A simply outstanding experience! Was lucky
enough to score the Chef's Counter so had front row seats to watch & interact with Chef & his incredible crew. Highlights were the beef croquettes (which Chef explained the 4 day process to prepare & comped us some extra!), the steak frites, the duck (I could drink the sauce) & the chocolate & lemon curd desserts. The staff was attentive & engaging throughout (Chef even noticed I dropped my napkin & left the pass to replace mine). It was a special treat to watch the kitchen crew execute the dinner service with such precision, care & cleanliness. This was a dinner experience I will never forget & am already looking forward to returning. Bravissimo!

We had an outstanding dinner at Tuck Shop & would happily return.

We had an 8:30 reservation & took a cab from our hotel rather than deal with parking in the busy neighbourhood, which worked out very well. From the moment we arrived, what really distinguished Tuck Shop was the service. I honestly don't remember ever experiencing more attentive service in a restaurant.

We were ordering wine by the glass, & almost as soon as we finished a glass, someone was there to ask if we would like another. That may sound like a small thing, but anyone who has spent half a meal trying to flag down a server for another glass of wine will appreciate just how good the service was.

Our waitress, Marie-Camille, was exceptional - extremely friendly, attentive & competent. She is exactly what you hope for in a great restaurant server.

The menu is fairly limited, particularly when it comes to the number of main courses, but the food we had was excellent. My wife is Portuguese & knows her fish, & she said the swordfish was the best she had ever eaten. My beef dish was also very good.

There was one very minor hiccup when my wife's wine glass was cleared before she had quite finished it. When she mentioned it, they immediately offered to replace the wine. We declined, but the way the staff handled it actually added to the evening. She later had a complimentary Grand Marnier, & the gentleman who had cleared the glass offered to join us for a complimentary shot. It was that kind of place - professional, but also genuinely warm & friendly.

The service continued right to the end. When we were leaving, we needed a cab back to our hotel. Thomas took care of it & actually stayed outside on the street with us until we were able to get one.

Tuck Shop is busy & consequently a little noisy, & the menu isn't extensive, but neither detracted much from what was an outstanding evening. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was lively, & the service was truly exceptional.

Highly recommended. We would absolutely go back.

Outstanding food & possibly the best service in Montreal right now. I can't stress enough how attentive & efficient the service was. We have been coming here for the last 15 years but it had been a few years since our last visit & let me say we will certainly be back soon. Every single dish was on point & the atmosphere was warm & cozy. I can't believe we let this place fall off our radar for so long. Shoutout to our server Liam thank you.

Outstanding food I've never had food as good. Every single staff member stopped & greeted us as we entered & the same on exit. Outstanding service from the moment we entered to the moment we left. No detail left untouched. Very good.

Everything about this meal was perfect. We really love every bite. The service was really excellent & the staff seemed very knowledgeable. They seemed to really care how you felt about the food & that feels really good. The surprising stand out for us was the lemon tart - honestly probably my new favourite dessert. Would highly recommend!
