But as a self proclaimed'cocktail guy' I have to say Milee was an incredibly knowledgeable & friendly bartender. The menu looked amazing but even without it, Milee came up with fantastic options that hit perfectly. I can't wait to go back home to tell them about the Cold Room & I hope Milee is there to give them the services I received as well. & you know this will be the first stop when I'm back in Montreal.
We had the BEST time. Jeanne is the most incredible bartender. The atmosphere is phenomenal & service is exceptional. We can't wait to go back. Xo
Came as a recommendation from the chefs at Le Mousso & we weren't let down. Fantastic atmosphere, great drinks, & Jackson behind the bar was super friendly & personable. Do everything you can to keep him there; first-rate bartender.
Very cool hidden bar at the old port of Mot real! Cute & creative menu- the bartender made me a drink which was not on the menu after asking what I liked- it was absolutely delicious & worth it! Great atmosphere underground with vintage style decor.
Really cool speakeasy craft cocktail bar with very skilled bartenders. It can be a little hard to find, but all you do is ring a doorbell & wait for staff to come & add you to a waitlist. In the meantime there is a pre-bar to the main bar next to the entrance.
I got the Smoking Gun, Joe Peachi, & then an Espresso Martini. & my sister & I both got their long sleeve T-shirts. They're all balanced & decorated well. The menu also has descriptions for each drink. & they have some non-alcoholic mocktails too!
It's got a very cozy vibe despite the juxtaposition of a boiler room/cellar aesthetic, & the bathrooms are pretty cool!
Also, I pulled Narita Brian in Uma Musume during her banner event with one roll, so you know this is a lucky spot! Definitely coming back next time I'm in Montreal & gets a big recommendation for all my Mixology friends.
First things first, press this doorbell for the bartender to come let you in (see picture). We absolutely loved this hidden gem. Bartenders were super nice & experienced. I asked them to make a gin based drink that was a bit fruity & mildly sweet & they delivered! We did the same thing when we asked for a shot so don't be afraid to ask the bartender to surprise you with an original creation.
One of our favorite speakeasies in Montreal. Secret entrance way (press the bell & wait patiently!), friendly servers, creative cocktail menu, & a very'cool' vibe - the perfect mix for a speakeasy!
Each drink is unique in its taste & presentation…it is always fun to try them all or just name your flavor note & the bartender can come up with a surprise.
The friendliest trendy speakeasy I've ever been to. Told the bartender my spirit of choice & the flavor I felt like & he worked his magic. Will return.
cool secret bar, found it by accident (saw people standing in line at the bar next door, also stood in line, turned out that this was the entrance to the "coldroom", great atmosphere, nice & pleasant bartenders, helped to choose suitable drinks for each of my friends, fast service, you can take a jelly candy from the bar (a small thing but nice) the menu is quite large (only cocktails) there are a couple of non-alcoholic ones $ 13-15, all the rest start from $ 17, different strengths, to be honest there are small minuses: 1. stuffiness, we were sitting in the bar in the basement & it was too warm there, it felt like there was not enough fresh air. 2. the volume of the music is disproportionate to the area of the room, from which your ears & throat quickly begin to hurt, since it is difficult to communicate with the interlocutor when you can not hear yourself. But if this does not bother you, & you want to pleasantly end the evening, this place is ideal
Terrific cocktail experience. Bartender had wealth of knowledge & was so helpful. The vibe was top notch.
Entering The Cold Room in Old Montreal, you're greeted by a vibrant & inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an exceptional night. The cocktails are a highlight, each one a testament to the creativity & skill of the talented bartenders. Their welcoming attitude & ability to tailor drinks to our tastes made the experience truly enjoyable. For anyone passionate about unique & expertly crafted cocktails, this spot is a must-try! Cheers🥂
