Most of the nearby restaurants have long lineups & we traded for Pho Bang New York with no line up, & it was getting late. We ordered 2 identical medium Size rare beef Pho, nothing sophisticated & basic in order that we can get our order fast. What is basic for one is not basic for others as it took a long time to get just 2 bowls of Pho. The soup was hot but not boiling hot as I would have expected. Taste was just OK, & the amount of meat was satisfactory. I was sitting at the end table facing the kitchen entrance & I can tell you that the sight was not a good one. I can tell when hygiene is not on the top priority list. I hate to visualize how the interior kitchen would look like. We finished our lunch & went to the cashier to foot the bill & a sign " Cash Only" took me by total surprise. I do not always carry cash on me but luckily I had just enough to settle the bill. I subsequently read the reviews & crystal clear that I am not the only one caught with the Cash Only situation. This teaches me a lesson of not reading the reviews before going in a restaurant or business.
We choose pho for dinner. It was so good. The broth rich but not too bold suitable with the spices..i will recommend if the weather cold that would be perfect 😄✌️
It was a cool October Montreal day & we wanted some Pho to warm us up after several hours of sight seeing. The menu had great selection but 3 of us ordered the #1 (special Pho) & the 4th ordered the #42 (shrimp & vegetable Pho). It was super busy & lined up around lunch but tables turn over quickly & we were seated after about 15 mins. The Pho was pretty average. However the service was a bit below par. One of our group wanted a fork & we had to ask no less than 4 times for one. Also, we wanted a tea pot refill & they took away the pot but never returned it until we skied them twice. Pricing was fair for what you got with most dishes around $15. Note they only accept cash so make sure you bring $ or you can always use the ATM next to the till for an exorbitant fee 😆
It's my favorite pho place in Montreal! The price is so worth it & delicious!! They give a lot of meat as well! I've come here for over 10 years, & it never disappoints. My only disappointment, however, is due to a young staff that has no manners. I don't particularly mind the person not having steady hands to put the bowls down on the table, but they didn't even apologized when they spilled all over my relative's phone. My family & I were served by this young staff for the past 4 visits this year & the behavior only got worse... Being clumsy is one thing, but surely apologizing should be something everyone should do when they make an evident mistake... at the very least, I hope I get served by the older waiters because of this. Take note that they only accept cash here. If you don't have cash, there is an ATM in the restaurant.
L'un des meilleurs pho pour moi a montreal, super rapide & super bon.
I used to come here often but my recent trip was somewhat disappointing. Food came out super fast which was great. However, I found the pho broth salty & my partner's rice was overcooked (mushy). The flavour of the lemongrass beef was amazing though & the imperial rolls were good too. We had to signal several times for water & cutlery & got a hand dismissing us at one point. If you're in the area & want good Vietnamese I would come here but do not go out of your way when there are so many other places around the city.
Tellement bonne & authentique 💕
Good average pho place, nothing spectacular, but decent. Typical chinatown service. I kinda like the hectic atmosphere, not for everyone but I lived in chinatown in hawaii for many years so it felt kinda homey. Cash only place so be prepared with a few queen elizabeths in your wallet.
Pho was good, everything else was just ok. Seemed like a local spot for a lot of people. Maybe we didn't know what to order, but it was just average, disappointingly.
Came here multiple times to eat! Very great place for phõ, one of the best in the city. I always order the #9, rare beef & tripe. Although the soup is delicious, the service isn't the best. We waited around 20 mins for our water & my friend never got his soda. Overall, it's a great place for delicious phõ!
I am from NYC & love this restaurant. More importantly, my kids love this restaurant. This restaurant introduced my kids to Vietnamese food. We went two years in a row. I had #15 Grilled beef, my son #14 Beef & Chicken, my wife the Pho, daughter noodles & broth. All was good.
Food tasted great! My wife had the pho & I had the grilled pork & shrimp with rice. Servers were busy, not really approachable, but attention to small details.
If you want to find a place that is cheap & wants to be filled you won't be disappointed. The pho here is good. The only issue I have with the service is that it is cash only, there is an ATM within the restaurant but it has a service charge of $2.65.
Pho was the best after PHO75 in D.C. Rice sauce was no.1 for me. My kids love the food.
Simple & savoureux! Argent comptant seulement.
