Our first time & really loved our overall experience, our water was always filled & our waiter Johnny always checked up on us. So far this was the best duck magret I've ever tried. The alabama oysters were very meaty! Price point matched the service & quality of food.
Everything was good, but oysters were prob the star of the show for me. The oysters tgemselves so fresh & tasty, the vinegar w pepper, the HOUSEMADE HOT SAUCE 🤯best i ever had i cannot believe they dont sell it.
Great service, full restuarant but water was always filled.
The duck was very good & i would recommend it for a main for sure!
Volume is prettyvloud at peak hours but manageable, maybe not the best for a first date spot in that regard.
This was another great dinner - brought a newbie with me & he was blown away - no misses here on the menu - but above & beyond the great food, the service was a few notches above excellent - well done to Liam for the guidance, the recos & frankly just a great attitude, you made the evening that much better ! Easily the best fish dish i've had in years (fluke) - mind blown. I always come back, my friend will be back & TY to the whole team for keeping it at such a high level all these years.
PS: The Oysters (Summer Love) were outstanding.

This was my first visit & I was extremely impressed. Came out for dinner with my wife. The staff was extremely nice, polite , professional & efficient. The food was unbelievable. I don't usually rave about a place but everything we had was delicious. From the brioche bread. The oysters, tuna crudo & the beet salad as appetizers. Main dish was the duck & the bolognese pasta was incredible. Definitely recommend! My compliments to the chefs & the staff. Keep up the great work !
Tuck Shop feels less like a restaurant & more like being welcomed into someone's warm, modern kitchen. The whole staff radiates ease & hospitality, from the kitchen to the bar where Laurence guided us with charm & precision-she was attentive, informed, & genuinely kind. Oysters with house-made hot sauce & a pristine scallop crudo opened the meal perfectly. Then came fried mushrooms & roasted turnips-an umami revelation dusted with nori & kissed with kombu sauce & tartness from green apple. Turning a turnip into a showstopper takes serious talent.
The poule ballotine was deeply flavored, the onglet de boeuf precise & bright with chimichurri. Desserts-a coconut cream pie & a chocolate-coriander pairing-sealed the evening with quiet brilliance.
Refined, intimate, & confident, Tuck Shop is what every neighborhood restaurant should aspire to be.
Wonderful evening at Le Tuck Shop in Saint Henri Server was as personable as he was professional - he knew his stuff. The place was pretty busy given it was a Monday night. Ate on the terrasse while the weather still permitted it. Terrific evening. Among the dishes we enjoyed & shared were fried zucchini blossoms, with feta, tzatziki , Northern New Brunswick Oysters, Braised beef medaglioni & smiked rainbow trout (delicious).
My favorite restaurant in Montreal. Wonderful food, amazing staff & an modest chef/owner spending most of his nights shucking oysters. High end food in a casual atmosphere. Truly a treasure! Oh, & an honourable mention to the desserts made by the chef/owner's mom.
The only thing negative I have to say about this place is that it has become very loud. The music could be turned down significantly, Which would make conversation easier.
I never understood why this restaurant doesn't get mentioned more on top Montreal restaurant lists.
My husband & I had an absolutely delicious meal at Tuck Shop. We sat at the Chef's Table, which is always a fun experience for a restaurant to offer (I love an open kitchen). Gabriel, our server, was very attentive - as was the bartender & the rest of the staff. The food was incredible, & all was plated SO beautifully - Michelin star level plating. We started with oysters, & loved their specialty hot sauce that they had on the side. We then split the grilled octopus (which was so tender & not at all chewy like you sometimes get), the pork belly (which came in the most incredible sauce), the Duck Duo (yum!), & the Chocolate Nemesis dessert - which was the only thing I managed to take a picture of. We left with very happy stomachs. Highly recommend!
