I Like it but It's getting weirder for the last months i go there.. Staff are nice, but sometimes vibes are just weird with the staff. I loved my waitress tonight. Anyways...tonight, i got a carrot cake & to my last spoonful of it - i saw a small dead fly in the plate - told my waitress about it just for future clients they could be serving dessert if the cake is already cut & in plates- & she was personnaly disgusted. I was disgusted too tbh. She came back & told me that the manager said that ::: because its summer, flies come in easily & get on plates. That's how it is. I didn't say anything back & just paid & left, but as I am walking I feel offended & kind of disappointing that I got such answer. Look at the plates before sending - It's obnoxious & not okay to normalize such bad food quality control- the answer was the most disappointing thing - to understand that they really don't care much about salubrity & food control. I could cook food at home with flies around, but not one fly will drop on my plate. That fly was long dead.
The pizza was really good
Burger are average but not bad
the service was great she changed the fries for us cuz it came cold with the meal
The place itself its really nice giving that old restaurant look
Pretty good food, incredibly huge portions, & decently reasonable pricing. Greenspot has been around for ages & it's going to outlive me for sure. Definitely enjoyed my meal there & have definitely enjoyed a lots of other visits in the past. In a strange way, it's one of those generational spots as this was a place that my parents used to go in college & now me & other family members in the generations after. Looking forward to a return trip next time I'm back in Montreal, especially for breakfast as the menu for breakfast is ridiculously huge. Added bonus, the Atwater market just around the corner so it's easier to make it into a whole event.
Dinner à l'ancienne décor d'époque qualité de la bouffe & quantité excellente pour ce type de cuisine prix très raisonnable & service efficace.
this place is amazing.. very affordable for the amount of food you get! everything was delicious & service was great too!! practically no wait to be seated even on a busy weekend.
I was in town for a business trip & noticed this place was conveniently located near my meeting, so I decided to give it a try. Since it was my first visit, I went with the classics: a lean Montreal smoked meat sandwich & a small poutine. I also asked for extra pickles.
The cashier was friendly & even commented that I had made a great choice. While waiting for my takeout order, I got a good feel for the restaurant-the atmosphere was welcoming, & both the staff & customers seemed genuinely friendly.
The smoked meat sandwich was outstanding. The meat was tender & flavorful, & they were generous with the pickles, which were crisp & delicious. The poutine was a little on the salty side for my taste, but it was still very tasty.
I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town, & I think I'll be trying one of their famous hot dogs.
Poutine & Burger degueulass ,sa vaut pas le coup aller au macdo qui est a côté
Waiter (young fellow) was nice & quick. Not impressed with the behind the counter staff, did not even provide wifi password (although in the wifi options you can clearly see there are several). I stopped by the place to have a quick bite & work a bit but that was not possible . Should improve
