Our server (Pascal) was super sweet & engaging! She was fairly new (3 weeks) but had an amazing command of the food & gave great recommendations!❤️ the Chefs made some of the best Nigiri I've ever had... & the twist on dry ages meats was incredible! Definitely a MUST try place if you know good sushi & love fresh fish!
If you're searching for an extraordinary sushi experience, look no further than this gem of a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable-attentive, knowledgeable, & genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home. The sashimi was nothing short of spectacular-fresh, delicate, & bursting with flavour. It's been a while since we've had sushi that truly impressed us, but this place absolutely nailed it. As seasoned sushi enthusiasts, we can confidently say that this was some of the best we've had in a long time. If you appreciate top-quality sushi, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
We were visiting Mtl with our 16 y/o, who loves sushi. A friend recommended Hidden Fish to us & we were very glad that we took his advice. The service was on point & the servers themselves were very friendly. We were there for the Sashimi & it did not disappoint. It was very fresh & flavourful, with a beautiful presentation. I highly recommend!
Everything I had here was special. I ordered green salad, 12 pieces (6 kinds) of sashimi, scallop hand roll (temaki), & seared albacore Maki (8 pieces). Fish was fresh.... But also prepared very well. The waiter, Matthew, knows so much & helped me to choose. He is very knowledgeable. I loved this place. Absolutely recommended.
Sushi served here is out of this world. We enjoyed OraSalmon with truffle & Snow crab sushi!!!! Salmon noodles were also inventive. One of the best places to dine in for sushi in the city! We have dined at many of the top places n this one clearly takes the spot with its fresh n creative offering! Thank you!
Fantastic upscale sushi. Fish was fresh, sashimi was cut thick, & real Wagyu & wasabi. It's definitely on the pricier side, but a great experience non the less!

Love this restaurant. Small but great vibe. If you like sashimi, this is the place to go. Reservations are recommended, especially on the weekends. I came here for dinner. The sashimi platter was delicious. All the fish were so fresh. We also had the scallop sashimi & salmon noodles. The salmon noodles were ok. Not my favourite. The service was amazing. The waiter was very knowledgeable & very friendly. He made great recommendations.
This place is the definition of Japanese fine dining. The global experience was once that brought us back to Kamakura, a secluded Japanese village known for its majestic temples & hidden unpretentious sushi joints.to begin with, Mathew's service, knowledge & attitude are irreproachable. He sets the standards to what service should be. Secondly, the food's freshness is nothing we have tasted in canada up to last night. If I were to guess, The privately imported fish probably came all the way from Tsukiji Market. The simplicity of the recipes, contrasted by the exquisite presentation is something HF should be commanded for. No authenticity was lost among the explosion of flavours with every bite. To sum it up, as the Japanese explained to me, sushi is a delicacy that should be enjoyed & respected in its simplicity & is therefore definitely not an everyday meal. Hidden Fish chefs & staff thank you for a trip to Nippon through your exquisite & authentic cuisine. A first Michelin star should be on the table of discussion.
One of the better sushi places in Montreal. Very fresh & tasty fish. Wide selection that you don't normally find, all different types of toro. Reasonably priced sake selection as well. The only negative is that they won't let you order a side of sushi rice. It's the only sushi place that's not omakase only I've ever been to that won't serve you rice. Really weird.

The fish used to be fresh whenever i ordered in, & this is why I used to love this restaurant. Lately, however, I have ordered in a few times, & I am sad to say that the tuna did not look fresh & the white fish smelled funny. I am disappointed. I also went there in person & the person at the door was very rude & dismissive. He asked if we had reservations even though the restaurant was empty. I must point out though that our waiter was very nice, it's just the person at the door who was disrespectful. Nevertheless it is disappointing to see an establishment treating customers this way. Will not come back & will go to places where customers are treated with respect.
Had an amazing dinner with my husband here. Some of the freshest tastiest sushi I've ever had. Definitely recommend the torched albacore roll! We sat at the sushi bar & had a great time. Matthew, our server, was great at guiding us through the menu & giving good recommendations. Definitely recommend making this part of your Montreal trip!
Very nice lighting & decoration in the place for a lovely date. The food was fresh & described with precision, not to mention the whole experience is even more enriching.
The premium sashimi was fresh & delicious on top of the top notch service we had with our server made our experience a great one! We will definitely come back again :)
Service was attentive & respectful. Did not catch the waiter's name but he was knowledgeable.
Salmon noodle - refreshing & well presented
Premium 24 pc sashimi - fatty tuna texture was not good. It was fibrous causing the fish to get stuck in teeth as opposed to simply melt in mouth. The wagyu was well prepared, & better than what I had in Japan. Hamachi with the citrus emulsion was my preferred fish in the ensemble.
Uni from BC was quite fresh.
nigiri with scallop & foie gras - partner had it. She said it was fantastic. A bit overpriced in my opinion at $25 a piece.
Maki - ridiculously overpriced (triple to what I am used to paying) for the flavor. I wasn't impressed with this at all. The rice that came with scallop maki was hard. the Unagi torched maki was better, but partner found it too sweet.
Just way overpriced. Also, the payment machine did not allow for dollar amount tipping. Default option of tipping begins at 18%...Standard is 15% on the SUBTOTAL.
