Great service & delicious food. We ordered a number of dishes & it was hard to choose our favorite. Only negative is the bathrooms could use a renovation & better cleaning!

The vegetarian dishes were good, lots of options (some with mock meat) & price was reasonable. We went in the late afternoon & ordered both from the dinner menu & dim sum menu, but the dim sum was not fresh. I find the restaurant's hygiene concerning. Several tea cups were not cleaned properly with lipstick, there were flies flying around.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Benny for providing delicious dim sum for our corporate event. The delivery was punctual, & Benny, along with the driver, went above & beyond by helping us bring the food into the building. Exceptional service & mouth-watering dishes-highly recommended!

I visited this restaurant after seeing some reviews & decided to give it a try. It has the typical ambiance of a Dim Sum spot, though it leaned heavily into common stereotypes. Unfortunately, the variety of Dim Sum was lacking, & the service left much to be desired. While our hostess was very kind & made us feel welcome, we were seated in a corner & waited over 30 minutes before anyone offered us water or checked in.
The selection was limited, & instead of pushing the carts around, they left them parked in the corner, so we had to keep asking for items. In the end, we only received five dishes before deciding to leave, as staples like chicken feet, shu mai, & hum bao were unavailable.
The only good things about the place was that the food is seasoned & it has flavor, & the egg tarts were good, the over service was sub par.

Unimpressed with the supper we had here. Spent 80$ for supper for 2. The quality of dishes were mediocre at best… quality went downhill since the last time I came….

My favorite dim sum restaurant in Montreal. Best selection of dishes. Very popular in weekends. Recommend going before noon if you don't want to wait for too long. Credit cards accepted but they add extra charges.

The Kim fung Restaurant has a not-so-good-but-energetic cart lady. She is also a scenery in the restaurant . The cart lady shouts & sells freshly cooked dishes, moving around the tables. She quickly & skillfully passes a few baskets of delicious dishes over the heads of the constant stream of diners. She also accurately stamps large, medium, small, & special dishes based on categories on the card paper with greasy hands. ( Sep 2024) Suggest to arrive there at 945am ，because the AC is getting colder & colder ,the food is more & more prepared. The Cantonese dimsun is ok , don't compare it with Vancouver,but still it is kind of comfort food for me.(Jun 2023)

The dim sum menu did not have prices. Is that normal? Some of the dishes were aggressively salty. That combined with a lack of water (& one tiny teapot for a table of 7 that was never refilled) left us feeling very parched. We asked for a refill on the tea but never received it. The service was friendly otherwise. Still, the dishes tasted good other than the saltiness. Portions were good as well.

Daily dim sum during the week is less good than on weekends. I did notice what felt like purposeful over charging which has been mentioned by othered (maybe the tea is 7-8$?). Many dishes here are very good. I'll continue to come but will check bill as they mark it, & I will really try to go on weekends only for dim sum. I may also order from main menu during week days.

The server took a good 20 mins to find our table. The food is actually somewhat decent. At the checkout, they charged 11 dishes (we had 10). I pointed out that the number is not quite the same... I am sure it never happens, although, it might worth to check it just to be sure...

Dim sum at night may not be traditional, but they had nearly their entire menu of dim sum items (as well as many other Chinese dishes) available at 8:30 & were still seating people until 9:15. Delicious, with friendly service & not crowded at that hour. Apparently the slightly tattered tablecloths are a tradition not a sign of neglect.

I have been to Kim Fung (was Kam Fung) many times in the past & loved it, but it has really gone downhill... We got 8 dim sum items off the carts & many were cold & not fresh. The xiao long bao was congealed inside-no soup in the soup dumplings. Our table & chairs were dirty. We found a few hairs in our dishes. Worst of all, we were seated a table just beside an exposed section of ceiling, with a bucket on the ground collecting leaking water. Two times during the mean, the ceiling gushed water onto me, my outfit & the table. To remedy this, the waiters gave us three napkins. We felt quite disgusted & also a bit queasy after.

My go to place for dim sum on weekends. Food is pretty good & portions are generous. Service is good & pricing is average but notice an increase in the last few months. In the evening we like to share 5 to 6 different dishes so we get to try different plates.

This is a perfect choice for authentic Chinese food. They never disappoint you. The quality & the freshness of the dishes is amazing. Fully recommend it

Looking for dumplings or siomai, it’s this side of town where you should be having authentic Chinese cuisine. Lots of choices that you wanted to taste each of their special dishes.

my first impression was not great— the floor is dirty, my seat had oil & crumbs, & a couple dishes needed to be swapped out because they were also dirty. the food WAS good i will give them that! it was a bit overpriced, though i suppose everything near old port is.
the carts used to bring food out were also wet & unsightly like something you see to stock chicken in grocery stores… you don’t go to dim sum expecting the keg atmosphere but this place is in serious need of a deep clean & new linens that aren’t ripped & stained . the food is genuinely tasty & i would love to come back but i don’t want to lose my appetite!
