nice scallop crudo. Excellent creme brulee. Wonderful service. Great manager. Worth the trip to that part of town

Food was pretty good. The sommelier was trying to upsell me on getting the more expensive wine to "impress my clients" not knowing that it was just a company meal. Kinda weird!
Wonderful reunion, delicious food & really great service! Jonathan Metcalfe is creative & attentive towards his customers. A superb evening at the Tuck Shop make me happy!
TUCK SHOP is an absolute gem! The espresso martini here is simply the best I've ever had - perfectly crafted & absolutely delicious thanks Karly! Huge thanks to the staff for being so warm & attentive, Gabriel for his fantastic sense of humor that added a special touch to the evening, & Jérémie for the gallant & gracious welcome. The team truly goes above & beyond to create an amazing dining experience. I can't wait to come back!

Came here for a New Year's Eve dinner - amazing service & one of the best salads I've had in my life! However the focaccia was a total miss & $95 for a piece of mid-quality filet mignon was questionable - generally left feeling that it would have been an amazing meal if it had been 20% cheaper.
They accommodated a group of us (8) & sat us in the back area past the kitchen. The service was great & it was nice to be in a quieter area where we could have good conversations. The food was so yummy! We went family style on the apps & enjoyed them all. Thank you for a great time.

I spent Friday night at Tuck Shop with my family for my birthday, & it was everything I would have hoped for. The food was excellent, & the service was seamless. I believe our server was named Luis, he was attentive, pleasant & funny. We never once waited for refills of drinks, or were without something we needed. Having worked as a server myself I absolutely appreciate good customer service, & theirs was wonderful. They seemed to work as a team which I love. Between the 5 of us we ordered all of the mains, & each one was great! The oysters were some of the best I've had, & the focaccia was delicious. Honestly one of the best birthday dinners I've had at a restaurant, maybe ever. It's not often that service & food quality both blow me away, & Tuck Shop had the perfect balance of both. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely birthday experience! We will absolutely be back when we're in town next.
We went to Tuck Shop on December 6th for a special occasion- the food was terrific, the service by Luis was impeccable ( two of us worked as servers in the past-he was a perfect waiter- attentive, not pushy, there when we needed him!) & the atmosphere is great- we highly recommend Tuck Shop!
Great ambience & amazing service! More of a lowkey, casual fine dining place. We got the Focaccia to start & it was honestly the best I ever had. Perfectly salted, super soft on the inside, & add the perfect crisp on the outside. For the mains we split the: - Hanger Steak it was good & the fries were good, but nothing special - Duck magret the duck was cooked soo well & I liked all the complementary components of the dish - Cappelletti my husband loved this dish, but since I'm not a fan of sweeter pasta, I couldn't not taste pumpkin pie. He however, thought it was the best dish out of the 3 we tried
The evening was very good, the service was perfect & food was good. The atmosphere was amazing. The only thing I found weird was the toilets being right in front of our table, so every time someone went in or left we had a visual of a bathroom which was a bit weird, not sure why they designed the restaurant like that.
