Had an amazing time at The Coldroom. Such a chill spot, tucked away with a cool vibe, good music, & just an easy place to hang out.
Huge shoutout to Luis behind the bar. He was incredible all night, super friendly, really knowledgeable, & clearly passionate about what he does. He took the time to chat with us, made great recommendations, & every drink he put together was spot on.
The cocktails were top tier, the service was genuine, & the whole experience felt effortless in the best way. Easily one of my favorite bars in Montreal. Will definitely be back.
If you haven't found The Coldroom yet - follow the duck. Ring the bell, head downstairs, & prepare to be impressed. Hidden in a converted cold storage warehouse in Old Montreal, this place has incredible vibes, seriously great cocktails, & some of the most knowledgeable & welcoming bartenders in the city. The kind of bar you bring every out-of-town guest to just to see their reaction. An absolute gem.
This place was soooooo worth the wait! The cocktails were super creative, the vibes we're immaculate, & special shout out to Millie for taking some time out to giving us some amazing recommendations for the rest of our trip. So far this is the best place we've been to in Montreal
Such a great space with delicious cocktails & an awesome speakeasy vibe! Cocktail bars can often feel pretentious, but the staff & atmosphere at The Coldroom made me feel so comfortable. Jeanne was the absolute best bartender I've ever had at a cocktail bar, so friendly & sweet! I'll definitely be coming back!

Really cool place to have a drink. A proper speakeasy style of bar with the door just being an emergency exit with no signage. Great signature cocktails & a huge range of Whisky's available.
Amazing venue, it had always been filled up to the brim whenever we come to visit, but finally made it inside after several years. Katharine was an amazing server, super polite, sassy, & attentive. The quality of the cocktails & massive selection was well worth waiting for. Will be coming back.
I very rarely leave reviews. But as a self proclaimed'cocktail guy' I have to say Milee was an incredibly knowledgeable & friendly bartender. The menu looked amazing but even without it, Milee came up with fantastic options that hit perfectly. I can't wait to go back home to tell them about the Cold Room & I hope Milee is there to give them the services I received as well. & you know this will be the first stop when I'm back in Montreal.
We LOVE The Coldroom! We brought a group of our friends here on Saturday night (who do not live in Montreal) & they absolutely adored the space. The drinks are amazing, the ambiance is a vibe, & the staff are so kind, accommodating, & always ready to make a recommendation.
We can't wait to come back & enjoy some more cocktails!

We stopped by after shopping in Old Montreal & were immediately drawn in by the dimly lit, romantic ambiance. The atmosphere set the perfect mood to unwind, & the mixology cocktails were exceptional - thoughtfully crafted & beautifully balanced. We truly fell in love with this place & would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great cocktail experience.
We've been at the Coldroom several times & it does not disappoint. Really exciting location & amazing cocktails. Only downside is that wait time can stack up easily on weekends.
I've visited this place twice already. The first time was with my boyfriend-we sat at the bar & had an amazing time. The second time, I went with my family, & they loved the cocktails. The service wasn't as good during our second visit, as I had to get up & ask for water for the table, but I understand-it was very busy.
This is truly a speakeasy. The entrance looks like a regular exit door: no name, just a ring, which I found fun, since the whole point of a speakeasy is that it's hard to find. Once they open the door, you go down the stairs & enter the bar through another door that almost looks like a cold-room door.
The place is simple, with brick walls, but they serve some of the most amazing cocktails I've tried in Montreal. The menu is adorable, with duck illustrations & well-detailed descriptions. My favorite drinks were Death Mark, Rice to Meet You, Internal Affairs, & Joe Peachi.
I'll definitely come back on my next trip to Montreal.

Speakeasy dans le Vieux Montréal. Ambiance très cozy... génial pour une date mais aussi très agréable avec des amis. Belle variété de cocktails originaux. Trouver cet endroit vaux le détour...
Est-ce qu'on va au Cold room pour l'émotion que donne l'entrée clandestine, pour le décor chaleureux dans les teintes de bois & de cuir, pour la qualité des produits qu'on y sert ou pour son équipe & ses propriétaires féminines ?

Le Cold room: pour un bon verre seule ou avec une amie, pour un cocktail en couple, c'est un incontournable coin St-Amable & St-Vincent (sonner à la porte noire marquée Sortie).
Petit bémol: la musique est parfois trop forte pour soutenir des conversations d'un côté à l'autre de la table. Assoyez-vous côte à côte pour profiter du décor & pouvoir avoir l'oreille de votre interlocuteur à portée de voix.
