Hong Mère propose un vaste éventail de plats chinois du nord authentiques avec des saveurs marquées et des portions généreuses, salués pour un service familial sympathique, des plats phares et des options à emporter ou en livraison rapides; l'ambiance est dite améliorée après la rénovation et certaines expériences mettent en valeur le wok et l'approche des épices. En parallèle, certains plats sont jugés trop salés ou gras, l'exécution et le rapport qualité prix varient d'une visite à l'autre, et quelques soucis de service ou de facturation ont été signalés, ce qui rappelle que les expériences diffèrent selon les visites.
The ma po tofu & fried rice were very nice. The other dishes were too much batter, barely any meat & not very similar as the pictures on the menu. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the orange beef & crispy pork, they were both too sweet & not balanced in flavours.
Eggroll came still cold in the middle. Mapo tofu was delicious but very salty. Food was reasonably priced & came quickly. Overall, my experience was below-average but not horrible. Could've just been a bad day.
I must have gone on an off day or something, as the meat dish I ordered was inedible where I couldn't finish the dish nor did I want to take it home. By far the worst Chinese restaurant food dish I've ever experienced in Montréal. Perhaps their vegetarian dishes are much better, such as a tofu or eggplant based one.
Really exceeded my expectations. Food came fast, water was always filled up, food was awesome, portions were great. Checks all the boxes & it was delicious. Very authentic. It will be our to-go Chinese place !
Uber... I'm very disappointed. The only dish that was good was the pork knuckle. Everything else was terrible.
Spring rolls burnt.... Fried Rice way too starchy... Pineapple, chicken unrecognizable inadequal breading, totally soaked... Beef & vegetables also not good... beef is either poor quality or they don't velvet their beef before they cook it.
Shrimp sezchuan inedible... consistency like mashed potatoes.
I would not recommend this restaurant unless all you order is the pork knuckle.
The food at Xiang Mama in Montreal was really good; the two of us finished all four dishes, especially the sweet & sour pork. As someone from Northeast China, it was truly wonderful to try, it tasted just like home.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Montreal. The dishes taste the same as those in the restaurants in China. I am Chinese & this is the restaurant that I highly recommend to my colleagues & friends.
Toujours très rapide, sur place comme pour emporté. Le personnel est courtois & professionnel, & la nourriture est délicieuse. Je recommande le tofu au beurre d'arachides avec les épinards croustillants. Merci!!
