It's usually so much better! We aren't weekly regulars, more like three or four times a year, with the family, twice a year in a big group, but this was by far a surprising disappointment.
Went New Years Eve before the gala. The steaks across the board were tough & charred. Same atmosphere, same awesome service, great drinks, the bisque & wedge salad were all great.
But the filets, sirloin & rib steak were all tough. Overbooked? Rushed? New chef? I dunno, but the five of us spent 1200.00 for dinners. At over 100.00 per steak, it should have been better.
We won't go back for a while.

The food was good, but not for the price in Montreal. We tried the chicken, & it was dry; unfortunately, maybe they could add more sauce. The service was perfect; they served us a drink because it was our anniversary.

The restaurant & cigar lounge both are nice. The food has always been great. Grilled octopus, calamari & rack of lamb are my favorite. You can bring your own cigar & the drinks in the cigar lounges are fantastic. Valet parking is available.

The moment you pull in & valet receives you, you know you are at the right place! The staff is elegant yet humble enough to make you feel like family. The atmosphere is cozy, classy, intimate & beautiful. The menu misses absolutely nothing! & if you have a request, rest assured, they will deliver! The drinks are crisp & delicious. All together, an absolute experience for all your senses! If you want to impress your date, this place is it! Can't wait to go back!
Ps- Our waiter was as amazing as the food! We laughed, shared stories & felt the genuine love.

We wanted a spot that felt grown, elegant, & just a little indulgent-& the cigar lounge at Rib N Reef delivered. The atmosphere was smooth & sophisticated, perfect for catching up, laughing way too loud, & living our best lives.
The service was next level-warm, attentive, & so on point. We never felt rushed, & every detail was handled with care. From the drinks to the ambiance, it was all flawless.
10/10 girls' night. Already planning the next one. 💃🏽✨

What. A. Night. Rib N Reef's cigar lounge turned our girls' night into a total main character moment. From the second we stepped in, Kyle the manager was on his A-game-checking in, making sure everything was perfect. Nihal, our waitress, was an absolute queen. Drinks came fast, service was flawless, & she made us feel like VIPs all night.
The vibe? Grown & sexy. The energy? Immaculate.
If you're looking for a spot to dress up, sip something smooth, & get spoiled with your girls-this is it.

If you're looking for the perfect girls' night spot-this is IT. The cigar lounge at Rib N Reef is classy & cozy with that bougie-but-chill energy we live for. Kyle went above & beyond to make sure our night was seamless, & Nihal was so sweet & attentive, you'd think we were the only table there. Between the great drinks, lush seating, & killer service, it was one of those nights we'll be talking about for a while. Already planning the next visit!!

Pour une première fois & la DERNIÈRE ce restaurant n'a absolument rien de spécial si ce n'est que les prix explosé dans le menu & le gratin qui se précipite pour y dépenser son argent

Steak or any of the plates are is NOT worth $100 + , you also need to buy the sides separately.
Appetizers not cheap either.
Dinner with 2 drinks each for a couple can be around $400 + Tax + Tip

First rate. I specifically chose them as apparently the only steakhouse on the Island grilling on real coal fires. Three of us shared a medium rare 34 Oz Porterhouse & two 2 lb. Maritime lobsters. Pommes Aligo & creamed baby spinach were delightful sides. Cold & grilled shrimp & delicately fried calamari served as appetizers. As my intention was to support Canada & Montreal we chose both white & red Quebec wines (ground $100 each) with the assistance of the knowledgeable sommelier. Desserts were Crème brûlée & crêpes Suzette, both perfect. After dinner drinks & smokes in the sophisticated cigar bar completed the experience. Service was perfect. Unobtrusive & respectful of our privacy, but ever-present to refresh our glasses & attend to our every need.
It was a flawless steakhouse experience from start to finish. Around $1200 CDN, but worth every Loonie for a memory that will last a lifetime.

Aujourd'hui congé avec ma fille nous somme venu pour profiter de votre magnifique terrasse eumh le serveur a été tellement méchant vulgaire impoli pour absolument rien j décider d aller au Moretti
Nous avons eu à peine le temps de prendre deux verre qu ll a commencé à chialier qu il était mécontent à nous servir sur terrasse a chialier a 80$ deux verres plus nos assiettes pouvons nous avoir une expérience déçu j payer & partie fâché accompagné de ma fille quel honte

Ont meme pas eu des excuses de la part du serveur un homme d un certain. Âge très agressif à boutt de sa job il faut croire ! Au prix & a l réputation de votre restaurant il faudrait avoir des serveur comme Nabil car vous alker perdre des clients imaginez vous a deux avec deux drinks ont étaient déjà a 80$ imaginez vous souper ect
Pis a ont été au Moretti Wellington & le service des notre arrivé jusqu'à la fin extraordinaire & piur bcp malheureusement moins cher

Onion soup was a disaster.very salty & not a great cheese.Soft drinks over priced at $6.00 a drink. Tea $5.00. Sides over priced for quantity. Baked potato & fries enough for two people but not worth 32 dollars. Roast beef was very tasty but the amount was small for a 14 oz portion. Veal was tasty but pasta needed more cooking. Beautiful presentation of Caesar salad. & quite tasty.but not cheap.

Very laidback steak house, good service, good consistent food. I've been going there for 15 years. The drinks are also really good drink & they have a good wine list. Why not fully 5 stars ? The valet parking... the restaurant is literally in a parking lot, just drop it or make them less agressive. I don't like people parking my cars & it's less convenient for me when I come with my kids. Every time it's a story of telling them I don't want valet ... I'm already in the parking I can get between 2 lines.

Beside the good food quality as i am a big fan of, this time i tried the cigar lounge, very nice private isolated place, just didn't like the admission fee if u bring ur own cigar, better to force the client to have a drink rather than the admission fee

They gave my white husband exceptional service while giving me none. When it came to pay & I was the one holding the card, they gave my husband the machine to punch in the tip instead of me. They knew they didn't give me any service. Barely spoke to me or refilled my drinks. The steak was severely under-seasoned. However, the roast beef was exceptional. Two stars.
