Pho Anh is widely celebrated as an authentic, family-run gem in Montreal, offering a deeply comforting and flavorful northern-style culinary experience. Many diners praise the broth for its richness and complexity, noting that the homemade condiments and sauces elevate the meal to a level rarely found elsewhere. While some guests have noted occasional delays during peak hours or specific preferences regarding traditional ingredients, the overwhelming majority of reviews highlight the exceptional quality of the food, the generous portions, and the genuine, passionate service provided by the owners and staff. This cozy establishment has clearly earned a reputation as a must-visit destination for those seeking a true taste of Vietnam, with many patrons expressing their intent to return for the superb pho, grilled specialties, and warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Taste of Vietnam in Montreal, especially if you are looking for legitimate Broken Rice, this place has it, other places serve you jasmine rice or regular rice, which isn't Vietnamese version of Com Tam.
Also, they serve different broths for each type of protein such as Beef Pho, Chicken Pho, or Vegetables Pho. Usually one broth for all in other places, so kudos to the dedication of serving the Pho broths distinctively here!
We came in a big group so there was a bit of wait time for the food due to large orders, so that's totally normal.
Their BBH also amazing, hit the spot! You have extra sate & fried chilies flakes on the side for added kick!
Tbh the best pho I've ever had!!! Love this place & will definitely come back again. Rare beef pho & summer rolls are amazing. The pickled garlic & chilli oil are so good too❤?
Such a fun, cozy spot. Loved the service & the educational tips on how to correctly eat all the food.
Got the beef Pho with the egg on the side, highly recommend the egg. Unique experience & really fun to eat! Seems a bit odd at first but definitely worth it.
Prices are good, resteraunt is clean & cozy & would definitely return.
What a lovely place! The food was delicious but the service was even better!
The owner took the time to show me the Vietnamese way to experience the dish, customising my pho to make it super traditional & was so proud of his food, which was delightful.
Told me i shouldn't need to add any condiments to my pho because he already seasons it well & it was absolutely true…best beef broth i've had so far.
We ordered fried egg rolls & rare beef pho. The egg rolls were very crispy, & the pho soup was excellent. The shop owner is very friendly, & the food is worth the price. I definitely recommend it.
My friends & I enjoyed a delicious meal here while visiting Montreal. When we first entered, it seemed that there would be no seating available, until the owner quickly put together group seating for all six of us. From that moment, we knew we were in for a great experience. The restaurant was very busy when we went, & as such, it did take some time for us to get our food. However, the atmosphere was both fun & comfortable, giving us quality time to talk to one anotherr. Even better, the food more than made up for any wait. I ordered the chicken vermicelli, & most of my friends had the beef pho. The owner came out & gave us excellent advice on how to mix & enjoy our respective dishes, along with great conversation. Each dish was made fresh with real care & dedication; it's clear that everyone who works there puts love into the meals they create, ensuring diners will enjoy them too. To top it off, the Vietnamese iced coffee they served was the best I'd ever had. It was an incredible experience overall. If you're looking for a good meal in a great place, go to Pho Anh.
Stopped in this morning on New Year's Eve! Let me tell you, very authentic, true to Vietnam taste & preparation! Two types of broth, one for beef & one for chicken. Both are very delicious. The summer rolls were amazing as well! Happy New Year Pho Anh!
northern plates, the pho ga is extremely good. the noodles pho are quality. beef salad is very good as well, it has a personal touch. bun chan meats are better than in hanoi. my only ask is to give more herbs!! Vietnamese food is all about herbs!
