The vibe is really nice & the drinks are really good. The food is less than average for the price, specifically the octopus which tasted like it was heated in the microwave
We had a nice evening at Pub Jelly overall. The food was mostly excellent-the beef tartare was absolutely delicious, & the octopus was also perfectly cooked & very tasty. Unfortunately, the potatoes were a bit of a letdown as they were overcooked, which surprised us since a friend had them before & remembered them being much better.
We also tried one of the pizzas, & sadly, it really missed the mark. The one with sour cream just didn't work for us flavor-wise-I wouldn't recommend it.
As for the service, while the staff was friendly & respectful, the experience felt a bit slow. We waited a long time before being able to order & before receiving our drinks, & we had to remind them about the octopus, which had been forgotten. It may have just been a busy night, but the delays stood out.
That said, the highlights on the menu made the visit worthwhile, & we'd consider coming back to try a few different things.
I really enjoyed this place. We just stumbled in it & really enjoyed it. The service was good, there were moments where it was a bit slow to check in drinks but it was overall good. The food was very good. We did a tasting menu & I really enjoyed every dish. They also have a good vegetarian option. Honestly me only issue with this place is the price of a drink. A cocktail is $21 & it was not good. It was really not to our liking, which could be on me... Can't love everything new that I try, but I do believe a mango margarita should have at least some sweetness. Not being to my liking aside, $21 for a small cocktail is ridiculous. I would probably go back, but I'd avoid cocktails.
Had been hyped up on this place for a while, so decided to try it on a weeknight. Rather crowded for a random Wednesday. Had a dinner DJ, as places do, but pleasant tunes & was an appropriate volume. Service was okay. Had to wait 10-15 minutes just to order drinks & another 10-15 to get them. I tend not to rate on service unless it's egregiously bad, & overall was fine here, but was a bit slow for a place marketing itself on quality. Food, on the other hand, was overall not impressive. Split a few apps, one of which had some sort of chickpea cake which, to their credit, was one of the best things I've eaten in a while. Partner had a meat dish as a main & I tried the pizza. Some of the flavor combos were interesting (cauliflower on pizza?), but the techniques & the refinement weren't there for a place of this price range. It tasted like if a dive-y pub tried to serve tasting plates...guess that explains the "pub" in the name? Overall, I can imagine it being okay for a mid-day vin & snack if you're a hardworking businessman in the area, but don't go out of your way.
bartender (responsable des closes) tres gentil & sympathique mais la serveuse asiatique très bête & manque de savoir vivre. (prix un peu cher, 25$ pour un drink)

Really nice experience there. The waitress recommended us a few dishes & explained to us how it usually goes at Pubjelly & she had a nice attitude. We got around 6 plates & were pretty much full by the end. The drink looked small for the price but it packed quite some punch which is good for the price (40$~ for the cocktail pitcher) The food was superb. Loved the fried cauliflower, a recommendation that the waitress gave us. The pizza at the end was good & is definitely enough to fill one person alone even with half of it. Overall, i recommend this place & would definitely go again.
Definitely my personal favorite restaurant in Montreal. The food is amazing, both in quality, taste & presentation. The menu changes slightly over time, which makes every experience a bit different & unique. Chef Mathieu is definitely on another level. The service by Loïc is also a major force behind the experience; he is very knowledgeable & nice, bringing his touch to the service. When going there, we like to give him liberty in suggesting/choosing drinks for us based on the plates he suggests, & everything is always perfectly on point, as he happily jumps into our way of doing this
What a great vibe! Loved everything about it! The service, the food & the drinks. Our waiter was phenomenal, he was able to suggest things on the menu according to our taste, he was on point! We had a variety choice of oysters, soooo good & so fresh! We pretty much ordered a bunch of things on the menu & everything was delicious! I would definitely come back!!
