On October 4, 2025, we booked out the entirety of The Farsides to host our WEDDING!! It was an absolutely amazing day & our guests are still raving about the event months later.
From the minute we got in touch with Patricia (& shortly thereafter Karina), we knew that this venue was the right choice for our wedding as it fit our vibe aesthetically, had great food options, & prioritized our requests as the guests of honor for the day. Patricia & Karina worked with us for a year & a half, through countless emails, phone calls, & site visits, to ensure that nothing would slip through the cracks & the event would go off without a hitch. It truly is because of their dedication to service & planning that made us feel so confident the entire time leading up to & throughout the wedding day.
A huge shoutout to the entire Farsides team including the bar/wait staff, the kitchen (!!), & Joyce, who all ensured that our day was more special & magical than we could have imagined. The kitchen staff went above & beyond accommodating our guests dietary requests, including modifying items from the menu & ensuring we had a peanut-free event. From food at the cocktail hour to the dinner reception, our guests were well-fed & bring up how delicious everything was.
We will never forget the love, care, & attention we received from The Farsides team on such an important day in our lives. We cannot say thank you enough & can't wait to be back again soon.
Myriame is so wonderful she knows what she's doing amazing bardende
My friends & I were so excited to celebrate a birthday at The Brunch Club's first ABBA Themed Boozy Brunch at The Farsides in Montréal. The restaurant's design & atmosphere are absolutely beautiful-credit where it's due, the space is fantastic & sets the scene perfectly!
However, save yourselves the $85+ per person (plus tax!) because the experience was a complete disaster.
The Service S.O.S.
• Rude Welcome: We were first met by a staff member who was quite rude when checking our booking barcode. Not the warm welcome you want for a pricey event.
• The Meal Mix-Up Mayhem: We had pre-selected our meals well ahead of time, as requested. We were told our food would be'coming out any minute.' Instead, our order was clearly mixed up (which was admitted), resulting in a 30-minute delay for the first plate to arrive.
• A Lone Meal: After that 30-minute wait, only one of the three meals came out. My friend & I had to wait even longer.
• STONE COLD FOOD: The final straw was my friend's Pad Thai arriving stone cold! She rightly sent it back. By the time her replacement meal came out, my other friend had long finished her plate. The remaining two meals were served a staggering 20 minutes after the first person had finished eating. We were celebrating, not having separate meals!
• Birthday Fail: I'd politely asked a member of the waitstaff about bringing out a cake for my friend's birthday celebration but it never appeared…2 hours later. I had also messaged the events organizers ahead of time.
The Farsides has a gorgeous space, & The Brunch Club is a fun concept, but the execution & service for this event were a total disaster. The disorganized kitchen & frankly cold food/service completely ruined what should have been a great birthday brunch!
Excellente découverte au Farside à Montréal ! 🍹🍽?
⭐ 2/5 - I REALLY wanted to like it… but it missed the mark. (BIG TIME!)
As a foodie, millennial hip-hop lover, & mom entrepreneur with Lao/Thai roots, I walked in excited for a night off from cooking & some good vibes - but sadly, it just didn't live up to the hype.
For our first visit - & a date night - we were seated all the way upstairs in a poorly lit corner, despite the place being FAR from full for a saturday night. The upstairs vibe felt flat & disconnected, which was a major bummer for a place known for its energy & ambiance.
The decor & our server were both nice, & the food came out relatively quickly after we finally placed our order - which took nearly 30 minutes.
But the real letdown? The drinks. We waited nearly AN HOUR for a cocktail, which didn't arrive until during our meal. We were parched... My'Painkilla' was overly sweet, barely had a hint of alcohol, & was overpriced for what it was.
As for the food: our pad thai was OVERLY salty, borderline inedible. When I told the young waitress the food was'just okay', there was no attempt to make it right or elevate the experience.
Also worth noting: my husband is lactose intolerant & not a fan of Thai kaffir lime or curry, so the menu didn't offer much for him either.
NOTE : This is not authentic Thai cuisine. Don't get it twisted. Want the real deal? Go to Thammada instead!
Overall, it's a beautiful space & the branding is very well done (I'll give them that! ) - but the service, food, & timing were disappointing. I walked in excited & left feeling let down. I really wanted to love this place... but it just wasn't good... I can't recommend it.
