We got the classic smoked meat sandwiches & the poutine. The soft bread is loaded to the brim with super tender & flavorful smoked meat & accompanied by tangy mustard. If you're visiting Montreal for the first time, smoked meat is definitely a must-try food, & Greenspot did it justice. Their famous poutine was fun & tasty as well. We got the small size, which was still plenty to share between two people. Despite being drenched in the hearty gravy, the thick-cut fries remained very crispy. The cheese curds had the right amount of'squeakiness' every Canadian is looking for & made for a delightful eating experience. You can't go to Quebec & not try poutine. The combination of fries, gravy, & cheese seems simple yet is surprisingly layered with the contrasting textures.
Greenspot is the spot for an unassuming, undeniably wonderful meal!

Excellente adresse pour de la viande fumée à Montréal. Le Green Spot est un classique du Sud-Ouest, avec une viande fumée savoureuse, tendre & bien assaisonnée, servie en portions généreuses. Le pain est frais, les accompagnements simples & efficaces, exactement comme on l'aime.
L'ambiance est authentique, sans prétention, & le service est rapide & sympathique. C'est le genre d'endroit où on revient pour le goût, la constance & le côté réconfortant.
Un incontournable pour les amateurs de smoked meat dans le Sud-Ouest de Montréal. Une valeur sûre.
Service & Atmosphere were great. Parking is the worst in this area. Heard this was one of the best spots in MTL for poutine sadly It's not….but the Hotdogs are great & the smoked meat was good. Avoid the chicken souvlaki, bland rice & underdressed salad & overcooked chicken. For a Greek diner I expected better. Poutine was mid, tasted more like Ontario style, bland & curds while plentiful were not squeaky. Great atmosphere & again amazing service. This spot is def best for Steamés & probably awesome for breakfast. The fountain coke is super good at this place.
Great diner, perfect smoked meat sandwich. Prices are a bit high, but what else is new for the area. went at 11am on a Saturday & got sat right away. Iconic place!
Viemos conhecer esse tradicional restaurante em Montreal. Atendimento rápido e muito simpático. Conheci a cerveja Boreale Rousse e adorei. O sanduíche smokedmeat estava delicioso. Adoro comer poutine e o deles também estava ótimo. Acho que vale a pena e, com certeza voltaremos.
I heard about this place for a while & decided finally to give it a try. We were really hungry so we opted for the smoke meat & the pizza. Surprisingly ,the person in the phone didn't ask what cut for the Smoked Meat we wanted, the sandwich was ok, nonetheless. The pizza itself was a little bit too salty. We are not sure if we will be back
Got the smoked meat sandwich & the grilled salmon. There's 2 for the price of 1 on beer 🍻 during happy hours. The food was amazing ! Will be back again.

We had hot dogs, pepperoni poutine, smoked meat sandwich & a sub sandwich.
The sub sandwich took forever forever forever to come - the waitress apologized twice for the delay - so I wouldn't recommend ordering - it's just a big smoked meat sandwich anyway.
The smoke meat sandwich is deceptively small - the bread is like a fig leaf on the meat. Eat one for lunch & you don't need dinner. The meat was delicious & tender. Recommend.
The pepperoini poutine was really good. Very generous portions.
Here for a few days & was referred to this restaurant. The experience is one for the books & will definitely recommend it to anyone in town looking for comfort food! Our waiter Cody helped to make the experience pleasant. Food was great too! Bacon was cooked to perfection & the smoked meat was flavourful.
Finally tried out Greenspot Restaurant, an old school diner institution, known for their breakfast & poutine. - The house combo ($16.25) - smoked meat, crepe, bacon, ham, sausage, beans, toast & hash browns. Nothing memorable, heavy - Grilled cheese ($7.45) - meh. Skip it - 2 eggs with ham ($11.25) - standard fare - BLT with egg & cheese ($10.75)

I ordered the smoked meat omelette & chicken brochettes, & both were exceptional. The omelette was perfectly prepared, loaded with flavorful smoked meat, while the chicken brochettes were juicy & perfectly seasoned. The nostalgic charm of the restaurant, combined with its decades of culinary tradition, makes it a must-visit for anyone craving a classic, satisfying meal. A timeless Montreal treasure!

This is the spot for a great Montreal Poutine. The best gravy in town! Sandwiches are great too, I usually take the smoked meat sandwich. Service is pretty good (although a bit slow at times because it's always super busy!) & the vibe is awesome! It takes you back to the good old days. Totally recommend.
Classic Québécois diner serving wonderful poutine (27 varieties) & smoked meat sandwiches among other classic diner eats. The Classique is a perfect poutine with dark rich gravy & perfectly squeaky cheese curds. Best gravy in town. I would recommend the medium smoked meat sandwich also. A must visit when in Montréal.
