The ricotta cavatelli was fantastic. My favorite dish of my whole trip. H3 also has an extensive wine list. They also offer a white & red tasting flight (3 small each) that was fun & informative.
We were part of one of two large groups for a holiday lunch. Colleagues seemed to enjoy their food though some mentioned that the salmon tataki, though tasty, didn't live up to its billing. It was generally felt that at least one more server might have made the service more even given the wait times for certain dishes & drinks (unfortunate since the restaurant is known for its impressive wine list). Busboys had to go above & beyond which was appreciated & most people on the floor appeared happy to be there. It's a difficult time of year for both service industry staff as well as diners splurging on a meal.
H3 offers a refined dining experience marked by great food, a stunning wine cellar, & consistently good service. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance & warmth, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed yet elevated meal. The dishes are thoughtfully crafted with bold flavors & polished presentation, & the impressive wine cellar adds an extra layer of charm, both visually & in the quality of pairings available. Service is friendly, attentive, & professional, rounding out a visit that feels special from beginning to end.
Delicious & lovely evening for the MTL à la Table évent. Thé tasting menu was fantastic only to be out done by the sommelier wine pairings. Great ambience & service. Highly recommend
It was my second time at this restaurant, great lunch specials but I would skip the tartare next time as it didn't taste fresh but the duck & mushroom risotto was excellent. Wine menu by the glass needs an update with better options & the servers are kind but too slow for a lunch rush but overall decent restaurant.
Great service & exceptional dishes. The wine pairing were perfect, all served in a very comfortable setting.
I had the opportunity to dine here recently & I am so happy I did.
Impeccable service. Great food. GORGEOUS WINES.
100% recommend. Do not hesitate to try this place out!!
Scrap my previous review. I had a slightly disappointing experience at the lounge due to slow service, but I'm glad it didn't deter me from trying out the restaurant. Im pretty sure I have never had a better meal in this city. Oysters were exceptional, steak was perfectly cooked & flavourful, & the panna cotta is a dream. It was better than any I've had in actual Italy, with a modern twist. The sommelier provided excellent advice for pairings. I'm surprised they weren't part of the Montreal restaurants mentioned in the Michelin guide because they are far superior to several of those picks (haven't tried them all, but the ones I have were completely eclipsed by this experience). It's a must try. Wines range from 120$ a bottle, to 500$+, so not a budget pick, but absolutely worth the experience.
Had a wonderfuull experience dining here for a dinner course.
We were touring & had snacked before, so got the 5 course dinner instead of 7.
I added the lobster tail & it was absolutely worth it. Every plate of the course was unique & tasted great.
The wine pairing was a great experience as well. All the wines had very clean finish, which we did like.
The place has great atmosphere overall & the course menu food came out in a timely manner. We had plans afterwards & were able to finish the whole course in an hour & a half.
The course menu pricing was fair, & with 4 wine glasses total, the wine pairing classique price was fair as well.
We go to a restaurant of this calibre once a year. The service & atmosphere is exceptional. We had the 5 course tasting menu. The food is very good, however there was a significant difference in the cooking & subsequent texture of the veal tenderloin for my wife & I. Mine was tough which was my only disappointment for the night. The dessert was top tier. My wife got the cocktail pairing & I got the lowest tier wine pairing - both were impressively matched with their respective meals, however even I could tell the wines themselves were not of great quality & I don't drink much wine. If you are a regular wine drinker then I think you'd be disappointed with this tier & would suggest to get the mid-tier or higher tier pairing.
Restaurant h3 offers a fantastic dining experience that combines modern flavors with a cozy atmosphere. The menu is creative & diverse, featuring fresh ingredients prepared with great attention to detail. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the perfect dish or wine pairing. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, Restaurant h3 delivers delicious food & excellent service that keeps you coming back.
Food was okay, but no wow factor.
Have eaten at ile flottante & boullion bilk & wanted to try a new tasting menu & wine pairing at a different restaurant & we were not extremely impressed. Food was good, cooked well, but had no outstanding factor to it. The wine pairing was very basic to the food.
The service was okay, again nothing outstanding to it. There was one course our wine was poured for the next plate & it didnt arrive for about 15 minutes.
One great thing about the restaurant was the valet parking, which was difficult to find but is free with a bill of 100$ & more.
Wouldnt go back for another experience for the price paid.
Wife & myself ate here the weekend before Xmas on a weekend trip to Montreal. We had the 5 course tasting & she had the paired wine. My wife said the Sommelier crushed it with her choices. My favorite dishes were the Wagyu & the tagliatelle. They were awesome! The condiments dish was very interesting with some hits & some misses. ( this is most likely personal preferences but the overall concept of dish #1 was good- the Chinese artichoke was the star of that plate). dessert was good but not great. Atmosphere was nice & staff very friendly. The value for money is exceptional especially if you're American. Definitely would go again on our next trip up.
Excellent place. Service was attentive but not intrusive, the menu selections for lunch were good, though a few more options wouldn't be unwelcomed. The quality of the food was excellent. I would rate the food quality 5 & overall 4.5 (due solely to the adequate but limited options) if google allowed me to. The wine suggestions were spot on. Overall highly recommend.
We tried the 5-course tasting menu which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We also included the basic wine pairing which worked really well & was a great discovery. Highly-recommend the restaurant.
Amazing food, service & atmosphere at a relatively affordable price for a fine dining restaurant. I recommend the 5-service dinner & one wine pairing for two if you are not a heavy drinker. You will not be disappointed.
There is room for improvement on the menu. We had the five-course meal. The first course featured overcooked & dried-out tuna. The lobster was good, but the pasta was too salty. The tuna in the main course was chewy, & while the corn tasted good, it could only be eaten with your hands. The dessert was the best course. The staff were mostly friendly & welcoming, & the wine selection was quite good!
The ambiance was charming, & the wine pairing was expertly curated, perfectly complementing each course. The highlight of the evening was enjoying a decadent dessert in their cozy wine cellar, adding a unique & memorable touch to the meal. Highly recommend!
5 stars is not enough for this restaunt! The professional server attended us a great view seat. All of the meal made us surprised. The wine was matched pefectly!! Merci🥰
We were there for the Mothers' Day Brunch 2024. The 4 to 5 service meal, plus desser, was not only excellent, the presentation was fantastic. Courteous & attentive staff. The place was full! Certainly going back soon, for dinner, their wine list is impressive.
