Ruby's Café Mtl is described as a warm, dog-friendly brunch spot in Montreal where the dog-centered concept and friendly, lively vibes are as appealing as the food; human and dog menus, with items like meatballs and pupcakes, are praised for quality and presentation, and the setting is bright, casual and welcoming. Reservations are often recommended, especially for weekend brunch, as the venue can fill up quickly, and staff are noted for kindness and attentiveness. Patrons appreciate the chance to socialize their dogs and meet other pet lovers, sometimes with a small outdoor area or dog-friendly spaces, while a few reviews note slower service during peak times or occasional miscommunications. Overall, the experience remains positive and many plan to return for the food and dog-friendly ambiance.
The food is AMAZING ! Everything is adapted for your dog. Such a cute experience. Try to reserve in advance or play with your dog in the dog park while you wait.
Human food was a bit pricey but service was quick & the doggy was happy with his pupcake. Then the nervous dogs showed up… that's when doggy said it's time to go.
Such a fun experience 🥹🥹🥹 seeing one of the dogs celebrate their birthday was so wholesome. My pup devoured her 2 meatballs in a second , however she didn't like the beer. Tasted some myself, I understandably agree with her taste 😂

Such a unique experience! 🐾
I brought my cat Sky, & she was the only cat there 😄 Everyone loved her, she enjoyed watching people & even interacting with dogs.
A small note: make sure your cat is social & always use a harness for safety.

If you are looking for an experience with attentive staff, good food & a beautiful historical building , this is where you want to be. I'm a recurring patron & the dogs love the atmosphere & their special menu, they recommend the meatballs.
We had an amazing brunch at Ruby's café. The food was delicious & good portion. We really enjoy the ambiance, chill & clean. Our dog was really welcome to the café where she got to meet new fur friends as well, so it was perfect for her social enrichment! It can get crowded so my recommendation would be to book a table in advance. Service can be slow when crowded, just be patient, the staff is super kind!
We went many times since it's almost the only restaurant for dogs, but the last visit wow us with the Valentine theme: the staffs were all in pink shirt, we got strawberries deeped in chocolate, our dogs got free cupcake & the staffs were so nice to help us with group photo's. We had an amazing time as well as our dogs. Been there many times, the food are good but we just wish they change their menu to make a change. Overall, very satisfied 😊
