Greenspot…. While I respect this place as an institution & do recommend coming here, I must warn you about their hamburger steak.

Hungry for a protein rich dinner to fuel me for a Saturday night, I ordered the hamburger steak with vegetables. The dish arrived at my table, & my waitress promptly left the scene. I was left confused - why were there fries? Where were my vegetables? Could it possibly be these pale red cubes on my plate? After I finally managed to flag down the waitress, she explained that those were beets - those were my vegetables. I thanked her for her explanation & decided to suck it up & try it.

The unseasoned boiled beets were lukewarm & flavourless, the hamburger steak was dry, coarse, & despite being smothered in sauce, also flavourless. I was so put off that I didn't even try the fries. Despite being a thrifty gal with a big appetite & enlisting the help of my table-mates, more than half the plate remained untouched. This place is a vibe, so sure, come here… but do not get the hamburger steak.

Really disappointed, came here for the first time, to get breakfast to-go. The guy at the door was really rude & talked down to me. Then basically told me I couldn't order food to-go because I had a coffee from the coffee shop next door.

So many times passing nearby & I never stop. So now it's time to try it. Lot of people talked about their poutine, but I'm also a burger guy. So... a burger & a small classic. The Maximus was solid, heavy & tasty. Patties (2) a bit dry, but still very good. Poutine, made with homemade fries, was very good. I like my poutine with a lot of sauce, when the last fries still had sauce left to cleaned it with. & dripped of the fries.

The poutine & smoked meat sandwiches were good but we got better at other places but still a good option for the price. The place was a bit busy so it took kinda longer to get our food & bill. Staff was kind & attentive though. They spoke perfect English & French

Je donne 3 étoiles à leur poutine. Elle est ben correct mais pas particulièrement impressionnante & je suis difficile ! Le fromage est relativement frais & il essaie fort de squick un peu avec un peu de difficulté, la sauce est pas pire & les frites sont correctes mais sans plus. Leurs rondelles d'onions sont vraiment bonnes bien crispy, le pogo l'était pas vraiment psr contre.
