Food is alright. For the price, you expect more quality & bigger portions since the menu seems so diverse… I ordered the Karaage as an entrée & it came much smaller than expected; almost the same size of mcdo chicken nuggets. Shushuto was a great experience. The moment you step in, you notice the classy ambiance with an almost candlelight like feel.
The service was amazing. Our server explained the entire menu & answered any questions we had. I was never out of water, & all of our needs were taken care of.
The food itself was delicious. The hot stone bowl experience was definitely new to me, so I put everything in the bowl. I later learned that it was more a dipping sauce & less of a soup. I believe the best dish we tried was the Khao Soi. It was incredibly flavorful, the broth was so rich, & the meat was so tender.
Overall, this restaurant was a great experience. It's definitely a high-end date spot if that's what you're looking for.Voir plus

We had a great evening at Shushuto with friends. The food was amazing (we started with fried chicken, edamame & scallops, had a bunch of delicious cocktails & ramen). Don't know what was better the food or the service (thanks Charles!). Definitely a place you want to hit up for date night or a night out with friends. C'est souvent le même problème lors de nos visites, le service est très lent. Ce soir, nous avons eu nos plats après 1h d'attente. Certes, le restaurant était occupé mais il serait bien de nous tenir au courant. En plus, comme je n'avais pas très faim, j'ai mangé très peu de mon plat que j'ai demandé à emporter. Je l'ai oublié en partant & je suis revenue à peine 3-4 minutes plus tard pour me faire dire que le serveur l'avait jeté à la poubelle… 4 minutes. & le restaurant n'était absolument pas sur le point de fermer, donc aucune raison de ne pas le laisser de côté juste au cas où nous revenions bientôt. Bref, autour de 30$ de nourriture à la poubelle, avec aucune excuse du serveur ou bien de solution (c'est le même serveur qui m'a débarrassée, donc qui a vu que ma portion était encore presque entière). Il a juste dit « je pensais que vous n'en vouliez plus » mais pourquoi on l'aurait demandé pour emporter alors Bref. Nous sommes allés autour de 5 fois à Shushuto depuis leur ouverture. Malheureusement, toutes les fois ont été décevantes principalement pour la lenteur du service. Nous avons ce soir été très déçus du restaurant & nous n'irons probablement plus malgré que ses consoeurs (Shushu poké & Shushu thaï) ont toujours fourni un excellent service.Voir plus
Drinks were perfect & so tasteful. I took a mocktail Sayonara Summer & my partner took the Tokyo sour. We do recommend both! Best karaage I tasted in mtl so far, so tender & juicy just miam. We also took the beef tapas which was as good as the karaage. It was a first trying the seasonal beef soup & I did enjoy it but next time I'll give a try to the cheese ramen. Will come back for sure. I ordered the TSUKEMEN AU MISO RICHE with the understanding that I would get to have a hot soup to drink. Instead, I was presented with a deconstructed ramen where I had to dip the noodles & steak into the broth. The broth was wayyy too salty to drink on its own, which I found to be disappointing. I would have loved to have been able to drink the soup on a cold winter evening. Apart from that, the service, sushi & drinks were divine. I would recommend this restaurant & would consider eating there again!Voir plus
