Despite being a regular customer, the old man who works there is consistently rude. I've never seen a business (especially a restaurant) gatekeep a restroom like him. I usually get my order & sit there to work on a few projects. Ofc, I have to use the restroom, I spend the morning drinking coffee (that I purchase there) & water. I have a weak bladder. I have never sullied the restroom. Once I blew my nose & forgot to flush. Old man, told me I left the washroom dirty, I didn't flush & made a big deal over just toilet paper. No urine, no nothing but toilet paper. He was RUDE about it. Another time he said that there was water all over the floor when I left. Impossible, unless after washing my hands, water dripped, from my hands onto the floor. So the floor was covered with water?? That guy over exaggerates & makes a big deal out of EVERYTHING! He's worse than dealing with a nagging woman. He works there & gets paid. Flush the tissue & mop the floor. Anything major, let me know & I'd be careful. But to make a big deal every time out of everything is stupid. He is rude & so much more. Careful, he HATES people using the restroom. You can tell how much he hates it when you ask.

I often pop in to get a coffee/snack while shopping in this strip mall.
Last I was there, I grabbed a coffee & walked out to go about my shopping.
About 15 minutes later had an URGENT need of a toilet.
The shop a door over that I was in by now didn't have a toilet, so I ran back to Second Cup & asked to use the bathroom.
She said it was for customers only, I explained that I had bought a coffee a mere 15 minutes prior & I was about to have diarrhea all over their floor…she asked for a receipt.
Who keeps a receipt for a coffee?
The poor girl explained that she'd love to let me use the toilet, but they are on camera & can be fired if I don't purchase something.
To avoid having an accident right there in front of the cash, I purchased a bottle of water (almost 4$!!!).
I get it, you're a private business & can choose to restrict the use of your bathroom…
But then don't be surprised if someone in my situation, who again had purchased something but simply chosen to leave the premises, feels that you lack humanity, compassion & common-sense.
Next time, a person might just have an accident in front of the counter…is that better for business (& your staff) than just giving someone the bathroom key?
How you treat people matters…you've lost a customer because of it.
I was kidnapped by my sister & brought to Second Cup even though she knows that I HATE coffee.
Aya, the barista, was incredibly friendly & made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. She recommended a Cinnamon Toast Latte & it completely changed my mood & exceeded expectations until I remembered that I hate coffee lol.
Amazing service, great attitude & definitely a reason to come back. Thanks Aya! Keep up the good work.
I've been to many coffee shops, & this one has been the worst experience for me so far. Personally, I didn't find it pleasant. During my visit, the afternoon shift workers were speaking & laughing very loudly, & I kept hearing the F word being used by the workers. It felt to me like they didn't care about the customer experience. This made the atmosphere uncomfortable for me, especially since I came to relax & enjoy my time.
Also, watch their responses to customer feedback. They accuse customers of lying instead of addressing their concerns, & they try to hide bad reviews by having the owner & their team give themselves five-star reviews to bury the legitimate negative feedback instead of addressing the issues raised. They even called my feedback'spiteful' & thought that sharing my disappointment about hearing his workers using the F word was'policing freedom' rather than legitimate customer feedback.
Please review their unprofessional behavior in relation to my feedback so you can understand what I'm referring to. An apology & a clear intention to address the situation would have been enough for me to remove it, but they chose to continue with the same unprofessional conduct.

I went to this Second Cup with my family & I absolutly loved my experience there. The service was super quick & really friendly. Not to forget that their coffee & was absolutly tasty! 10/10 recommend

Nice place to sit down & have coffee & their variety is nice to have for picky people. I always see young adults enjoying themselves here while studying.
Although second cup as a coffee chain is excellent & has great Canadian coffee, I will not be returning to this location. The staff was exceptionally rude to my sister, mother & elderly grandmother when they visited the location. I will be using other locations in the future.

I absolutely love this Second cup! The employees are all very nice & super friendly! Every time I go it is always clean. The coffees & pastries always taste good & fresh.
The coffee was really good the staff was very very friendly the place was clean however the Blueberry Scone tasted like it was frozen all of their muffins are wrapped up in plastic because they don't sell enough. None of the pastries are fresh I would not go back
This second cup is my safe space! The vibes are very nice for any work I need to get done. The staff are always so welcoming. The coffee is always fresh & exactly how I want it every time. The music is not loud so you can work calmly or have convos with your friends. Lastly, the staff really takes care of the cleanliness of the tables & the overall coffee shop. So no sticky tables! I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes coffee & nice vibes!
