Une expérience incroyable. Des plats délicieux qui offraient une explosion de saveurs uniques. Un gros coup de coeur pour la truite & le flétan. Le service était exceptionnel & personnalisé.
Toqué is a high end restaurant. Perfect for business or romantic anniversary. Service was impeccable & the ambiance was great. Food was disappointing for the price though I took the tuna & i thought it was not worth the price. Tuna quality was great but the sauce was tasteless & i had to take out my glasses to find the veggies in my plate. I came out hungry.
Never get full in toque order. A la carte is like tasting size. But the service is good & wine list is nice. The lamb cut is not recommended at all as the fat on top not crispy with chewy ligament.
Toqué! was an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish! The staff was warm, attentive, & made us feel truly cared for throughout the whole meal. The cozy yet elegant ambiance tied it all together.
Everything we ordered was amazing, from the scallop to the steak. But the duck confit deserves its own spotlight. The meat was tender, moist, & not at all greasy. The skin was crispy, adding that perfect savory crunch. Each bite was rich but balanced, & you could tell the quality & care that went into every step of its preparation.
But the true highlight for me was the dessert. Not only was it stunningly plated, but it tasted even better than it looked. Layers of texture & flavor that played together beautifully. I still miss that exact taste of jasmine tea & yogurt crémeux.
Every single dish we ordered was memorable in its own way. Toqué! isn't a cheap meal, but it's one of those rare experiences that's worth the money for all the senses, imo. Easily one of the best culinary experiences we've had in Montreal.
Absolutely amazing! The service was exemplary. Simon was gracious, attentive & accommodating. The sommelier was knowledgeable & willing to discuss wine choices. The maitre d'hotel was aware of everything that was happening. The food was a gastronomic delight. The wine pairings, close to perfect. This was a once in a lifetime experience.
The staff were very attentive, even from the message I sent when making my reservation. They also greeted me with a smile & courtesy after I arrived. I chose the seven-course tasting menu. All the dishes were delicately & beautifully presented & delicious. The waitress explained each dish clearly, allowing me to enjoy the meal. I usually pair my wine with wine, but unfortunately I had drunk too much the night before & couldn't enjoy the wine. As I was leaving, they even made a special Japanese menu rist for me as a gift, since I'm Japanese. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness. I'd definitely like to come back & dine here again when I'm in Montreal. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I visited this restaurant & tried their seven-course tasting menu, hoping to be amazed by their seasonal dishes. Unfortunately, I was disappointed & didn't notice the fall season ingredients. The presentation was good, but the serving sizes were a bit small. The service was amazing, & the staff were very approachable. The atmosphere was lively & enjoyable.
one of the finest dining experiences ever . food impeccable, service outstanding, , reserve a table & enjoy
Amazing. Wine pairing & courses enhanced each other perfectly. Amazing way to spend my anniversary. Service was above & beyond!
Having a dinner at Le Toque was one the highlights of my trip to Montreal. This restaurant truly live up to its reputation as one of Canada's finest destination.
Food: Each dish was a work of art, beautifully plated & bursting with flavor. The tasting menu showcased incredible local ingredients, especially the seafood & seasonal vegetable. The foie gras starter was rich & perfectly balanced.
Service: The staff was warm, knowledgeable, & attractive without being intrusive. They guided us through the wine pairings with enthusiasm, & it was clear they take price in what they do.
Ambiance: Elegant yet comfortable. The dining room has a refined, modern aesthetic with just the right level of intinmacy for the special evening.
Price & values: It is a high-end dining experience, so the prices are premium, but for the quality, creativity, & service provided, it felt well worth it. This is a place for celebrating & savoring.
Highlights: The chef's commitment to showcasing is impressive, & the wine pairing was spot on.
I've tried many establishments similar to this one, & unfortunately, this one was quite underwhelming.
We opted for the 7-course meal, but most dishes seemed randomly thrown together & not well thought out. There was no harmony of flavors, & most were bland. The only good dishes were the dessert & the steak main course-2 out of 7. The other 5 were extremely disappointing, & since they were all served at the beginning of the meal, it made for a depressing start.
The service was okay. Everyone was nice & friendly. Other than being nice, there wasn't anything special about the service. We had mentioned in our reservation that it was for a special anniversary celebration, but nothing was done to acknowledge it-not even a simple'congratulations on your anniversary.'
The ambiance was fine, & the drinks were good.
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. It is far too expensive for what they offer. The price would be justifiable if the food met the standards of other restaurants of this type, but here it seriously lacked flavor, ingredient quality, & creativity.
& before the owner resplies, yes, disatisfaction was mentionned to the staff members but nothing was done, just a simple'sorry it didn't meet your expectations'. Once again, nothing special about the service.
My husband & I ordered the $200/ person tasting menu. The appetizers were tasty. we were looking forward to an equally good main dish. However, the main course: beef steak was so tough that we had to return it. For replacement, they brought us a pasta dish.
First of all, the quality of the beef was so terrible, it is the worst steak I ever had in a fine restaurant. It is a shame that Toque served it to their customers. Secondly, the replacement pasta dish is not the same value as the beef steak. It is not what we expected from a high end restaurant. We will not be recommending this place to anyone who enjoys fine food.
Montreal staple, tasting menu was well thought out for the most part on the day we dined. Was a little disappointed to be served tuna twice in seven dishes- hence the 4 stars, especially considering the cost.
Wind pairing is highly recommended, well described & explained. Very knowledgeable.
Service was impeccable.
Un incontournable à Montréal pour les épicuriens. Belle liste de produits Québécois... Bravo !
Best meal & experience in Montreal. Highly recommend tasting menu.
