Every time I eat at this restaurant, I have a wonderful time.
The food is on a different level from what you can usually get in Montreal, from the amuse bouche to the dessert to the main course, everything is exquisite. & the service is really perfect, the service team is very attentive & pleasant. & the cocktails are great. If you really want to eat well & have a good time, this is the place to be.
We go to a restaurant of this calibre once a year. The service & atmosphere is exceptional. We had the 5 course tasting menu. The food is very good, however there was a significant difference in the cooking & subsequent texture of the veal tenderloin for my wife & I. Mine was tough which was my only disappointment for the night. The dessert was top tier. My wife got the cocktail pairing & I got the lowest tier wine pairing - both were impressively matched with their respective meals, however even I could tell the wines themselves were not of great quality & I don't drink much wine. If you are a regular wine drinker then I think you'd be disappointed with this tier & would suggest to get the mid-tier or higher tier pairing.
We stumbled into this restaurant on pure luck & really tired legs. Found a gem that was so delicious. The halibut was perfection. The risotto was a vegetarian dream. Save room for dessert. The chef must love what they do, & it is evident with every bite. We hope to go back before we leave Montreal.
Service A+++
This place was perhaps one of the best dining experiences I've had recently in Montreal.
I first had a mocktail, & wow what a mocktail it was. It had the right amount of kick & spice to make me not feel like I was just drinking juice. I asked the waitress to surprise me & she did not disappoint. That alone deserves a 25% tip in my books.
Before serving us the main dish, we were given a surprise'amuse-bouche' of arctic char. A single bite of heaven.
I had the filet mignon. I nicely asked to leave out the mushrooms. The blend of season vegetables was cauliflower, carrot, & onions, all perfectly cooked with a creamy delicious potato purée (aligot).
The meat itself was a very small portion, I will admit, but I somehow don't feel like anything was left out. They were two perfectly medium-cooked juicy slices of IPE beef. Well-done on the outside & hot-pink juiciness in the middle. Cutting each slice into 3 bites, with the vegetables, the purée & the majestic bordelaise sauce, I was satisfied.
I rarely indulge in dessert but I just had to try the pear cheesecake…
I can't describe it. It was so good that I had to make everyone at the table try it. It was sweet, smooth, with the crispy flavour of pear in the core. Just wow.
Was it expensive? If you're looking to fill your stomach with food, yes. But if you're looking to enjoy every bite & have a great time, then you could do a lot worse. This was worth every penny.
We were a loud annoying group of 8 that kept changing places with each other & sitting in an odd configuration at the table. The super professional staff tolerated us & treated us like royalty.
This was a perfect culinary experience. Bravo.
The restaurant is very mindful & pleasant. Attention to detail was excellent, the staff were kind, knowledgeable & attentive. From coat check to dessert. Thank you.
There is room for improvement on the menu. We had the five-course meal. The first course featured overcooked & dried-out tuna. The lobster was good, but the pasta was too salty. The tuna in the main course was chewy, & while the corn tasted good, it could only be eaten with your hands. The dessert was the best course. The staff were mostly friendly & welcoming, & the wine selection was quite good!
We went for the 5 course tasting menu & was very impressed with the quality & taste of the food. Very good choice of food with dessert being the best of all. Service was quick but not rushed. Walkable distance to many downtown hotels.
The ambiance was charming, & the wine pairing was expertly curated, perfectly complementing each course. The highlight of the evening was enjoying a decadent dessert in their cozy wine cellar, adding a unique & memorable touch to the meal. Highly recommend!
Wonderful hidden gem in Old Montreal area. The food is flavourful & well presented, desserts divine. Staff are attentive & friendly. Dessert & champagne in the Cellier is a lovely way to cap of the evening.
It was a delightful experience to have dinner here. Our friend invited us to eat here for the tasting menu. It locates in the heart of Montreal. The atmosphere here is cozy & lively. It gives us a great moment to relax. The staffs were attentive & knowledgeable which gave us an exceptional service experience. They provided excellent explanation & recommendation throughout the meal. We tried variety of dishes which came with different wine. They were complementing the meal perfectly. We had our dessert in the wine cellar which is one of the biggest wine cellar in Montreal. It was pretty impressed me. It is definitely worth to try.
Pricy but a great experience. You can even ask to have dessert in the wine cellar for free.
This place is a bit of a hidden find located inside a hotel/luxury condo complexe. The food is very good yet a bit pricey. We had pretty good yet very over priced cocktails & a great dinner. Service was cordious & friendly. The place was pretty slow on a Wednesday but we enjoyed it as it offered a more intimate setting. The one disappointment was the dessert that was actually really bad but I guess not every small restaurant can have a dessert chef.
It was our first time there. We were there for a birthday celebration, from the service to the dessert everything was off. The server kept putting their finger on our food, the main was okay & not hot. Waited a good 20mins for the birthday dessert while our servers were doing shots with other customers which was throughout the night. Very unprofessional specially when each guest spend around 90$ to100$. We go out to eat a lot, this restaurant is a very disappointing experience. Will not recommend this place
Spent my birthday there. very interesting tasting menu fusion, good atmosphere. Their desserts are very good & creative. We ate 3 hours. It was quiet around 5-6pm but gets super busy after 7pm. The restaurant was definitely worth to try if you visiting Montreal.