I attended a work event in this restaurant; it had been reserved for us entirely. The ambiance was fantastic, the food was good, & plentiful. They had a slight problem with quick bar service; they should have been more staff behind the bar for such a large group that we were.
But overall, it was a great place to host such an event.
Staff was friendly & helpful.
I'll go back to try as a normal restaurant experience one day.
Looking for a good Thai restaurant & this place was recommended.
But it was more of a bar & loud music with very little Thai food. Lol.
So we left & went to a real.Thai restaurant
Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there. We came here after dinner for drinks as we were told DJ played 90s r&b. It was a vibe & we had an amazing time. We hung out at the bar & danced the night away. Staff took care of us & would def recommend if you're a millennial 🤣.
The atmosphere was very cool. I enjoyed the music & the decor. It was unfortunate that despite making a reservation for two, over a week ago, they somehow didn't have a table for us. Annoying but whatever the bar was fine. The service was mid. It took a while to be acknowledged after we sat. The drink I ordered, a Mai Thai was not like any other Mai Thai I've ever had, & not in a good way. It was very carbonated & light. Mai Thais are a traditional drink, & they totally missed the mark on it. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't $18CAD. I made the mistake of ordering the Thai Basil Rib Eye for $59CAD. It was extremely fatty, & the plate had 1000 flavors going on, but none of them were Thai basil. The fries were good but very salty. This was supposed to be our big fun dinner out for our weekend in Montreal, & it was extremely disappointing. If you enjoy Thai food, don't be deceived cause this isn't it. If you want to look cool on Instagram & leave hungry, check it out.
Went with a group of 7 people. Service was excellent. Menu was a bit daunting with Thai Hawaiian fusion cuisine. We were offered a sharing menu for $65 per person. That offering was fantastic for the wide variety of flavours & menu items. Definitely a great sampler spread with something for everyone. Some items were a tad spicy & not for the lighter palettes. Drinks were beautifully present & cocktails tasted great. Would definitely go back & definitely recommend for a hip place with retro 80s, 90s 2000s hip hop vibes with great DJ. Went on a Friday night prior to Canada Day. Price was reasonable for the amount of food we got for 7 people. Honestly it could have fed 12 people as we were all more than full & still had leftovers to pack up in doggie bags. 7 people all with drinks & $65 per person sharing menu cost us about $650 tax in before tip. Remember to tip your servers as they would tip out bartenders & support staff. Great overall experience & not outrageous for the superb quality of service & food.
Cool spot, definitely on the pricier end. Went here a few times for drinks. Great atmosphere & service from servers/bartenders/doorman.
Great variety of delicious cocktails well worth going out of your way for. Very cool bar area to hang out in.
Belle expérience mais trop cher pour ce que c'est. L'ambiance est bien & on a eu un bon service assis au bar.
*Full disclaimer I'm not a big spender when it comes to food* We went for my buddy's birthday, & im my personal opinion, food is a little pricey for what you're getting, but nonetheless this place makes up for it, in other elements. I'm a sucker for a good drink & the Farsides has a crazy selection of cocktails; from the Funky cold mojito to the Long kiss goodnight, your pallets will be QUENCHED into tropical world of flavor. ALSO any sangria you pick is going to be a good choice! I was served by the beautiful Lorie, I love when bartenders aren't pushy, instead they let you settle in, make you feel welcomed. Actually check in on you, great sign of hospitality! Which leads me to my final point! Having a LIVE DJ is a win in my books, it shows the management cares to create a lively vibe as opposed to just playing a track.
the bartender that served me went above & beyond to make my experience the best I could possibly imagine. Dana has a way of making you feel so extremely welcomed & well, you want to make this place a regular go to spot on your list. The cocktails were a 11/10 thanks to our amazing barmaid. Thank you for the experience we won't be soon to forget xx
Vibes were nice but food tasted far too mediocre, borderline bad, for what you’re paying. Service was also super slow (50+ mins for food when there was barely anyone in the resto) but the server was nice so it’s more of a kitchen issue I imagine. I would consider coming back for drinks though as the cocktails tasted pretty good, although they were pricey
TLDR; paid 100$ for a cocktail, 5 pieces of braised pork (burnt & tasted meh), & green curry. All of which are cheap Asian staples that would cost under 30$ to make.0246974398934E+34;
The place looks amazing & the food is great. The restaurant turns into a bar/club at night & the DJ goes all out.
Really enjoyed my experience & definitely will come again.
