Originating from a small Nam Vang Hu Tieu restaurant at 94 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Saigon, Vietnam, which was started in 1982 by a Cambodian refugee Pol Pot family. Pho Anh proudly sells only famous pure Vietnamese dishes with distinctive flavours, original display. Pho Anh first opened its doors to Canadian diners in August 2014 in Vaughan, Ontario. The quantity of noodles for the bun cha was so small relative to price & about half the size of what would be provided in Vietnam. There was portion of meat was big but it was lower quality that you would get from street vendors in Hanoi & disappointing that it didnt taste charcoal grilled & the patty was not like a hamburger (like it would be in Hanoi). No chili pepper, garlic, lime, nuoc mam, or kumquat provided to balance flavours. The lettuce & herbs were good (no bean sprouts). Not terrible but a bit of a disappointment especially considering the price. Nem is extra charge.
I really enjoyed my meal at Pho Anh with my friends. The pho was delicious, with a rich & flavorful broth & fresh ingredients. The portions were generous & the service was friendly. It's a cozy place & perfect when you're craving a comforting bowl of pho. I'll definitely be back! 🍜
This place was a pleasant surprise.
The grilled chicken really stood out - the flavor was quite unique & the doneness was just right. It came with a salad & some lightly pickled carrots, which paired beautifully with the chicken & added a nice, refreshing contrast.
I'd highly recommend the grilled chicken rice - very well balanced & satisfying.
We also tried the noodle, which was more on the classic side. It was good & solid.

Quality is excellent, flavor is unique to the northern region of Vietnam! Noodles, meat & broth are on point! Sauce & sides are amazing & home made as well. Unreal service!
Most unique flavoured Pho I've ever had! Northern style soup, the owner explained to us how to prepare the soup (mix it) before we started eating it. Homemade fermented hot sauce, pickled chilis & garlic. Bonafide Vietnamese, this is my spot

Went to this store with friends on a whim, & was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is very warm & relaxing, & the food tastes amazing. We ordered & barely had to wait for our food, & it was really good! The owner was super nice & chatty, & he makes you feel welcome. I would totally recommend this place if you're looking for a good meal that's reasonably priced & has good portions!
Also super close to gym complex for McGill students! Lovely spot if you want a quick meal after classes or during the day.
Overall, 10/10 experience, this place is a hidden gem!
Ce restaurant m'a été recommandé & je comprend pourquoi!! Les ingredients étaient d'une fraicheur exceptionnelle. J'ai lu sur un autre commentaire que le bouillon prend 3 jours à preparer. La différence se remarque tout de suite. C'est vraiment incroyable, je recommande. Je serai de retour pour sûre!

Enfin un resto viet dans le quartier qui ose un peu la différence! Tous les plats que j'y ai essayés étaient délicieux & chacun présentait une originalité & un raffinement qu'on n'a pas l'habitude de voir. Très bon rapport qualité-prix!
Was very surprised that this restaurant had such good reviews, but my friends & I have experienced one of the worst service ever. We were four, my plate came about 15min after my friends' plates. & we have waited 45min prior of that to get the first main dish (appetizer were fast to be delivered) seems like it was the first day of all the waiters. They didn't even acknowledge the wait & say sorry. Food is not bad, but this restaurant won't be an option in the future.
Je comprend pas la bonne note. J'y suis allé hier & notre expérience était vraiment nulle. La localisation est bonne mais c'est tout. Nous avons reçu nos plats après plusieurs autres client qui sont arrivés après nous. Nous avons failli partir tellement c'était long (plus de 45 min) La soupe Tonki était correct mais sans plus mais à 19$ il y a vraiment meilleur ailleurs. La salade de papaye dégueulasse on la retourné. Il ont essayé de nous le charger malgré que nous avons specifié qu'on a vraiment pas aimé & qu'il allait pas nous charger .. les serveurs ne parlaient pas vraiment français (ça me dérange pas tant normalement) mais la c'est une accumulation de mauvaise expérience. Il manque peut être de temps & d'expérience au staff mais honnêtement pour 50$ pour une pho & une entrée & tips, allez ailleurs.
