About

Tre Colori focuses on the preparation of traditional Italian plates centered on authentic dough recipes and fresh tomato sauces. The menu highlights hand-stretched pizzas baked in high-temperature ovens to ensure a crisp, charred crust and bubbling cheese finish. House-made pastas pair with savory meats and garden vegetables to maintain a consistent regional profile across the entire selection. A dedicated emphasis remains on sourcing simple ingredients to emphasize clarity of flavor in every served dish. Patrons observe an open kitchen layout that showcases the assembly of classic regional recipes in an efficient and controlled manner. The atmosphere relies on minimalist decor that directs all attention toward the plate. This establishment prioritizes culinary technicality over ornamental flourishes, ensuring a reliable execution of time-tested favorites for all guests seeking genuine flavors.

Review Summary

Tre Colori offers a long-standing dining tradition in Chambly that evokes strong, polarized reactions among its patrons. Many guests celebrate the restaurant for its warm, family-oriented atmosphere, authentic Italian flavors, and high-quality ingredients, often highlighting the delicious pizza, fresh pasta, and professional service as reasons for their continued loyalty over many years. Conversely, other diners report significant frustrations, frequently citing concerns over inconsistent food quality, sudden price increases, the removal of half-portion options, and an atmosphere that can become excessively noisy. Experiences with service appear equally varied, ranging from highly attentive and welcoming to disconnected or rushed, particularly during busy periods or group events. While some view the establishment as an essential local landmark with a rich history, others feel the experience has declined, pointing to issues with table density, restrictive reservation policies, and perceived discrepancies in value, leading to a divide between those who cherish it as a favorite destination and those who choose not to return.

We had such an incredible experience here! We came as a large group at the last minute, & despite the short notice, the staff welcomed us with open arms & made us feel right at home. The service was warm, attentive, & genuinely exceptional from start to finish.

The food was absolutely phenomenal every dish was fresh, authentic, & bursting with flavour. The portions were incredibly generous, & the quality of every ingredient really stood out. To top it all off, the house-brewed wine was outstanding & paired perfectly with the meal.

It's rare to find a place that delivers amazing food, outstanding service, & such a welcoming atmosphere all at once. We can't recommend this restaurant enough & will definitely be coming back. If you're looking for authentic Italian food & hospitality, this is the place to be!

Sadly, the food was gorged with oil & not at all quality italian food. Taking into consideration the poor quality of the food it was way overpriced.

Worst restaurant experience ever. Bad food, bad service & bad atmosphere. I had the worst small pizza ever for 30$ in a « Italian » restaurant. If you want to spend too much & not having a good experience you are more than welcome to try it. For me they are trying too much to look fancy & be overpriced but the quality is not there.

I recently visited Tre Colori & had a pleasant experience overall. The food was very good - fresh, tasty, & nicely presented - though it didn't feel particularly unique or memorable compared to other Italian restaurants in the area.

The service was polite & friendly, but it was a bit slow at times, especially during busy moments. Nothing too frustrating, just something that could be improved.

Overall, it's still a solid spot for a nice meal, & I'd definitely consider coming back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tre Colori - The Definition of'Fine, I Guess'
If you've ever sat in a restaurant & thought,'I could have probably done this in my pajamas with a microwave & a dream,' then Tre Colori is the spot for you. It's not a disaster, but it's certainly not a destination.
The Bread & Appetizers
We started with the classic'Midsize Italian Restaurant' starter kit: that heavy, frozen loaf that's been nuked until it's hot enough to melt lead but remains entirely tasteless. It's the kind of bread that sits in your stomach like a brick for the rest of the night.
The'Buffalo' Caprese: They claimed it was Buffalo mozzarella. My taste buds-& anyone who has ever been to a Metro grocery store-would disagree. It had all the hallmarks of a Saputo plastic tub special.
The Meatballs: These were'homemade' in the sense that they were made by a human who seemingly has a personal vendetta against spices. Decent size, sure, but they clearly skipped the Parmesan or Romano in the mix. It was just... round meat.
The Calamari: Surprisingly, the highlight of the starters. It wasn't too oily. It didn't change my life, but it didn't ruin my night either.
The Main Event
I went for the Veal Parmesan with Spaghetti Meat Sauce.
The veal was actually quite tender, which was a pleasant shock to the system. However, the spaghetti meat sauce was a bit of a tragic affair-very watery &'meat-adjacent' at best. I spent most of the course hunting for the actual beef in the sauce. It was less of a meal & more of a soup with noodles.
The Verdict
The one true standout was our waitress. She was genuinely very nice & likely the only thing keeping the place afloat.
Will I go back? Probably not. It's the kind of place you go to once, shrug your shoulders, & then forget exists by the time you hit the parking lot.

Tasteless oily food.....We were a small group, while the restaurant was not busy, the only waitress was unatentive very busy doing something else. Ordered calamar, got very oily & elastic.... yakiii. Then the main dish haddock/sole fish came very oily, no taste, with the accompanying pasta/pesto, again very very oily tasteless....following we had infernal indigestion, quite pricy $$$$ for the terrible food. This restaurant has to get rid of the chef ASAP....pity the restaurant setting is gorgeous....for an italian restaurant it should enhance this pricy tastless food !!!!!

Hi everyone,

If you are looing for a cozy nice Italian restaurant, you found it!

Friendly staff answering all questions, even sharing a good laugh, food well-cooked, well-prepared, well-served, I just mention it was for the birthday of a friend & when the dessert arrived, happy birthday written on the plate with sparkles, wine selection is good.

I just cannot say anything negative!

Enjoy!!

Ciao 😉

We had arancini wini & pizzas. The pizzas was super hard. Especially on the crust, my friend didn't like the taste of his chicken pizza. Wish they were a bit softer like the other Italian restaurants. Ambience & service was excellent. Will come again, but to try desserts & their pastas.

The staff was kind. However, As an Italian & a foodie - I highly do not recommend. The pizza I ordered was dry, over salty & honestly tasted like it came out the freezer. The other food at the table was also undercooked & under salted…. Surprisingly with how salty my meal was I could have salted their food with my own. The wine was also way too expensive for the taste.
