Had a great night at The Keg Downtown! The Rib Steak was absolutely perfect - juicy, flavorful, & cooked exactly right. The Tuna Tartare wasn't my favorite appetizer, but everything else made up for it.
Update:
Tonight was my girlfriend's birthday, so we went to this restaurant. Our waiter was Jason. After I told him it was my girlfriend's birthday & I wanted to order a cake, he said he'd bring one as a surprise. I only asked for a candle on it. He told me not to order it myself. Unfortunately, he never brought anything & just handed me the bill. This ruined our once-a-year birthday night & really embarrassed me in front of her. I'm writing this to let you know I come here at least weekly-whether for drinks or their incredible steaks-but one unprofessional waiter has completely ruined my night & my view of this restaurant.

I loved my prime rib sandwich. Soaking it in the jus was so insanely good. The three cheese butter with our starter bread was so good. My fiancee ordered a filet mignon which came very underdone for what we asked. Thankfully, our waiter noticed as he checked in, & fixed it for us. Delicious. They comped our drinks & gave us free dessert after. Great save. Good service, delicious food.
Love going to the keg. Took my nephew for dinner. We both had steaks (filet/ prime rib), which were awesome. Shrimp cocktails were great. First time having steak tartare at the keg - wasn't impressed. Also avoid the high tops in the bar. The booths are too low for the table heights.
Had the prime rib sandwich. Top notch! Quite a steep price, but it's smack downtown Montreal so I guess there is a premium on that. But at least the food was excellent.
I've been here several times, all of them are decent experiences. Prime rib is soft & I feel like it melts in my mouth, & cheesecake makes my night refreshing. The fall featured braised short rib is so far my favorite dish.
Amazing experience for my birthday dinner party on Friday night. Everything was perfect. The ambiance is cozy & fun, the food was absolutely delicious (had the beef rib with au jus sauce & lobster tail). Great selection of wine, we fell in love with the Italian Zinfandel.
The best part was the service from our waiter Vincent who did everything to make us feel welcomed & special. He is friendly, professional, very generous of his time & he knows when to be present & entertaining & when to be discreet.
3 hours of pure fun

Eric was our server & amazing sense of humor & very professional. We both enjoyed prime rib sandwich with ceasar salad 🥗 😋 at table 315. LOL 😆 🤣. I would strongly recommend this Keg & sitting on the patio.
We dined at the PVM location early evening, Sunday, Aug 31. As usual the restaurant atmosphere & staff were great. Mt sister & I ordered the prime rib, medium, with baked potato. The cook was a shade past medium, no pink in sight, but the meat was tender & flavourful. The baked potatoes were a tad crusty, but butter & sour cream to the rescue. Oddly enough, the onion crisps that accompany the meal seemed even crispier than usual. The bloody Caesars we had were excellent, as was the wine my niece's partner ordered. Billy Miner came through as always. The server & her helpers were all professional & helpful. The glitches were minor & not worth complaining about to our server. All in all yet another great experience at The Keg. Just a few small issues to look at, but no game changers.
Our recent visit to The Keg in Montreal was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding-the staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. The highlight, of course, was the food. We ordered the prime rib & the filet mignon, & both were sensational. The prime rib was a masterpiece of savory flavor, cooked just right & so tender. The filet mignon was equally impressive, perfectly seasoned, & incredibly juicy. If you're looking for a great steak & a welcoming atmosphere, lunch or dinner this is the place to go.
My filet mignon 7 Oz was very good & medium rare just right. The veggies did not seem as exciting as the monte Carlo potato. Did not venture to seafood but steak & meat were very good. Prime rib did not & was cold. & the salad appetizer called a wedge was drenched in ranch dressing. But presentation & bacon bits were good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Keg. The prime rib was recommended by the wait staff & it didn't disappoint. It did take our table of four nearly 4 hours from sitting to paying. The wait team took extremely long periods of time between checking on our table of four. The weather was amazing (July) & the outdoor seating made the wait more tolerable. We will eat there again.
Professional & good service, good steak & & good baby back ribs . prices are reasonable for the quality. Btw Amazing New york striploin, one of the best I ever tried but the Caesar salad wasn't good at all & the calamari was all batter. Amazing experience , I had forgotten how good it was actually
Our server was very nice & knowledgeable. There was a tendency to be a little pushy with promoting more drinks & desserts which was a little annoying. Food was great however. The ribeye was remarkably delicious. However, the first one came out not at the temperature I ordered which was frustrating.

How can you not love the best prepared meat in town, personally we come here for the prime rib but the rest of the cuts are superb, the T-Bone is worth a try, delicious, & the bacon wrapped scallops were so juicy with a hint of sweetness i swear I could have eaten 2 plates of just that, we go often to the Keg, you can always count on the most perfectly cooked piece of meat you'll ever have. & gotta order the tuna tartare, I always get that to start, so well prepared, absolutely packed with flavor, the only problem was the music, it was so loud i had to scream at my guests & I couldn't hear my husband who was sitting right next to me, I asked the manager to lower it but I'm not sure I noticed a difference, my throat hurts from yelling at my guests for 3 hours this is why I removed the atmosphere stars, there is no reason for it to be like a club loud or a bar, it's a dinner, I want to talk normally & be able to hear my guests, this was a major issue for me.
Everything on our plates were barely room temp (prime rib, twice baked potato, etc) - definitely sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Also gave us both food poisoning at night.
The hostess status with a server that had a very large party & we were in a little booth & it was very very very loud & the more they drank the louder they got, We couldn't even have a conversation & it was just two, My husband ordered prime rib medium rare came out rare had to go back there to put it on the grill, My ribs were good.
Every time I come here always have a great experience, service & food is top notch!! Getting the rib eye cooked "Chicago style" is my favourite. & this place does it so well. Thank you.
