Reviews describe Seau de Crabe as a lively, casual spot for seafood lovers, with fresh shellfish, generous portions, and a signature sauce that many diners keep coming back for. The hands-on dining with gloves and bibs adds a playful touch, and the staff is frequently praised for friendly, attentive service. Dishes ranging from shrimp and crab to lobster and mussels are consistently noted for quality and flavor, and buckets are often highlighted as good value for sharing. The experience can vary in practice, with some guests reporting long waits, occasional gaps in service or supplies, and a few issues with temperature or heating. Overall, the restaurant is regarded as a standout option in Montreal for a memorable seafood boil, and many guests say they would return and recommend it to friends, despite the occasional caveat about price or consistency.
I bought some takeout & very disappointed because the sauce which should be the heart of the food is just a small tiny box & not even enough for half bag of seafood. In other words, the rest of the bag is tasteless. The only thing I would recommend is their fries which is so crunchy. I would go back only for the fries & skip the expensive disappointing seafood.

My friend & I shared their holiday bucket & it was delicious! Definitely enough food for 2 & like no leftovers. Got their signature sauce (medium) which was also tasty! Not really spicy but still nicely flavorful.

Got the Ocean's bucket with rice & corn, signature sauce medium spice & it was delicious! Perfect to split between two people. Super fun experience digging in with gloves & bibs- definitely a must-try spot!
Really confused at first because I walked in at the counter with two workers just talking to each other & no greeting or acknowledge if my presence. This happened for a good minute until the one girl who was taking care of all the tables came & finally greeted me. Normally I would've left but it was raining & I wanted fried seafood. Then as the service went on I saw they were kind of trading turns working... it was interesting. It got so busy at one point that they all had to work at work... wild huh haha. Anyway, the food, the food was pretty good. It looked beautiful (check the pics) it was honestly like the most healthy tasting fried seafood I've ever had. The shrimps & chips were so crunchy (deliciously so) & they just had a not so salty nor greasy look, feel, & taste about them. I got the large portion & couldn't finish it all so took it to go. Also had sauces on the side like Heinz ketchup hot sauce, & two other dipping sauces. None were very salty nor flavorful to me strangely. Though I'm s fan of intense flavors & excellent service, I would overall recommend a visit to this place. It's like a healthy fried seafood or book spot. & prices aren't ridiculous. The meal cost me CAD$24 - CAD$34 after tax & tips & could've fed 2.
Their Dynamite shrimp used to have way more sauce & shrimps. This evening we order two portions of the dynamite shrimp & was absolutely disappointed with the new change. Same price for way less. Flavour is still good but not worth the money. -Renee
So accommodating the food is really taste good its not just the sauce. The taste gp deep inside the seafoods so its damn good. Surely will recommend this to all my friends
