The dining area is small but intimate & the service was attentive. We ordered the fried calamari & arancini for appetizers & the Cavatelli con Provola Affumicato, Ravioli con Manzo, & Gnocchi Tartufati for our entrees. The pasta was all homemade & my sister said the gnocchi was the best she's ever had (& I agree). The sauces were also fresh & full of flavor. The sauce on the raviolis is worthy of a special mention; it was almost gravy like & the mushroom wasn't overpowering. My only complaint is that I didn't save any room for dessert! I will definitely return to this hidden gem the next time I am in Montreal.
Bonne cuisine Ambiance agréable Service très amical & efficace Je recommande
Delicious dinner, pasta was fresh, tiramisu was cool & perfect ending to the meal, & the service was top notch. A delightful evening of excellent fresh authentic food!
We had an amazing experience in this beautiful cosy restaurant. The service was outstanding & the food was really delicious. Thank you for creating a warm & relaxing atmosphere. For a big party of 12 people it's not an easy task, but you managed it with ease. It was an important date & everyone will have a great memories of this evening & the ambience that was created for us. We are really grateful & definitely will be back soon.
Cute little place in Old Montreal. We got the arancini to start, good taste but it was cold in the middle which was unfortunate. The sauce also came cold, on purpose for some reason. We had the ravioli & mushroom pappardelle, decent portions for both dishes but nothing special. Bit pricey for the overall quality of food. Service was professional & pleasant. Wine selection was good. We didn't try dessert. Overall, we'd give a 7/10. Happy we tried it but likely won't come back.
Braised beef ravioli is so good! As are the Arancini. Every time we go, we always have excellent service as well. Love this place.
This place is great for dinner , Mario is a great man, the food we try was A1 . Will love to visit this place again. All i can say is The staff here truly cares about their guests. They were attentive, courteous, & polite. They made us feel like VIPs."
The food was amazing, I had pollo picatta al limone, our server was very professional, however assumed I wanted pollo Toscana so luckily I clarified otherwise I would have gotten a different dish. There's outdoor seating. The only issue is that the portions are tiny. It was just a chicken breast with some vegetables. I was still hungry so we ordered dessert, both the tiramisu & chocolate mousse, & they're outstanding! Best tiramisu I've had in my life!!
Wow, what a discovery! Facts: this is an Italian restaurant; it has an extensive wine list that complements much of the scratch made menu items. Notable differences from "other" Italian restaurants: the menu has a lot of off-the-beaten-path items (zucchini flowers as appetizers) as well as well-thought interpretations that transport you to Italy. The sauces are well simmered, so they develop a rich taste, enhancing the meats, fish or vegetables. We didn't have desserts, but the veal meatballs (with its Parmesan gratin & tomato sauce) & zucchini flowers as appetizers were well received, & the main courses of rapini sausage pasta (a bit oily, though), gnocchi & tuna plates were well executed. Don't forget to ask for bread to capture all the sauces that come with main dishes - it's a shame to waste it!
Delicious oso bucco & pasta! ❤️ owner is super nice. Great atmosphere.
This place is a hidden gem. Although the restaurant is small, it was phenomenal. The service is great & you can watch the chefs cook your food as you dine. I had gotten the chicken with sundried tomato sauce, which was phenomenal. We also shared the burrata, & my family got different meals like the gnocchi, & everyone loved their meals. The cappuccino was fantastic, too. It's also fairly quiet, which was a nice change of pace considering a lot of the last restaurants we visited were louder.
Wonderful staff, wonderful pasta. Very choiceful recipes, everything is good. Staff went above & beyond to keep up with our two year old & keep the experience.
Very very good Italian restaurant. Good food, good wines choice & good service with attention to details. Mario is the cherry on the top of the cake. Extremely recommended.
It's all about the food, or the wine, or the friendly service, or the tiramisu...I just can't decide. What a wonderful evening with Mario & crew, from the arancini & meatballs to the tuna & beef ravioli entrees; enhanced with a lovely Zinfandel & topped off with house made tiramisu.
Always a must visit when in Montreal. Mario & his team are fantastic! The food is next level & what an incredible atmosphere
Ideal place to go with your partner, the pastas are incredible & the customer service is excellent. I went a month ago & i was served by a very nice waiter, a Latin boy with short black hair, I think he is Peruvian, he was very kind to me, therefore I give the restaurant 5 stars for him.
