When you hear'The Keg,' you expect the steak to be perfect every time, but unfortunately that wasn't our experience at this branch a few months ago. The steak was cooked incorrectly at first, although I do want to say the waiter handled it very professionally & had it replaced right away. The issue was that we were a big group, & the replacement took such a long time that everyone else had already finished eating by the time our steak arrived. It just didn't feel right having to start our meal when the rest of the table was already done.
Also, the quality of the meat itself was not what we expected from The Keg. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for all of us & I personally wouldn't go back again.

Ordered the rib steak (20oz) because I had an amazing rib steak here years ago. It was not what I remembered it to be. It was too fatty, & the quality of the meat wasn't good compared to the Striploin (the 5 other people I went with all ordered steaks & they all praised how lean the meat was).
The garlic mashed potatoes & mushrooms were over salted.
We visited The Keg Steakhouse for my birthday, & it turned out to be a great choice for a special occasion.
We shared a mixed platter of meats (often referred to as a'Keg platter'), which included a selection of steak cuts such as prime rib, filet mignon, & sirloin. The meat was delicious - well cooked, tender, & full of flavor.
What stood out even more was the service: the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, & made the whole experience feel welcoming & enjoyable.
Overall, a very solid steakhouse experience, combining high-quality meat with excellent service. Highly recommended, especially for a special occasion.
Our experience was top notch. Our server was Rudy, & the dining room manager Nigel made a point of ensuring we felt looked after. Everything was absolutely worth the price. We're from out of town, we run a restaurant ourselves, & our expectations are pretty high. We also have allergies & French isn't our first language. We got the steak platter with a couple add ons & a bottle of wine. When I got lost leaving the bathroom, I let Nigel know & he immediately, by looking at me for a split second, knew where I needed to go. That's great customer service. Thanks guys!

My husband & I arrived a bit early for dinner after reading so many great reviews & were really looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed. The steak was average & didn't quite live up to our expectations for a steakhouse.
I went to The Keg Steakhouse in Montreal for my birthday dinner & absolutely loved both the food & drinks. It's easily one of my favourite spots for celebrating special occasions. The portions were generous, & everything was flavourful & satisfying. The atmosphere felt warm & inviting, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for the quality, service, & overall experience, it's completely worth it.
A lively stop for cocktails after our concert was unexpectedly cancelled.
The bar was full of fellow concertgoers, so while the mood started off a bit subdued, the staff did a great job lifting the energy & reminding everyone the night was still young. The Keg Steakhouse + Bar remains a reliably great choice - consistent, welcoming, & easy to count on no matter the location.

The steak tartare was disappointing. It was overpowered by parsley & the portion was very small. The scallops with bacon were a decent size, but the quality of the scallops did not impress.
The rib steak was good. On the positive side, the wine pricing was fair. I ordered a Barolo I know well & it was about double retail plus a small markup, which is reasonable for a restaurant.
Service was excellent & easily the highlight of the evening.
I would go back, but not in a hurry.

Food is excellent.
Service was nice.
Delivery of food was slow. Our sauces had a film from drying out. Our steaks were not warm. Still delicious though!
This picture is a 56 dollar steak that I was served. It was dark in the restaurant but to me it looked almost raw. I ordered medium well done. I took it to go & enjoyed the potatoes & mushrooms. I threw it out though as it just looked & tasted raw with NO salt or pepper. The drinks were great! Take a look!
Had a great night at The Keg Downtown! The Rib Steak was absolutely perfect - juicy, flavorful, & cooked exactly right. The Tuna Tartare wasn't my favorite appetizer, but everything else made up for it.

Tonight was my girlfriend's birthday, so we went to this restaurant. Our waiter was Jason. After I told him it was my girlfriend's birthday & I wanted to order a cake, he said he'd bring one as a surprise. I only asked for a candle on it. He told me not to order it myself. Unfortunately, he never brought anything & just handed me the bill. This ruined our once-a-year birthday night & really embarrassed me in front of her. I'm writing this to let you know I come here at least weekly-whether for drinks or their incredible steaks-but one unprofessional waiter has completely ruined my night & my view of this restaurant.
Notre serveur Mathias était exceptionnel. Encore une fois, la nourriture était extrêmement délicieuse. Dans mon livre à moi, le Keg, c'est le meilleur Steakhouse. En bonus nous avons eu leur fameuse tarte glacée comme dessert de fête pour ma fiancée & une autre pour la fête de notre amie! Quelle soirée remarquable, nous allons clairement revenir.
